      Or you play a different scal over the c and d and sound interesting. Music has rules and also no rules. It’s your job to make it work.

      @@broony77 if you say it's in E major it should be in E major- why confuse beginners and non professionals trying to learn to improvise? And yes, there are rules, one of them concerns playing wrong notes over chords.

    Weird chirping noises... is that metronome leaking into the track, or otherwise intentional? Or possibly my speakers are on the fritz?

      Possibly the hand movement noises on the acoustic guitars? Either that or it's your speakers lol

      @@ElevatedJamTracks Yeah Tom, it's string noise now that I listen closer. I guess some of the quicker chord changes cause a quick chirp rather than the usual sliding noises. At any rate, there's some blistering licks in the solo section - and I need to get busy learning a couple of them! Cheers and thanks for all these years worth of tracks. Your playing has blossomed so much... it's a great day when a notice for a new video shows up! 👍

    are the tabs on your patreon also like the way guitar tabs does it where its numbers on the fret board or do i need to know how to read sheet guitar music for that? wanna buy but if i can't read its prollyk not a great fit lol

    • @Jaymzmiller
      @Jaymzmiller 5 месяцев назад

      All his tabs show both the musical notation, and standard guitar tabs. You also get the tabs for both the rhythm and the solo sections, in Guitar Pro and PDF formats, as well as the link to download the track itself. I'm not here to sell EJT's work, but it's honestly a bargain. The number of cool runs and licks I've stolen from Tom's tracks and added to my own bag of tricks makes it more than worth it.

      @@mattterry128 im just highlighting that the label is wrong it should be E7 not E. People need to know mixolydian is not the same as the major scale. So fuck off with your nonsense comment.

    • @charlesli5521
      @charlesli5521 5 месяцев назад

      It's how he has always done it since I've followed him as far as I know. Titles will have only major or minor (just the 3rd degree) but his scale diagram will give the mode (mixolydian in this case). I'm not sure if this is why but ...if all you play is pentatonic, you're fine off the title alone.
