How would you describe the text clarity for office work? I'm considering this but coming from a 4K 32" I'm worried about how smooth and clear the text displays for document or web perusing. Thanks for the help!
So Ultra-Wide monitors are only 2k resolution. They are very clear with good text (most of them) but will have a noticeable difference when coming from a 4k monitor. I believe a 4k Ultra-Wide monitor is coming out in 2025. This will be the greatest thing for monitors ever!
But you asking about this monitor lol yes the text is good and clear. But it's curved and wide. I'll ask is your monitor curved? What is the refresh rate of it? What computer do you have?
@ No I game sometimes but I’m not a intensive gamer. I’m having a hard time picking a monitor I’m mostly looking for good quality, vibrant colors, and overall works well. I’m even debating getting a Oled but I’m not sure if it will be necessary for me.
@umasaidy6627 This monitor should be good. You just need to go into the settings when you get it and make it perfect for your eyes. I've found each monitor needs to be set, so I like it best. They usually don't come looking the way I want. Sometimes, they have a preset I like, which is cool.
Any issues with black smearing? This feels like it would be a great do it all kind of monitor but a lot of the tech channels have me scared to choose VA over IPS.
LG 34WP65C-B vs. AOC CU34G3S. I see you reviewed both of these monitor and now I am considering to buy one of these, thought you might be able to recommend one. I do work from home + some casual story games (no competitive stuff), so I’m after something with great colors and no motion blur or smearing during normal use or scrolling. Would love to hear which one you'd recommend! Awesome review by the way, keep it up! 👍
I edit 4K videos for my RUclips channel and do slight gaming, I have a older LG 4k 32 inch monitor....I like to see this....for 4K editing will I loose any quality using this ?
Yes, this is basically a 2k monitor 3440 x 1440p. What you have is 3840 x 2160p, so you will lose some pixels, making your editing different. But the Ultra-Wide 21:9 aspect ratio will make video editing better as you get more screen space. I think 4k Ultra-Wide monitors are coming in 2025, so if you wait, that would be perfect for you. 😁
I just bought the LG 34WR50QC-B for $200 at Walmart. The refresh rate on it is only 100hz. I saw that they have this exact model you’re reviewing and it would come out to $310 on Amazon. Do you think I should spend the extra money and go for the one you reviewed here? I just do casual gaming and note taking.
This monitor is newer as the G5 came out in 2020. So it has newer tech making a little better. Plus it has an amazing stand. But the G5 has an amazing image quality with smooth gameplay. Will you be using this for gaming primarily?
@AtHomewithLucas Thank you. I currently have a matte ultra wide computer monitor. I would like to find a 32 or 34-inch glossy, anti-glare, anti-reflective computer monitor. Similar to what the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra looks like now.
So i am buying monitor in black Friday discount and i have this monitor on my radar i just want to know will its gonna mess with me when I'm gonna play competitive games like cs2,star wars battlefront 2,war thunder
I heard that ultra wide monitros are not good for competitive and stuff and my friend said your pc is good but consider 1080 p monitor it may not handle well. Idk about his thought i have I5 12 gen Rtx4060 8gb 32gb DDR 4 1tb ssd 7 fan,idk if now i am saying ridiculous thing but will this pc specs be problem?
You should be good to go with your pc setup. As for not being good for some gaming yes Ultra-Wide monitors have a learning curve and are not good for some games.
im looking to buy a monitor. i want a 34 inch ultra wide screen with atleast 120hz. the use will be a good balance between gaming and work, im new to this and have no idea what a few options are. what would be a good few options?
I just purchased this monitor today. It was an amazing deal for Black Friday. Plugged in first look on the ps5 it was blurry. It doesn’t support 120 hz at all I ran COD, GTA 5. I am not happy with it returning it in the morning.
I have the samsung odyssey g5 34" monitor and debating if I should return it for the lg? I can't get the g5 to play 1440 and 120hz only 1080 120hz on my xbox series x Would the lg be better?
@nal0s0ljah so the G5 has a hdmi 2.0 port and this LG has a hdmi 2.0 port. Your Xbox series x has a hdmi 2.1 that allows for a faster refresh rate. It's a little bit confusing on what hdmi version allows what. But these monitors will probably be similar in hdmi refresh rate.
@AtHomewithLucas yes it's confusing the g5 will only do 1080 120hz when it should be able to do 1440 120hz. I know the samsung - odyssey bg65 definitely has hdmi 2.1. But seeing the LG works with xbox and ps5? Sucks as I seen people state the samsung g5 34 works as well. Tried updating the firmware but it has a newer version already installed. Not sure that firmware caps it at 1080 120hz
I don't like ultra wide moniteur i test this but i return it i prefer a dual screen You lose many performance and you have less compatibility 21:9 for games and movie

I just learned about "UFO monitor test" wasn't able to do it for this one, but my future monitor reviews will.
Hopefully, I covered everything in this video. If not, let me know, and I'll get back to you asap. ❤
helped a lot. thanks dude
Hey thanks for the feedback! 💯😁
Question I’m debating between this and the dell s3422dwg,which would you choose?
Hey are you going to be gaming on the monitor? If so get the Asus.

@@AtHomewithLucasjust bought it,right after you said this should be good lol I was stressing and I’m quite indecisive. Thank you for your input.
Happy to help...keep me updated on how you like it. 😁
Any issues with black smearing? This feels like it would be a great do it all kind of monitor but a lot of the tech channels have me scared to choose VA over IPS.
Will you be gaming 100% of the time on this monitor?
Actually no. Mostly productivity and then some gaming here and there.
I'm sure you will enjoy this monitor then. I didn't notice anything like black smearing.
@ that’s good to hear. Thanks man! Great review.

LG has a better stand. AOC might have more gaming settings but it's very hard to navigate. I'd pick the LG

Great question. I would load up a game and see if the 100hz is too slow for you. If you feel it's slow while gaming return it.
Therefore, if configured correctly, ghosting will be minimal?
Yes ghosting is caused by several different factors like pc hardware and monitor settings.
@@AtHomewithLucas Thanks
If you were to choose between this 34WP65C and Samsung S5 S50GC just for watching movies which one would it be? Thanks for the reviews.
I personally think curved monitors are better than flat panels.
Thanks I was comparing these 2 monitors as well, lucky he reviewed both
@gumdakji7207 happy to help
Did bro say it has “1 ems”?
1ms means 1 millisecond response time
Did I? Lol 🤦♂️ I 100% know it's 1ms must have mumbled 🤷♂️
Looking at black Friday deals, would you choose this monitor or the Samsung Odyssey G5?
This monitor is newer as the G5 came out in 2020. So it has newer tech making a little better. Plus it has an amazing stand. But the G5 has an amazing image quality with smooth gameplay. Will you be using this for gaming primarily?
@AtHomewithLucas Casual gaming but also photoshop and productivity
@marytedeschi757 I'd buy the LG 👍😀
@@AtHomewithLucaswhat about the g93sc Samsung monitor?
@yea3722 Oh that's looks amazing! On sale for $1047
Is this computer monitor glossy or matte?
It's a slight matte, but not so much it darkens the screen. Most Ultra-Wide monitors are matte.

Do you think it would work well for ps5?
Yes...but did you Google PS5 Ultra-Wide Monitor?
@@AtHomewithLucas I did and apparently the ps5 doesn't support ultra-wide?

@superiorityguy I believe you need to adjust the settings in your PS5 so it can work with an Ultra-Wide monitor. Just Google "Ultra-Wide Monitor PS5"

Yes i think Ultra-Wide monitors are almost perfect. We just need all screens to go 21:9 to get there.
