Unless this is being done for video content, I failed to understand any other reason for this restoration. All the concentration, effort and dedication by these guys could have produced something similar and strong with the use of new steel.

Hi there I just want to add a comment the reason this wouldn't be done in the Western world is because why would you I mean if you look at if you compare America or England to Pakistan why you know in Pakistan let's see say the obviously haven't got the money to keep building they haven't got the economy basically like America has or England has or developed Western world house this is why they make do and reuse you know I mean look at this truck why would you you know in the Western world that truck will be scrapped a long time ago if you look at the way they are doing the work you got no safety helmets or gloves or clothes just to me it's a very backward and primitive people

Great job, but it is NOT A RESTORATION, it is taking an old truck chassis and making a new one.
Restoration means "returning things to their original state", if the cabin is not the original, it is different, and the tank has not been touched. It is not a restoration.
Still I give it a good rating, because the work is well done.
My opinion is this is definitely not a 60 year old truck restoration. It is a new truck fabrication using salvage parts from old retired or discarded vehicles. In short a new old truck. Something these small Pakistani fabrication shops are very good at. They take old parts and create a new truck out of them which will provide a good service life to the customer using affordable materials and fabrication skills of the employed staff.
It’s 😮 hilarious! They really make the most of what they got.. unfortunately in America, we waste more then we use.
This video reminds me of the first Iron Man, Tony Stark built this in a CAVE! With a box of Scraps! Haha

It hasn't at all 60 years. It's a Daewoo from mid 80s
I also see the issue with calling it a 60 year old resto as its more a refab with the camera putting different parts together. One complaint, they need to do a better jib of preparing the parts by cleaning, sanding, degreasing before assembling. This is the only way to be sure you caught any small cracks that could impact the duration of the new "fix". There were even some parts that had accumulated mud that added significant weight where it didnt belong. Gotta do better in the future and invest in a mobile sandblast unit. Clean parts also weld better.
Interesting work in the video anyway.
Wonder how long it took them to do that. Wow what a dirty, tough job. Those guys earn their pay. I did not expect to see any paint on that frame.

the pakistani mechanics are skilled in many ways but let themselves down by never using spring or flat washers when bolting things down and i know for certain that in the factory when the vehicle was new, they would have them fitted

Looks like they switched to a different set of frame rails from the ones they were straightening,those didn’t have the inner rail to double up the frame, or the new piece that was being welded together!

While a cab is refurbished elsewhere, we get a long video of dudes welding mostly one strut of the frame.
Restoration is not relly true it was a swap and go job different cab and engine chassis and tank may been the same the rest is totally different job
