- What a wild day! My first Chequamegon 40 in the books - I'm not sure why I haven't done this before with all of the hype, but I'll certainly be back. There's so much energy all around and the hype is real. The crisp, autumn air and foliage paired with a wild, challenging course and consistently stacked fields continues the legacy of round #2 of the Midwest Triple Crown.
I'll be back with some experience and motivation next year for the top step!
Nice job, and great video.
You doing it this year? I did it in 2021, but the rain just killed me with the mud and slop. Fun watching you just fly through it.
Cool video. It’s fun to see how quickly fire tower goes by for you guys. 💥🚴🏽♂️😎
This is great! We need to see more of your stuff. The Iceman vid was also great. Thanks for sharing!
I really like your vlog style videos, keep it up!
Casey I can't remember the year but I was there when LeMond showed up after he had won the tour. We were all queued up on the road at the start and the announcer shouted "ladies and gentlemen Greg Lemond is on the line!" He never came out of the clips and dusted the field on a very muddy course.
I was there too! I think 1990 was the year. My one and only Chequamegon 40. But, I'm hoping to ride it this year!
@@adventurerunning still get chills when I tell that story. Of the announcer saying Greg Lemond is on the line and the whole crowd roars.
I was there too. LeMond had won and taken off in a helicopter when I was still 1/2 to 2/3 done! He was there a couple other years too. I raced the 40 from 1988 to 2000ish
Dope video, well done.
Sweet video Casey, thanks for capturing and posting. Hope to see your name atop the leaderboard at Iceman.
Casey, first time this year and thinking Ardent Race 2.35. Too much tire?
Good question - you could definitely run something faster like an Aspen if you have them, but I wouldn’t stress about it too much.
Last year I ran the old model of the Specialized Fast Trak for O2S, Cheq, & Iceman, but I think with the new tread I would run FT/Renegade for front/rear. I’ve been running Aspens all year and they’re quick!
Dull!
Nothing better than a bike rider, whose life is in the hands of car drivers way more than fair, shoots a ton of content just cruising along at 100 kph introducing us to his recent sushi acquisition.
Otherwise, top video.
