Dee the reason troyce said a relationship or depression is because that’s what always affects her. This is real. Tiktok is a huge example of pretty privilege. Attractive and fit people go on Tiktok live with no talent and zero personality. They just sit there or do that stupid NPC thing wearing close to nothing or in the case of dudes, wearing those skin-tight Spiderman suits as a thirst trap and they get tons of gifts and cash app donations for doing nothing. But you see average or unattractive people who have actual talents or asking for help because of a health issue or natural disaster, they barely get recognition. But on the other side, I kinda feel bad for some of those people who have to do thirst traps and be naked online to get attention and praise because some of them probably feel like that's the only way they can get positive attention and they feel that they don't have anything else to offer other than their body and good looks, so like Dee said, everybody has some type of issues they are dealing with or insecurities.
You don’t have to be pretty to go viral or blow up on tik tok! The only people that really benefited from pretty privilege was Charli Damelio and all the kids from the Hype House but that’s only a small community on tik tok.🤷🏽♀️
My dad told me long ago looks fade but dumb is forever. That’s why it’s important to be smart and focus on having a beautiful soul/ personality because that makes up for half of your beauty.

I remember Cameron Herrin who was speeding over 100 MPH. He killed a mother and daughter and was sentenced to 24 years in prison. All the female Tiktok simps wanted him freed and forgiven because "he was too cute". 😐
That made me so mad. These people are utterly delusional and lack any sense of morals. As someone from Gen z, it's always ironic how my generation prides themselves on "not caring about looks" yet some of them want a guy who killed an innocent woman and her child to be free JUST because of looks 🥴
Yeah sad how TikTok females simp over crazy people til these days like the 80’s/90’s. I was disappointed seeing those cry for the Netflix Documentary of Jeffrey Damner
I agree 1000% with everything you said in this video. I've been called ugly my whole life by women. It's WAY harder for people who are "ugly" or "busted" trust me I know.
The biggest negative about pretty privilege is a lot of attractive people go on with life without developing an attractive personality. They are surrounded by yes men/women. I am a guy that would consider myself a 7 or high 6 now, but lived most of my life thinking I was less than a 5, so i developed a more approachable personality. It's not until I started dating in my early 20's that women started saying that I am a good looking guy. btw, in my country, we usually go to all boys or all girls high schools, so there wasn't much dating during high school. I got compliments from other guys about how attractive I was, and that always felt weird to me, so I thought they were making fun of me. But if I let that ego get to me, I would be a super boring/socially inept guy.
I honestly see both sides. This is my opinion, sorry if it is too long... You get more opportunities as a "pretty" person. For example, I would do my makeup and wear something (that was work-appropriate) when I was a barista at Starbucks because I noticed I would get way more tips, and overall, the customers would give less attitude. (it was still there, but people would be nicer than when I had 5am shifts and was too tired to care much about how I looked). But I also see many pretty people get friends who would want to give subtle attitudes to them or make subtle remarks to hurt them to make themselves feel better. I had a friend who would constantly make rude remarks (but it wasn't so obvious), and when confronted, they told me it was jealousy (and I am not saying I am prettier than my friend - but wanting to humble people is a thing I see happen. I also see people putting others in boxes simply by their looks. So, while pretty privilege is a big thing, It could sometimes be a double-edged sword.
Luigi’s glorification is interesting. I feel like if we lived in a world where he was conventionally unattractive, his glorification would regress but I do feel as though the niche audience of people who actually care about this case would still sympathize with the message that the murder of Brian Thompson (UnitedHealthcare’s CEO) represented rather than the actions that led to Brian’s demise. I agree with Troyce but I do believe people's ignorance and shallowness shouldn't distract from what the CEO’s assassination stood for. Brian Thompson being hypocritical towards what his company was SUPPOSED to be providing is what led people to side with Luigi.
I feel like he leaving out that alot of people hate health insurance companies for the luigi hype and is only focusing on his attraction when there alot of people who actually praise him cause he did something that many people wanted to do for family or themselves in the past out frustration. Before anyone knew who killed the ceo he was already being praised. if you didn’t know that insurance company ceo had been blocking so much stuff that they been wanting change for years prior too luigi’s assassination
