@@n1hondude , also because of the fact that if Señor Pink was actually truthful about being a Pirate then his wife and child would have never died because unlike Señor Pink Luffy is always completely truthful and never lied once in the series at all.
I just gotta say, whoever had the idea to implement the little character-doodles-on-a-stick deserves a raise! It’s a cute little way to embellish your videos while also enabling you to cut down on anime screenshot/footage usage to avoid the evil, evil Toei demons.
I really liked Tsuru and Kin’emon’s relationship as well. It was something small at the start but it was hinted that it was going on in the background of his life constantly until we catch up with them in Wano.
To be honest, after Naruto I sincerely prefer Oda hint us about the shippings rather than let everyone married and have kids. I hope everyone in straw-hat crew stay forever young and carefree.
I think it was fine with Naruto since it was an nearing the end of the series and that's typically when shonens allows romances marriages to show up. Even then it was a background thing or the potential partner of the character dies. I don't like when they have it go on after that because it brings up obligations the characters have that the artists isn't prepared to tackle. Naruto and Dragon Ball are two examples of this. (Although with Dragon Ball the artist kind of worked it into his MC's character)
@@blackmark2899 I partly agree with you. Using a marriage as the end of a young man's story is not something new. It can be a good summary of the main character's teenage life, and give readers a feeling of closure. An example of good marriage endings is the ending of Full-metal alchemist. It definitely give fans satisfaction. But I don't think it was fine with Naruto. Naruto is a story that controvert itself and a group of last minute arranged marriages makes the contradiction more obvious. In the first chapter, Naruto asked a question, it let us think if there is any ways for an underdog be loved and respected by anybody. And in the end, the answer is that the only way an underdog can be loved and respected by anybody is not be an underdog, there's no such a thing as unconditional love. You need to be great or have the genetic potential to be great for people to give you attention. This is not only a big lie but also unhealthy. And with the marriage ending, readers don't even have the slightest room to imagine that the characters can improve afterwards, putting the characters in an awkward position that no one can save.
@@shuhanxu5440 it was Naruto's journey from being this outcast of the village to become Hokage. His journey to basically bond with that village's generation. The marriages at the endwas just something that you pretty much expect in Shonen. It's one of those capstone things that you see at the end which is why I don't have an issue with it. I can count on one hand how many times I haven't seen romance and/ or marriage at the end of a Shonen.
@@blackmark2899 Things that are traditional are not always equal to things that are right. Naruto's story logic is not about an outcast become Hokage. In the first chapter, Naruto said he wants to become Hokage because Hokage is the strongest shinobu and someone that everybody loves and respects. Become a Hokage is Naruto's way to achieve his emotional need not his final goal. If everything he wanted was bond with village's generation and became a Hokage only, why he bothered to find Sasuke at the first place when the village no longer accept Sasuke as its member? The only explanation is that despite their apparent disdain for each other, Sasuke felt Naruto's pain when Naruto was nobody. He noticed Naruto's changes and offered the first respect and friendship that Naruto well earned.
You know, I heard people complaining that the Netflix adaptation of One Piece is going to bow to modern social trends and reinterpret Sanji as a simp. But all I could think is just, "That sounds like a fairly accurate portrayal of his character."
If the series stays around long enough they will definitely take out some specific scenes or rework them for sanji. Like him wanting to spy on woman in the bath will probably be axed.
Oda is low-key genius for how he's written the main crew into the non-relationship corner because it basically opens them all up for any contender which is how the fandom goes wild over shipping. You like Franky/Robin? Just as likely as Sanji/Robin or Robin/Nami. He basically just went "Hey, go wild with it. I ain't gonna stop you. Here, have some hintage towards maybe possible flirtation and bonding for your faves. Enjoy!" then runs off cackling into the night. Madman.
@@dravenocklost4253 I can't really get behind Robin/Franky myself after time skip due to how she expresses her lack of appreciation for his even-more robot form. Maybe something starting to stir before time skip, but not after. Not gonna hate on those who do like to ship it, though.
