Wow! Thank you so so much for this video. I can't believe I can hit the like button only once. This is a maxim! God bless you.

This was really helpful. Thank you for this tutorial. I wanted to ask if you managed to get the Pitch and Mod wheels working on Cakewalk for the Oxygen MKV please? I'm not sure about how to get those working from what I've been looking up online.

Hi, those should be working without any set up. Do they not work?

@@MichaelJohnMUSlC Sorry for my late reply back. So the Modular wheel works fine in Cakewalk, but the pitch/expression wheel (Left wheel) doesn't.

Amazing and thank you. The only thing I am missing is how to assign Master Vol to Slider 9. Are you able to explain? Cheers!

Slider 9 on the m-audio should already be controlling Master fader in cakewalk when in DAW mode. In preset 8 for tracks 9-16 you have to set all the controls including the master youself as I explain at the 25:00 mark. I show an example of setting a slider and knob. Do the same for Master and all others as needed. If master is not working in DAW mode then set it manually yourself - 1. move slider 9. 2. right click master slider in cakewalk 3. click Remote Control. 4. click Learn 5. move slider 9, click OK

I could also not get fader 9 working initially for the Master Volume. After a lot of hair pulling, in the Mackie Control 1 under Utilities, I changed the "Master Fader" option from Master to BUS and that did the trick. It instantly worked. I also set it up for preset P08 so that fader 9 (via remote control with learn) would control master volume when not in DAW mode as well. I am using the latest version of Cakewalk on Win10 and the most resent firmware on the Oxygen 49 MKV. I am now onto programming the buttons but when I go into the ACT Control under Utilities, the labels changed from B1, B2 to the Control numbers ( C30, C31 ) instead. I am not quite sure why. I should still be able to program them though. Awesome work and video Michael.
