@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 but macrocantha will spread alot and if we put pot on terrace,it will look good from road passer-by? You tell me how mediopta Alba look good or not?
@@navdeepsingh-pk5qk it just depends what you like 😊, there is no wrong choice, if you keep them in a medium pot they may not grow as large for awhile.
Marija I'm going to buy macrocantha because you told me it looks more cute, can you tell me what is actual color of your macrocantha leaves and thorns color?
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 ok marija, red looks good 👍,actually I had seen other variety of macrocantha it has varigated variety maybe, maybe you live Mexico native habitat of agaves?
There’s regular gigantic blue agave americana in my area planted outdoors that have survived 0f outdoors. I’m in zone 8a in the southeast us and we get cold rainy weather for multiple weeks and it doesn’t bother them at all. People plant them not realizing just how big they actually get and it takes over the yard lol
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 good, marija you tell me beautiful small agave variety I'm confused which one to buy,you told macrocantha but it can be kept indoor and how big it is,titonota is cute or potatorium? In India very less varieties available at nursery even online too less available
Marija I have a question,I have bought agave desmettiana,it's very big plant I think 2 feet high, nursery guys already pruned cut it's lower leaves,my question is if I prune it's poor little bit and burry its cuts deep, will it grow?
They are decorative parts of the plant so it would be shame to cut them 😊 but you can... they won’t die if you do... Once I worked with a volunteer in a conservatory that I told to cut yellow brown ends in agaves, meaning dry ends and he cut off all the tips on big agave plants 😄... they all survived and grew new leaves... he felt so bad when he found out what he did
Hi, thank you for your video, can you explain better about the "Burn"?, I have an agave slow grower, I don't know the exact name but one of the leaf has a burn spot, soft brown color and another leaf is breaking in the side with also a burn mark, thank you for your help.
It’s just unsightly but it’s not going to kill plant and you can leave it as it is. You can remove it if it bothers you 😊. I usually wait for the plant to grow more leaves and then I remove it.
I love Agaves too. Such easy and bulletproof plants!
Chris C yes! Not needing much care. Last to go in. Not many problems with pests.
Looks like you are in your new house. Kitchen looks great
❤️
Not moved completely yet but we work there a lot and plants and cars have been there for a few weeks 😊
U have a good collection of cacti n succulents
Keep up
Nice video ji
Great video! TFS 💕
Thank you so much, I really needed this information . Hope your enjoying the new home
Yes, very much!
I can't wait till see your new cactus and succulent heaven done ...
If we cut off the bloom stalk early when it's still short, will that prevent the agave from dying?
I don’t think so… I think it will die but it will give you a lot of babies as it is duying
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 thank you :)
According to you which of them looks most beautiful agave?
I really love macroacantha, but it is hard to decide 🤷🏻♀️

Vin Soriano we had blue large agave outside here in Michigan and it became mushy from all the snow and cold. You are correct they do get so large 😊
Marija you kept them indoor?,I'm going to buy now lopantha super white and Victoria Regina, where to place them?
I keep them outside from May till October because they live a lot of light, but they can survive inside.

Can I clip the needles without doing damage to the plant? Will the needles grow back?
Needles will never go back but the plant will live. Some people cut them so they are not as pokey but I think it looses on beauty without those tips
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 yes marija is right, real beauty of agave which attracts me is those thorns on tips 😊

how often do you water your agaves? i recently got one.
Once a week, but sometimes in neglect them few weeks 😄

@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 thank you for your input, I appreciate your experience and kindness ❤️🥰💐cannot wait for your next video. 🤓
If an entire leaf at the base is brown/dried out, what is the best way to remove it?
Just cut it off as close to the base with something wide and sharp enough, agave leafs can be hard to cut through
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 thanks, will do!

Jana Milošević 😄😄 yes, cici je sef jer se ona preselila a mi jos nismo 😻
Nice video. But 5 agaves are too few. You should have more. :-)))