@@KINKYKOOM imo i think robin and chopper is kinda weird cause chopper is kinda portrayed as like a kid and in the show robin is basically a mother to chopper so in my eyes its a bit 🗿
Wouldn't put it past Hancock to either find something to feed him to make him less conscious/ more horny or just to just straight up force herself on him. She is queen of the "amazons" after all.
I literally cried watching Senor Pinks relationship story. I think your vastly underestimating the amount of viewers who love the romance in this series.
Well done on committing the sensual act of subscribing to the Grand Line Review which resulted in consistent injections of One Piece Culture being administered directly into your youtube feed.
"why is there no romance in one piece" at least some author understod that was not the point of a manga about pirates, fighting, seeking treasure, helping people, having insane powers, friendship THANK YOU ODA FOR BEING SMARTER THAN JUST THROWING A LOVE STORY WITHOUT ANY REASON OTHER THAN BEING A DAMN ROUNDABOUT.
I dunno if I'd call it short, since the end of the Alabasta arc was what? 20 years ago? But yeah I was glad to get a reminder because even though she is too busy to travel with the crew, as she has a country to run, she will ALWAYS be a member of the crew. I truly hope she joins them as a true pirate one day.
indeed, Vivi is and always will be a Straw Hat, she just had to put her people before herself. that being said i want Karoo to find the best lady duck in the whole of Alabasta, he is Vivi's feathery white knight.
I like the idea that Luffy is aro/ace and just doesn't want/isn't interested in romance. He formed plenty of meaningful relationships throughout the series without the need for romance.
Luffy is not assexual. Oda already stated at SBS54 that Luffy was interested (when seeing Hancock naked), he just doesn't care because his focus right now is adventure (and Oda don't wanna put romance in the middle of his story).
@darthcirilo I'm pretty sure Oda mentioned he was not interested. Might be a translation issue. Anyway, the fact he had shown no interest in her within the story even though almost everyone seeing Hancock is attracted to her shows an apparent lack of attraction from Luffy. He's def ace coded.
@@rickyriddle7336 He actually said "He's interested, but he's not entranced by her". For me it's more like Oda not wanting to develop romance and saying that Luffy is adventuresexual. Luffy feels atraction to girls but he focus primarily on being the Pirate King. What will happen after his adventure is over tho? Will he start developing feelings for some girl or anything like that? While I think it's hard for this to happen, who knows? Even Roger had a son and he was just like Luffy.
I think the best couple in one piece is actually Scarlett and Kyros! They‘re story was so cute and sad (and was even shown). I think it contributed to the story and also broke my heart. The Dynamic of this pair was just so nice to see and also how they both cared so much for they‘re daughter. Ugh, my poor heart :(
I used to think that Luffy would follow Roger's journey more closely, but now I don't think Luffy would have a son like Roger. roger wanted to have a child knowing he wouldn't be able to bring the new dawn. if Luffy does bring the new dawn, that motivation won't exist.
Don't know about Nico Robin, but I really don't think Nami will be paired up with anyone. Nami is pretty much Oda's wife, so unless he writes himself in the story, I think she will either stay solo or have some background marriage which will serve to reflect his own.
Hina calls Garp also Garp-kun tho... D: Odacchi!! In Ch. 907, Hina calls Vice Admiral Garp, “Garp-kun” but isn’t she only a Rear Admiral!? How can she call use “-kun” for someone not only so much her senior but also a higher rank?? P.N. Best Horse O: She did say that didn’t she. It’s not like Hina uses “-kun” for all the important people she knows. It’s because Garp himself is constantly interacting with people who care a lot about rank. When he sees the cheeky attitude of Hina, he feels like they are kindred spirits in that way.
I think this is all part of Hina’s cutesy childish character type. She always refers to herself in the third person so I think that also carries over to how she addresses others. At least those the play along with her way of speaking.
