Almost 27 years old now. It seems like yesterday when this came out. When I read this comment I was thinking there is no way this song is that old. I was wrong and I feel old now.
Takes me back 30 years ago, I was 18 and the future ahead. Now I'm old, already went through one heart attack and have no strength or anything to live for. This song will me get through another day.
I feel ya man my body is breaking down and I'm only 39. I've had back problems since I was 13. I just found this song last week. I've listened to it at least 50 times. It's a fuckin masterpiece
this song is so, so good. it’s like stepping into some other world, and when you get out, you never realize a full eight minutes have passed. well. that can be said for a lot of DT discography but you get the point!
Remember hearing this for the first time in like Fall of 92. What an incredible tune. I'll always want to hear this now and again for the rest of my life. lol
I remember when Pull Me Under came out. I bought the cassette and played the shit out of this song!! I don't remember anything at the time being so heavy. At the time I was into 60s and 70s heavy rock bands and some of the thrash bands like Metallica, Overkill and Slayer. Thanks Dream Theater!
What comes to mind.. The never ending changes in our world, how everything changes and is different from how we remember them being, how something fades away from its former glory and something new comes along and devours everything in its path and pulls us under in the process only as a subtle reminder as to how temporary and insignificant things are, until we wake up and aren't afraid of being pulled under again
Simply brilliant song from DREAM THEATER! I remember hearing this for the 1st time as a young man. Killer then-killer now! It never gets old... \>progressive metal
So many times heard, and STILL incredible! 6:20 - bridge out of guitar solo back to chorus. A songwriter's perfect union, and this band, even live, doesn't glitch here. Unreal. DT for life...
don't know who that is but slow it down lol I can play simple songs right now to work my way up for example easy songs like the entire back in black album by ac dc
TODAY is THE FIRST TIME I’ve ever heard this song… MY GOD!! I’ll never forget this one!! THIS is what MASTERY in composition sounds like!! I hear some Boston, REO SpeedWagon, Def Leopard, Jefferson Starship, Townsend Project, Twelve Foot Ninja, and Led Zeppelin - then they had a jam session!! 🥵🤯😎👍
Always a mix of feeling when i heard this song, it bring me back in time and gave me the feeling that nothing will ever be the same. Dont get me wrong this era is not so bad it's just that i'm not fitting it well.......
I Remember Listening to Pandora a Few Times When They Played That Song Several Times On My Queensryche Radio On Pandora~ *Pikachu Smiles Happily* 😊💕🍪🍫💛
Can't help but wonder who the 12 are who intentionally played this song only to dislike it. Just goes to show that some people just don't recognize great music when they hear it.
Pull me under I'm not afraid. All that I feel is honor and spite. All I can do is set it riiiiiiight. Talk about getting a chub at that part damn, those vocals.
I was a kid when this came out. First time I got high on weed. This song came on at at party. 102.7. Z rock. I was all in while everyone else at the party was oblivious.... Seemed like it would go on forever
LISTEN TO OCTAVARIUM BY DREAM THEATER YOU WILL THANK ME LATER! Yeah both bands are great Prog Metal is great But yeah listen to the song its an epic/masterpiece
Thanks for taking the time to recommend me a song, my friend. :). Octavarium was quite a journey but damn it was worth it. Some of the bass lines they'd throw in and those keys and just...wow. Thanks man. :D
I'm new to Dream Theater. So far, I've listened to A Change of Seasons, Octavarium and Pull me Under. I like their music. Any suggestions for songs or albums, let me know.
Cool dude. This is the sound I think they are heading in with their next album. I saw them live Tuesday preform the bigger picture, they are currently in the UK on their 25 years tour. I would recommend octavarium next to listen too, it's heavier and considered by many their best album but most think it's scenes from a memory.
This song still rocks after 24 years!! killer!!!
carlinfan4life Over 25 years now. I love Images and Words, the best Dream Theater album! 🤘😎🤘
Almost 27 years old now. It seems like yesterday when this came out. When I read this comment I was thinking there is no way this song is that old. I was wrong and I feel old now.

This song is partly responsible for my continuing support of the human race.

I bought Dream Theater on a whim and was completely knocked on my ass by their talent!!!!!! AMAZING band
you can definitely tell their two major influences were Judas priest and classic Rush
Hearing this song played live is one of the coolest experiences of my life. "Oh that this too, too solid flesh would melt..."
What drummi?
Such an underrated band! Truly is a shame cause these guys, even individually, are top notch musicians! But, together, their music is unmatched!
I never heard of them till just recently and imma huge fan of metal
+Mike Lakatos lol... they were not underrated you r backdated
+Muntasir Mannan ^^^^^^^
"underrated"? LOL you mean the most pretentious prog band with the most insane fanboys?

Pull Me Under was HEAVIER than any thrash band's song??????
@@mylovesongs2429 thrash is fast and aggressive but I wouldn't call it heavy.
Reminder that repeating a song on cassette is damn hard!
This song makes me want to lift heavy things repeatedly and often.
One of the greatest songs ever. Jp is an amazing guitar player and mp kills the drums. Great f--k'n band.
One of their best..the progression is on another level.💯💯

the first 19 seconds of this song are overwhelming...
thor Casúr partially correct...the first 8:14 of this song is overwhelming. Or perhaps it is simply just whelming.
The intro gives me a Metallica vibe with the guitar & TOOL vibe with those tribal drum sound!
