Well - I’ve done it! I’ve caught up. I was watching Kevin and Aslan thump-thump-thumping along a week or so ago when he met you at a lock, and of course he put me onto your blog (as you canal vloggers tend to do) so I whipped over and checked out Floating Our Boat. When I saw that Fran was a weaver, I knew I had found a new channel. (I am a weaver as well, and had often wondered how big a loom you could fit onto a canal boat). So….I reversed allllllll the way back to Episode #1 and have made the journey along with you up to the present.
A big thank you from Pennsylvania for letting me tag along and learn so much about the canals, the history, (and a few vegetarian recipes). I look forward to whatever’s coming.

@@FloatingOurBoat He's much improved today. The clue that he was on the mend was when he began to complain about the hospital food. He's hungary FINALLY. We plan to sneak in a home cooked meal in a few minutes.

I imagine you two are well and truly exhausted after the pre-Crick prep, Crick, and then the filming. So many people! It was fun seeing the video with Dee, but also odd to see such a highly produced piece (à la Prunella and Tim) instead of your own more realistic snippets of the simple canal life you've created.
Wow! To have her spend time learning the game of Narrow-boating with you on your boat is a wonderful thing! She's a world class hero and so humble and courteous too! I wish I could watch the whole video but I have a task to do this evening!
What a wonderful time you had with Dee, her innate seamanship soon showed through her initial anxiety. She is also a very delightful person. Her exploits of sailing round the world the wrong way is truly epic and she deserves all the accolades she received .Accolades for you too Fran and Rich for being the best hosts and tutors ,a wonderful vlog I'm very much looking forward to part two.