@@C0ldIron It's probably also that Garp is sorta the drunk uncle of the Marines, everyone's really chill with him and respect the hell out of him, and he's one of the chief instructors who's student count is most likely in the 100s at this point. Hina most likely trained under him for a bit, and starting using -kun after "graduation".
Funnily enough, the way pirates historically acted if two opposite genders happened to be on the same ship is almost the complete opposite of one piece
I remember Final Fantasy 5 had a lady pirate pretending to be a man for that very reason. She was like "do you want to be the only girl on a ship full of dudes?" :D
oda said it himself. the passion part is for the adults to imagine... i think franky is getting his balls handled on a regular basis by robin. and maybe just maybe, robin is using her fruit on every straw hat ;)
Them societal heteronormative ideals are so powerful. Keeping all those men keep their junk under control just by making sure there's no women. How did we ever do that even?
I like how Oda handles romance, for me personally most romance anime/movies etc are just boring and uninteresting. Oda has a lot of cliches in his romance stories but there’s also a lot of interesting and unique elements to them as well which I greatly enjoy and find refreshing
As of right now here is what I gather could be feasible pairings by the end of One Piece: Luffy: Hancock. Given Oda's respect for Akira Toriyama, I could see him putting these two together in homage to Goku and Chi-Chi. But I could also see Luffy pairing off with an unnamed stranger or another princess closer to his age. Zoro: Honestly, I think Hiyori is the one that looks to be the most realistic. Or maybe he's just roaming around alone in the future. Nami: She's either going to be single by the end of it. Or with someone currently unseen. She's got her whole independent woman vibe going for her. Sanji: Even though I prefer Sanji with Viola more, I think Pudding is the natural route to go with regards to writing. Not to mention, we're going to see more Pudding in the Final Saga. Usopp: He has to be with Kaya. Otherwise I will revolt. Robin: Franky. Honestly the only inter-Straw Hat relationship that seems feasible. They've got lots of scenes together and great chemistry. They could end up living together in a laid-back manner like Rayleigh and Shaki. Brook: No one, he seems like he's going to spend his days with Laboon. Jinbe: Also don't see Jinbe settling down, but if he does, I see him with an unknown fishwoman.
But Akira Toriyama didn't even intend for Goku and Chi-chi to end up together. The studio forced his hand. Chi-Chi was supousted to stay with Yamcha and Goku with Bulma but the editors insisted that Bulma wasn't a good enough female role model (she smoked/argued and used her charms too much).
I just think it would be weird for luffy to end up with anyone. he’s stated multiple times that he doesn’t want to get married or anything, he just wants to be free and marriage seems like a commitment he wouldn’t like. plus, after becoming king of the pirates, I assume luffy will have a similar fate as roger. another thing I’d like to bring up is how his brother, ace, had so much trauma just from being roger’s son and luffy wouldn’t want his kid to go through so much.
Sometimes, I think about what I would ask of Oda for a SBS. One of the questions I came up that’s related to this topic is “Could you draw the potential partners for each of the Straw Hats Pirates? But don’t pick characters we’ve already seen in the story. I would like to see brand new characters that each Straw Hat would be happily married to.” Then I would ask a guy to help pick out the grammar mistakes before I post it to Oda. Side note: This is only my 2nd most desired question that I want to ask Oda. My first is “After One Piece have finally finished and Shonen Jump want to make a spin-off, would you like it to be a sequel or a prequel? A lot of people that I hear from want to read a prequel where they want to see characters like Rodger, Garp, or Dragon be the central protagonist. But for me personally, I would rather see a sequel and see what new adventures that the world that you had made still has to offer.”
i would think there would be no sequel since all of the world's problems would be resolved after the story ends since the story seems like it has its ending set in stone, with luffy being the chosen one and the wg being the antagonist for the entire story.(my guess)
By guess Luffy is going to marry a female chef, Sanji a beautiful lady, Ussop either a school teacher, artist or someone who is on story telling like a writer or someone who draws, Nami a kind rich man, Robin someone who loves history but easily teasable, franky someone who loves what he likes, jimbe someone mature and wise, zoro loves fighting and booze
@@zeo4125 , I’d more likely get invested in the Prequel journeys of Eustass Kid than having a sequel journey of the next generation of Strawhat Pirates because if One Piece does have a sequel I’d much rather it just being a story of the Strawhat families doing mundane things together and not go on another 2Piece Adventure unless that 2Piece has the next generation of Pirates being introduced as Yonko+ levels and wearing two pieces of bikini armor.
