Priceless!!! A couple of questions, though. How do you make it so the call is still being recorded even after the transfer? Also, how do you make sure that the transfer includes a) a summary of the first convo to the transferred party, and then b) and intro where the user is introduced to the transferred party along with a brief summary of the things that were discussed before the call transfer???
Hey Jorge, the first isn't possible unfortunately as you're basically switching phone systems. The second part is possible now as Vapi implemented a warm call transfer - you'll find that within the documentation too.

If you mean transfering to a single human, it's there in the video at 4:57 . But if you want a bot to transfer to another bot, that can be done with Vapi squads.
Does the Twillio number affects whether the call can be transferred or not? I am on trial number and I did exactly what you did. But when I say to forward me , it just hangs up the call.
Twilio trial was a bit of a pain for me in the beginning too. I can't fully say that's the reason, but it might be, especially if you call from a different geo location that the whitelisted ones.
@@jannismoore Is there a work-around for this? I've had this exact problem where assistant transfers fine with Vapi number, but won't trigger the function with a Twilio one? Many thanks
Ill be that guy. I followed along, I just want the first "easy" option of transferring the call to just one number. So i put the number in the call forward field. I get an error message that says "exiting meeting because room was deleted". I checked the logs, it appears that the call was transferred correctly, but it wasnt. lol.. im soooo lost. Any insights?
lol, i figured it out, i was trying to call through my computer within the app, not through the phone. it worked fine once i called the number~ lol. Keep em coming, learning alot. Signed up for your website. Appreciate you Jannis

My transfert doesn't work with the second method, I don't have any error, is it possible that twilio bloking any transfert ?

For now the call ended, but there's going to be soon a new feature called warm transfers.
