More people need to go thrifting when they get to the island! So many people go to places like ABC Store and get generic pieces they end up getting rid of before they leave. If more tourists went to the thrift store, it could help save some trash from the lil island landfills! Love you Jenna!

adding to the four other comments i found about not Doing Tourism in Hawai'i
for the benefit of the doubt: at least do a follow up about what you've learned since getting these comments and reading up on why tourism is the last thing Hawai'i needs right now. i saw many more comments from people saying they want to visit there to thrift now, so there is a responsibility as someone with a following to undo that influence.

When I was 23 I got buried. My husband was stationed on Kaneohe Marine Corps base💝 I worked at that store for 2 years back in 95.😊😊😅😅😅 I got two of the local friends of mine that we used to work in the back together, hanging the clothes and running them to the floor..
I ended Up, hooking up KIMO & KAUI ❤❤❤❤ They married shortly after I moved and they didn't want me to leave.😊❤
My husband got out of the Marine Corps and we went back to Massachusetts and I regret it everyday.❤❤ Enjoy every second of it. If you're not from there, you're gonna miss it for the rest of your life. Remember everything!!!!

I just spent three week in Madrid, Spain and also went to Dublin, Ireland while I was there (cuz plane tickets expensive), and since my passion is thrifting I arrived with a half empty suitcase and it was nearly bursting when I left. I found a two floor length silk skirts for $2 each, one is a deep burgundy red with a velvet waistband, the other is a silk chiffon green to blue ombré with tendrils of silk draped down the sides and back, it gives mermaid vibes HARD and I love both of them. Thrifting makes me so happy.

seeing the hawaii clips made me miss when I went to Todos Santos (Mexico) for thanksgiving last year. Seaside travel is one of the best experiences a person could have (in my humble opinion).

We have Savers here in Melbourne Australia, and it’s considered good but expensive. They’re a huge franchise type deal, and their selections are good, great range, just pricey for an op shop (thrift store).
I love op shopping (thrifting) when I’m travelling. It’s cheaper than other shopping but you can find such gems.
When I was a kid we didn't have a Savers in my state yet so whenever my mum went to Melbourne she'd go to Savers and bring me back cool new clothes... That's how I got into wearing cargo pants, which I'd sometimes pair with a miniskirt 😂 Y2K fashion is back in now right?? When will I see someone in a skirt AND pants?

I live in Hawaii and the thrift stores are the best places fir visitors to find Hawaiian clothing items to use while they are here. There are also consignments shops where you can score some great deals on Hawaiian wear.

When I was a kid, nearly all my wardrobe was thrifted. The rest was sewn by my Mother.
I remember how when we'd pull up to a thrift store, my sister and I would hide just in case
someone we knew was passing by and then RUN into the store.
Now...thrifting is the in thing to do and judging from the price tags I'm seeing, it is no longer
for the poor.
It amazes me how good your thrift shops are for clothes. Ours are full of old worn out stuff that you wouldn't think of wearing 😢
Now I want to go to Hawaii and thrift there. It looks so awesome and you found great stuff.

You are so fair, before you go to another tropical location get a diveskin. It will save you the burn and is helpful with jellyfish, too.
That’s so funny, my husband and I just went to Oahu as well. But a week after we came back, we saw on the news that a surfer got bitten by a shark exactly where we went snorkeling so……anyways if anybody planning on going to Oahu, I strongly recommend making a visit to Iolani Palace & learn about Hawaiian history.

I used to thrift the BEST CLOTHES EVER when I lived on Maui in 2012!! My girlfriend and I were thrifting one day, and the zipper broke on the dress she was trying on, and she couldn't get it off!!! 😆 . . . good times . . . We would go thrifting, buy new dresses, wear them out of the store and go to a party or the beach! It was the best life ever!! ❤