I really did like the Sanji/Pudding relationship. The big stuff like their parting kiss and Pudding removing the memories were obviously really good, but the smaller subtle stuff was my favorite. Things like the single panel of Pudding being left speechless when Sanji catches Nami and they're both smiling speaks volumes for what's going on inside her mind during that moment. Even just Sanji's natural perverted nature dying down around Pudding as he becomes more normalized and comfortable around her despite everything that happens and who he is as a character is a really nice touch. I'm really hoping we see them interact again in the future.
@@Mesanov1c.m so your telling me not onlu did her mom make her do a arnged wedding but also she was underaged ? ( i mean gigga granny could do anything like she is big mom)
This might just be me but I think Jinbe might have some of a connection with Kokoro. This is primarily because when Oda was answering all the previous straw hat questions for him the answer to “what would he be in he wasn’t a pirate?” Was train conductor. It’s a bit of a stretch but it feels like something that would be at least worth considering.
Oda said no romance between the Straw Hats on the live action show. This doesn't seem to include people outside the Straw Hats, however, as a relationship was confirmed between Usopp and that one girl. So I imagine the Netflix show will more solidly confirm relationships between characters outside of the Straw Hats.
If Boa Hancock really did ask to be his queen, I think Luffy would say sure, assuming it meant more Nakama, and the other strawhats would be utterly blind sided by his reply. A'ight noted, I'm sorry but I see Luffy and I naturally assume we're working with Goku levels of himbo.
Luffy is not that dumb, he has "Friend Zoned" Boa twice and even told her he is not going to marry her and she took it as him "playing hard to get" You know, like people forget Luffy said "No" to Yamato when she asked to join his crew and when she begged he said "I said no, go to sea by yourself" which led to the chains conversation
It is kind of amazing that the most in-depth developing romance in the story involves Sanji as the one doing the friendzoning... He'll never catch a break lol
To me the Smoker and Hina thing was obvious and I already shipped them years ago because I knew that they knew each other from way before meeting after the Alabasta war and also both of them smoke also when I was on the One Piece Wiki I found out they were the same age as each other which made me ship them even more
Luffy doesn't out right reject Boa, he just doesn't get love. Kinda like Goku with Chi-chi. He doesn't quite get what love is but he wants to protect Chi-chi if need be, she is still a capable fighter, and he knows that he cares about her, even if he doesn't show it let's be honest 96% of the time
I did not expect Bon Clay to show up at the end!! I'm legit dying of laughter with this Luffy and Hancock story!! Also, am I the only one talking about how Bon-chan was the character in the story who wasn't poorly drawn? The poorly-drawn aspect with the video editing is pure comedy gold! I seriously love the creativity of these people. 🤣
@@yahyayahyah7 she literally grabbed the dude’s tangerines 🍊🍊 and called them treasure. You don’t just “accidentally” write that and not have something planned down the line. It may not be as gooey as something sanji would have, but I don’t expect anything less than Rayleigh and Shakky’s relationship for Robin and Franky.
I honestly hope Zoro doesn't end up with anyone. Whereas Luffy kinda feels like he just doesn't know what sex or relationships are, Zoro has the vibe of being fully aware of what it is, but being more interested in booze, swords, and sleeping. Basically he's an ace icon rn in a way that luffy just isn't, and I feel like a more compelling end of story wrap up would be him training an upcoming rival, rather than settling down.
