The gentleman who owned the Co. & did the video was very helpful - spent time w me on the phone answering all my questions to pick the right net. He will get my business from now on. Who is that masked man? 😄 I've worn out my 67 year old shoulder learning how to throw my 8' cast net but this video was the most helpful. Simplest, most effective technique. Took me a while to figure out to flip my right wrist to get the farthest part of the lead line to extend.

Always had to go back to my 6’ that I was comfortable with. After this video and about 30 minutes of practice i can finally throw the big one consistently. Thanks!

Tried this out and I must say it works...but the one thing which is very important is to tap out the lead weights before throwing to ensure they are not tangled...I kept getting it wrong even though I was following everything until I did this...I actually now separate the entire bottom of the net at my feet prior to throwing...even though he does that in the video it's a small step and not many will realise or notice it
You’re only the second person I’ve seen use this method, I’ve been using it for a few years now and it’s definitely the easiest. What’s the size on this net, and what’s the biggest net you’ve thrown with this method? Thanks
@@FT86TT that’s what I thought 10ft. Great method once you get it down pact, and quick reloading. I usually run up and down the beach shores with a six footer and even that gets heavy after a while so I can only imagine a 12 footer after a few tosses. Thanks again
I try to cast at the skyway pier fla. and the water is 25’ down from the top of the pier, a lot of times because of the wind it bananas out I’m hoping that this demonstration cures my problem, it seems like the easiest way to throw a cast net , thanks for posting this is a great video 👍🏼.

This one was a 10 ft cast net. I've successfully threw up to 12 ft but you'll get tired really quick
