    I was the owner of that bike (sold it now).
    Some small corrections about what Cager said.
    The side stand did NOT have a sensor to turn off the bike when you put first gear, but it did have a strong spring that made the side stand pop up with immense force as soon as you hardly touched the motorcycle (making it very easy to fall by touching it).(This was one of the things i changed).
    The back brake pedal is adjustable. i had it so high because if you put it lower, when you really want to brake, your feet would be all stretched and you couldn't apply any more force.
    The sun indicator... maybe it was to show you that you had your lights on? (Cant remember).
    Loved the video Cager. Thank you

    Sym Wolf costs 3600 Euro in the Netherlands. The new model is liquid cooled, fuel injected and has disc brakes at the back as well.

      SYM remaining bad quality (shit), doesn't matter what they get extra. I bought two SYM bikes & both had lot's of trouble & to keep it running were a lot of money. Up to 25000km the cost for repairs was around $ 5000 that only repairs not services included. Stay away from them they will empty your wallet very soon.

    I own a Sym Wolf SB125N and to be honest it's the best looking 125 to date, Many people ask "what bike is that and what cc is it" When I tell them it's a 125cc they say "it looks like a 400cc" that makes me proud, When I bought the bike 6 months ago it wasn't looking it's best and top speed was a little poor, so I changed the exhaust for an aftermarket sports exhaust and changes the carburetor from a 125 to a 250, resprayed the engine black, as it should be, and added a tail tidy which give the bike a much better view all round, Top speed now is 86 MPH, I'm thinking about going lower teeth on the back sprocket from a 41 to a 39 which should, in theory, give me more top end, I'm hoping to his 90 MPH maybe a little more.

      possible oil starvation and seizing to top end as you put much larger carb on ? just a thought rossi

    SYM also offers the "Wolf Classic" in the US (and maybe world-wide) and it's a more "classic standard" style motorcycle. I've sat on that and it's rather small for my 6 foot height. I haven't seen this model before, so this was interesting!

    Seems like a decent bike for a beginner or a small framed person. I don't know if I could deal with the low hp, though. I have two bikes: a 2012 Yamaha YFZ-R1 and a 2013 Yamaha FJR1300.

  • @IDixxon

    Anyone know of any good budget 125cc's for a first time rider? Finding it hard to look for suitable bikes not over £1k.

  • @maiovisky112
    @maiovisky112 9 лет назад +1

    Had one for 2years and did about 12000km. Sold it, this spring.
    For begginers is a good bike. But with the stock tires with rain is kind of unstable. I had two crashes with it at low speed thanks to the tires...
    For highways is boring and a little uncomfortable because you have to be lean down to get to 120km/h. That was what happen to me..

    Cager, if you want to test ride another cheap 125 naked bike I recommend you the kymco quannon 125 naked. It's quite similar to this one but it has some good features that the sym doesn't have such as rear disk brake, side stand sensor etc etc etc...

    All standard corrosion free materials will also corrode near the sea ;)
    It's actually quite standard for contracters to use normal corrosion free materials for (for example) railings withouth realising it'll just corrode anyways haha

    I like the look of the SYM Wolf Classic. You should check out one of those as well when you get a chance! Old style like a Honda CB125. :) I have not yet seen this 'new' style of SYM.. thanks for filming once again!

  • @ComandanteJ
    @ComandanteJ 9 лет назад

    I'd take a Daelim Roadwin over this one. No fancy digital dash, but it has a 140 rear tyre, fuel injection, disc brake at the rear, a proper naked position, looks awesome, and costs about the same. It also has a more powerfull engine, at 13,5cv i think. An the R version adds digital dash, liquid cooling, and a 14.9cv engine. And it can do 2.8l/100, they say.

    • @Thomasvegeta
      @Thomasvegeta 9 лет назад +1

      It depends from the country, here in Belgium they sell the SYM with fuel injection and a rear disc brake, but the power is still the same, more power like 14-15hp would be better. I had this bike for about 1 year, I even made a 1200km trip on it, and had a consumption of max 2,5l/100. But the price was more expensive I think, it is 2999€ new but I bought it as second hand. The model name with fuel injection is 125 sbi :)

    • @ComandanteJ
      @ComandanteJ 9 лет назад

      Thomas vegeta Good to know, i dont think it sells here in Spain, anyway, it still is a little pricey, the Roadwin R is 3400 with one year insurance and normally you can get discounts. But expending that much money in a 125 is only reasonable if you plan to keep it for long, wich is not my case because i just want it to see if i like riding or not, if i like it, i'll be getting a proper license in less than a year hehe.

    • @Thomasvegeta
      @Thomasvegeta 9 лет назад

      You are right, and so did I, I was able to ride 125cc bikes due to my car licence so I bought one and I liked it, way too much :D and so I did my motorcycle licence and sold the 125 a few month after I got the licence. And still now I wouldn't pay too much for a motorcycle

    • @ComandanteJ
      @ComandanteJ 9 лет назад

      Thomas vegeta Hehe cool, bro, that's the route i'm probably following. I think i'll buy a second hand GS500 when i get the A2 license.

      Thomas vegeta Hey man, I'm also in Belgium, and I'm on the verge of buying this, as some moron ran into my other bike and totaled it. Can you tell me about its reliability or if there's anything not so good on it?