Usopp and Kaya's coupling is a no-brainer, it's sweet and well established from the get go. Sanji and Pudding also makes sense for how their relationship was well set up and did build into this dramatic arc over the course of Whole Cake Island. As for Zoro and Tashigi or Hiyori... case for either of those is shockingly flimsy by comparison. Zoro and Tashigi's dynamic basically amounts to one not even seeing the other as her own person due to how closely she resembles his dead friend and the other mistaking everything the first does as gender based discrimination; I don't see any romantic intrique in it beyond that trite Hollywood trope, where a friction between man and woman has to automatically equate to romantic intrique. Zoro and Hiyori's romantic intrique on the other hand amounts to whatever the storytelling equivalent to a small kid smashing a barbie doll and action figure together would be and personally I really really hope it doesn't go anywhere just for how annoyingly in your face and fanservicy it has been so far. Vivi and Kohza as a pairing also seems very much in that camp of low hanging fruits, where I would not see us contemplating them as a couple, if they didn't happen to be of the opposite sexes.
I agree with your take on Zoro and Tashigi for sure, that's pretty much what it boils down to which you could say is used for humor cause I laugh when she starts nagging his ass and he's just so annoyed haha. At the same time though, Oda's ability to write romance has leveled up, he could use what is there between them which I believe is tension. There's a lot tension between the two with one being a marine searching for famous blades to keep from the hands of criminals, who seeks Zoro's blades and Zoro who's both honorable and admirable in his pursuit of strength; very much different from your average evil pirate. The Monet encounter showed Tashigi Zoro wasn't all about gender, like at all. Give or take 5-10 chapters no necessarily back to back and bada bing bada boom, Oda's fleshed out their story to have romatic implications. Again, so far they have nothing but that tension.
Good points, but I think theres more to Zorro and Tashigi. Both value swords, but in very different ways. They also challenge their own viewpoints, which means they can help each other grow. Once and the Marines and Pirate system falls, its easy to see how they will come to realize that they are not very different and that in fact can help each other grow...
Yeah, I see Tashigi or Perona being his end match. Perona and him spent the time skip together, and obviously grew at least somewhat closer. Tashigi is pretty obvious reasoning wise, though
Franky and Robin is a inevitability. Just look at the way she admires his cool transformations. She’s is clearly enamored with his horticultural skills just look at the way she grabbed his tangerines when there was no guarantee he would be joining their crew. She even paid him a great compliment calling them treasure. Clearly she sees beneath the machine she finds the man…and beneath the man she finds his….nucleus.
@@randallrobertson6042 I expect their relationship to be like Rayleigh and Shakky's if there is going to be any “romance” between them. Basically each of them off doing their own thing for the most part but still meeting up on occasion and still “married” if you catch my drift. But ya know, oda has changed his mind on a lot of things over the years. Edit: for the record my original comment was mostly just a half jest half hope kinda deal. I mean, you don’t just write a woman grabbing a dude’s tangerines 🍊 🍊 And not do anything with it. Ya know what I mean?
Pov: katakuri and pudding talking Katakuri: If Mama dies in Wano I'll become the captain and I'll make an alliance with the strawhats Pudding: "shocked" and becomes happy...
I feel like Sanji will end up like Rayleigh. Remember Sanji's conversation with Black Maria? He didn't want to be her captive because shes a sadistic torturer, he was opposed to the idea of settling down. "I want to love all the ladies!"- Sanji
My biggest head canon pairing is Franky and Robin. They just seem to be the two in the crew on the most equal footing strength and mentality-wise as well as emotional maturity. If any Straw Hats end up together, I hope it's them.
Considering I don't think any of them really want kids, I kinda ship Robin and Jinbei, they just seem the most alike, and are the most mature out of the crew, aside from zoro in specific situations
I feel like Boa will not give up on trying to make Luffy be her lover, She will probably keep trying no matter what since she really loves him, so much that she can't go maybe 5 seconds in the same room as him without getting the heart eyes 😅
@@mathewwatson-FireGem21 as someone that likes the pairing (a little too much), I've just made peace that it probably won't happen. Best case she forms an alliance with him, he agrees, and she treats it like they're married; much to the confusion of the crew.
