One of the best covers I’ve ever heard. Rossen really made it justice and didn’t miss the weird Judee chords, even added an extra one unexpectadly. Fantastic
I'm seriously so glad I could find this song like genuinely it's so heavenly but still melancholic and yet so beautiful completely masterpiece the original version is also deeply emotionally attached but this one hit different for me I love this song so much
I wonder who disliked this video; one of those people who think nice work like this should never be adapted? or do they genuinely not like the song? In my humble opinion, Daniel Rossen is an exemplary musician and typically, the way he arranges songs he did not write himself is respectful and a form or gesture of praise for the original. I think he's one of the most brilliant musical minds out there right now. Go Dan!
Judee's original is amazing. She uses some unique tuning on her guitar; her voice hits highs and lows effortlessly. Her breathing and finger picking are immaculate. Daniel gives a Beatles-like spin to her masterful composition. It's cute and well done. Glad to see Judee getting more recognition in this way.
think this is probably the best cover I've ever heard. Retains the beautiful melodies of the original and fleshes them out, making them his own with, amongst others, that great running up bass line at the end of the chorus and some heavenly opening harmonies.
The fact that people love and hate this song (cover) equally really shows us how magical of a piece this version is. Of course it's not for everyone, and you're allowed to say it sucks. But it still polarized you, it had an impact no matter what.
I've heard the waterfall roarin' again Since I've been lovin' you With my poor heart in my throat, I begin Livin' the dream come true Tumblin' down comes the water Ticklin' every stone On the edge tremblin', I taught her My fate unknown But my fear has flown And your love comes to lead us home From a small trickle it grows Watchin', I wait enthralled For the momentum to carry us off Over the rushing falls Tumblin' down comes the water Tickling every stone Pass the suns rays growing hotter The cascade drones Through glistening fall Your love comes to lead us home Since dawn has shown One night's overthrown Your love comes to lead us home I've heard the waterfall roarin' again Since I've been lovin' you...

i normally listen to slayer and metal bands only, (some chopped and screwed jams too of course) but this is surprisingly good. i mean you won't catch me buying this record in a record store or nuttin' like that. but yeah this is good. i mean i'm in such a weird place right now about my music conflict. i do like this though. yeah, i like it. too bad judee wasn't around for the metal goodness or the chopped and screwed era either. sad.

please, please, please, listen to the original JUDEE SILL VERSION. Honestly, this is very overproduced and missed the point of the song. Listen to the Judee Sill demo version.
kinda overwrought. over done. nice try. people creaming over this need to listen to the original. but then this style of singing is popular sort of commercially viable. meh.
I listen to this song everyday after school and it makes my day so much better
listen to the Judee Sill version instead.

I was so moved by the beauty of this song that tears started streaming down my face

Buzzerede. You’re a real one for uploading this. Been coming to it for years.
Daniel Rossen is officially a music magician. He has a unique sound. FFS, he made a JoJo cover sound amazing.
tgf my amazing friend who told me to give this song a listen. never heard of it before & am BLOWN AWAY by how soothing & lovely this song is (:

The fact that she was referenced in Sunblind by Fleet Foxes made my heart happy

the guitar chord progression before the first verse (after the intro choir-y vocals) sounds like clementine by elliott smith
This song makes me feel peaceful without sounding all smooth, sorta like the Beatles but more modernized. LOVELY!
This is my first time hearing this song and im in tears!!! so so beautiful
He has such a cool voice, perfect for this kind of music.

Perfect
fcukin amazing
@wantmohr its possible that you know this already but rossens solo album is coming out on 20th of march this year
I've heard the waterfall roarin' again
Since I've been lovin' you
With my poor heart in my throat, I begin
Livin' the dream come true
Tumblin' down comes the water
Ticklin' every stone
On the edge tremblin', I taught her
My fate unknown
But my fear has flown
And your love comes to lead us home
From a small trickle it grows
Watchin', I wait enthralled
For the momentum to carry us off
Over the rushing falls
Tumblin' down comes the water
Tickling every stone
Pass the suns rays growing hotter
The cascade drones
Through glistening fall
Your love comes to lead us home
Since dawn has shown
One night's overthrown
Your love comes to lead us home
I've heard the waterfall roarin' again
Since I've been lovin' you...

this reminds me so much of Disney
better than origination.

Can't please everyone.
Sounds weirdly similar to Mac Demarco singing to me, but I have to agree - it's not a patch on the original. Not a bad rendition though.
ciaran byrne YAY MAC DEMARCO
he did and that was not that good.

I find this version way more beautiful. also, rossen ain't mainstream at all if thats what u mean.
This is a tribute mate! U can always listen to the original. Covers are beautiful and Don't take away from the original
