He has admitted as much, and it shows. Ever since, he has mellowed and allow himself to take a less serious approach. The fact the group delivered big time and helped financially save the company, probably weights too. I mean, they were officially allowed to have boyfriends just 3 years after debut, which still today is a big no in the industry.
Actually his favourite grp is Wonder Girls. The relationship he had with WG is unparalleled coz he was their everything. He is still very close with TWICE tho.