Hey Liam, you should make a video on the potential interaction between the straw hats and Shanks crew. Like explore the potential possibilities like shanks teaching zoro haki control and swordsmanship. Luffy having a eat off, etc.
quite honestly i doubt that shanks will actually teach zoro or anyone on the crew fighting techniques. by the time they meet i dont think they'll need more teachings and i also doubt zoro would take another Master besides mihawk
I'm surprised you listed Franky as one of the SHs who aren't likely to settle down with someone. If there's any hinting within the crew, it's for him and Robin.
@@birb276 Well Oda didn't say that but it kind of implies that they have no feelings for each other. Knowing Nami she'll probably end up with a rich guy
It is clear to me that Robin and Franky are in love. And their love will spread and bring peace to the world. Even Akainus heard will melt as he sees these two perfect lovers and he will resign to a life of retirement and hapiness.
I mean she already grabbed his balls and let him rest his head on her knees. Might as well go all the way after that. lol Too bad she isn't fond of his body modifications or him making face in Chopper's body.
I recently read a good comment about Sanji that I think is a good point: early, early Sanji wasn't such a creep, he was always a flirt and someone who adored women but was never gross about it. Idk why Oda changed that aspect of him for comedy, cuz I'm not laughing ☠️
Story wise I guess sitting in an island with no women for 2 years could have changed him. But probably he god feedback from his editor that people liked when Sanji was more creepy
I think it’s a very meta reason. It’s a part of comedy called heightening. Which is that the more you interact with a person the more their character quirks extreme, to maintain humour.
I personally think Franky and Robin would make a good couple at the end of One Piece. They’re both around the older and more mature age, even if Franky could be a bit out there and goofy, but I think that pairs really well with Robin’s more serious nature.
if luffy get's married its 100% gonna be like chi-chi and goku's marriage. they're somehow gonna have kids after a timeskip and everyone's gonna wonder how he actually had sex.
hmmm honestly I feel like Luffy and Boa would eventually get together... granted it would likely work as a long distance relationship... with feasts happening any time Luffy returned to Amazon Lily, Boa would be able to easily provide sufficient levels of food for Luffy.. which would be a major factor... not to mention she would be ok with Luffy going out on adventures knowing how oblivious he to the advances of woman... so all around... Boa would Ironically be the most Ideal option for Luffy as he'd retain the freedom he always desires

I almost thought Sanji was gonna change a bit after his arc with Pudding in WCI, but at Wano he's right back to sneaking into bathhouses and brothels lmao. Never change Sanji, never change
I have a feeling that she may have to take things into her own hands when he is busy sleeping off a large portion of meat or something. But I don't expect Luffy to pick up any romantic entanglements until after he's finished his journey. And unfortunately I don't know if he's going to survive. If he does complete his dream, he may possibly have used his entire life. Just getting to that point due to over exertion
I really liked that last date idea that I won’t mention to not spoil the video. But I do think that if Oda ever wants to have anyone propose to Luffy (or god forbids Luffy propose to someone) playing that straight is a sweet way of going about it.
3:15 ~ Passing by just to point out that ... the whole "Sanji is never corresponded" is actually wrong. Aside from Viola and Pudding, Sanji normally hit it off with background female characters. Back in Fishmen Island, the Mermaids actually liked him (it was his body that didn't hold up), and even more back, after the party in Nami's village, Sanji was seen sleeping with multiple women.
While I am not a huge fan of Shipping I can't help but think on Luffy and Nami. I honestly don't think any romance will happen between the two nor should they but for some reason I can't help but like the idea. Because rather then an awkward date or some romance, I personally see Luffy just following Nami's fancies until he hears something interesting and just kidnap her without thinking, which results Nami giving the classic 'fist of love'. I think if I had to state why I like this idea then I would have to reefer to a fan art that I love, its on deviant art though I have seen it on other sites and I don't know the creator, 'Luffy x Nami by welescarlett' there's nothing romantic or special just the two of them standing side by side with Luffy placing his hat on her. Sure they are dressed up fancy looking, well Nami is at least, and Luffy just have a coat over his shirt, which actually reminds me of his raid design. Am I alone on this take, can't tell.
dw dude i feel the exact same, sadly i dont think one piece is a manga made with romance in mind, like yeah sure theres this and that characters that feel something, but Luffy is only interested in his goal and protecting his friends, mb after he becomes King of the Pirates he might marry her or smh? Idk, wishful thinking at this point
also another thing, funny enough, Oda meet his wife at a convention or smh and she was dressed like Nami and he named his Daughter Nami, meaning there might be chances for our desired relationship to actually come true !
Shipping Luffy and Nami is kinda like shipping two straight male characters. Luffy and Nami's relationship is pretty cute. They've shared a lot of time together, and had a lot of interaction, her words literaly gave him a rage boost in Water 7, and I don't even need to explain what he did for her in Arlong Park for her or the hug that she gives her in their reunion. Hell, she's been drawn with and weared the strawhat a lot of times, the same that is said to be Luffy's treasure. They have a pretty cute relationship indeed however, as the story progresses more and more, it becomes really obvious that is not a romantic relationship, it becomes obvoius that they're more like siblings. Part of the reason why many people (including me) see Luffy and Hancock being a thing is because she's madly in love with him and would do anything to make him her "Emperor", thing that is crucial since Luffy is... Well... Kinda asexual. The problem comes from both sides, Luffy is not really that interested in love or 'seggs', he doesn't even understand what those things are probaby, so the only way of this is happening is if Nami does something, however, Nami hasn't shown any attraction for Luffy and you could argue that something will happen that will make Nami how much she loves his captain, but, if you think about it... Luffy has done a lot for Nami, he litteraly saved her along her whole village and took revenge on the guy who killed her mother, not only that, but he actively helped her achieve her dream by taking her in his crew, if after all of that, she hasn't fallen in love with Luffy, is clear she sees him as a brother and nothing more. Nami wants to make Luffy his king, but she isn't really interested on being the queen. while i like Luffy and Hancock, and i think it will be canon, i would be lying if i said i wouldn't like Nami and Luffy being a thing, they're a just to cute together.
@@crackaddict1692 personally for me the age gap between Luffy and Hancock kinda ruins it for me. Idk why but I’ve always been weirded out by couples with big age gaps that go over 5 years. Yeah I know I’m weird. Luffy and Nami are a lot closer in age and have a lot more chemistry. I know that its never happen. I’m not expecting it too. But to me it’s so cute and I love it. Of course this is just my dumb opinion.
I mean the highest likelihood for jinbei is robin. There's been multiple friendly chats between em and robin straight up calling him handsome. Also when talking about family dynamics robin being called the mom and jinbei the dad of the crew. And honestly who wouldn't wanna date jinbei if they like men
I feel like if Luffy said "Let's go on a date" to Sanji, Usopp and Zoro. While Zoro might be an idiot, Usopp would be confused since he knows what a date is and Sanji would try to kill luffy.
I am confident that Luffy and Hancock will marry, the same way Goku promised to marry Chichi without realising what marriage is and just keeps his word.
Guys I meant a way similar to Goku and I quoted how Goku got married Basically Goku married Chichi as a means to keep a promise... I don't mean that Luffy doesn't know and will do the same but we will get a moment where a man displays honour
Tragic that you missed the most important cannon relationship: Robin X Franky. Oda literally describes them as the Mom and Dad of the Straw Hat Crew. They constantly hang out and match outfits on cover art (and in the manga/show). Remember how Franky joined the crew? Yeah. Robin and Franky are in love and perfect for each other. Tell me I'm wrong.
@@MrGrabmegotcha "First Son of the Sea" Helmsman of the Crew -> If it comes to Maneuvering Helmsman could and would overrule the Captain's Orders to ensure the safety of the Ship. That's a lot of Authority in my book. Both as a person and a position.
We’ve played this song and dance in other series for decades. Be ready for the inevitable disappointment when people’s favorite ships, crack or otherwise, are systematically sunk all at once.
I would say Boa achieved her goal by using food. Because more than once she was able to get closer too Luffy by feeding him. Also Luffy Owns Boa a debt after breaking into Impel Down. And the driving force of bringing those two together is Ace.
For me personally I ship Nami and Luffy. They would make such a cute couple. They had so many wholesome moments. Like for example when Luffy gave Nami his hat and left to help her save her island from Arlong or when Nami ran up and hugged him tightly when they reunited at the mink’s island (forgot what it was called). The thing that mainly stops me from shipping Boa and Luffy is ten age gap. She was 28 when we first meet her while Luffy was 17. It’s a 12 year age gap. That’s the age gap between me and my brother. Idk why it just weirds me out. Although I do enjoy their interactions. I just gravitate towards Luffy x Nami more. I know I’m probably the only one with this opinion but I don’t care.
Luffy x Nami is poetic and I love it so much. I feel it touches the depth of both characters and I hope it will be the canon ending.❤️🧡 As for Boa she clearly asked Luffy multiple times to marry her and he said No. I don't like a forced ship. If Luffy said No it is a No, he is not going to change his mind, he is Luffy. Just because someone has a crush on a person doesn't entitle the other to say yes. A lot of fans think that Luffy doesn't know what Love or marriage is but he does know. In WCI he understood Sanji's situation perfectly. I have more reason not to ship it other than the age difference but I'll stop at this.
@@Frosty_McFrost05 Haha you can't find a lot of people supporting this ship online but it has a huge fanbase! There might not be many of us on the internet but we do exist! 😄
I'm sure in the end, charachter like Robin didn't have a partner, instead Oda will show her peacefully lived in the house somewhere in the unknown island while read a book maybe with Chopper as a housemate or Oda will shows her became the woman who rebuild Library of Ohara again.
I can't see Robin alone. She doesn't have to have a partner, but Robin has to end up with a family. She spent most of her life alone, for her to split off from Luffy's crew and be alone again would break my heart.

As of right now here is what I gather could be feasible pairings by the end of One Piece:
Luffy: Hancock.

Ironically, it's kinda hard for a skeleton to bone someone.
But for me personally, I would rather see a sequel and see what new adventures that the world that you had made still has to offer.”
me too i would like to see the sequel
Rodger
i would think there would be no sequel since all of the world's problems would be resolved after the story ends since the story seems like it has its ending set in stone, with luffy being the chosen one and the wg being the antagonist for the entire story.(my guess)

The big stuff like their parting kiss and Pudding removing the memories were obviously really good, but the smaller subtle stuff was my favorite.

I recently read a good comment about Sanji that I think is a good point: early, early Sanji wasn't such a creep, he was always a flirt and someone who adored women but was never gross about it. Idk why Oda changed that aspect of him for comedy, cuz I'm not laughing ☠️
People do laugh
Story wise I guess sitting in an island with no women for 2 years could have changed him. But probably he god feedback from his editor that people liked when Sanji was more creepy

I think it’s a very meta reason. It’s a part of comedy called heightening. Which is that the more you interact with a person the more their character quirks extreme, to maintain humour.
I agree. It's too much for me but Sanji is Sanji.
Sanji indeed is known for testing the best smells💀

Boa would Ironically be the most Ideal option for Luffy as he'd retain the freedom he always desires

I mean, he is French
I feel it touches the depth of both characters and I hope it will be the canon ending.❤️🧡
As for Boa she clearly asked Luffy multiple times to marry her and he said No.
