yes: you can download the sounds from the nord site. You have 256 mb for your library, most of them for the pianos, but you still have some 60 or 70 mb for other samples (pads, strings, etc.). I'm thinking about buying one of these too!
@TheRedhenProductions Obviously the keyboard is touch sensitive, but some of the sounds won't be, like the organs and many of the synth sounds. And you wouldn't want them to be either.
@ThatsABiggon It makes it a lot easier for me when I want to save a preset organ sound. That way I can just press a button and the whole organ is set where I want it to be. Just don't get a nord if you don't want that feature.
very very very great!! a better instrument than a hammond organ is nowhere! the nord electro have a geat sound, i play on a nord electro too by a friend
Wonder if the guy demonstrating is in a band...at the very end I love the way he launches into some 1970-era Deep Purple-ish riffage like a lot of Brain/Bellaphon bands in Germany did about that time.
The DX7 MK 2 will do as good an Organ sound than this. Plus it can do better bass, analogue brass. And even copy a Roland TR808 drum machine pretty closely. And these underrated gems can be picked up for less than 200 on Ebay. If you think I am kidding check my demo Starship Enterprise at the end of February
that's nothing, i bought 16 of these, and gave them away in christmas to a senior home, so old ppl can rock the house on sat nights, late late like at 5pm lol
I would even prefer mixer style sliders to these stupid buttons! Please give us real organists a break, Nord! No matter how quick the action of the LEDs, one could never grab a hand full & twist or nudge them into place with the palm... Lose the LEDs... or maybe make them heat sensitive... Nah, physical bars please.
Why buy a synth to sound like other instruments??? Organs we have heard a million times before. I thought we buy synthesizers to sound like no one else!
Amazing for organs. Absolutely amazing... Piano sound... Awful. Synths are decent. I am not that picky with synthesizers, seeing as I am not so much a keyboardist as just simply a pianist who plays a synth lead occasionally. Still: too much money for just the organ in my opinion. The rest is very mediocre...
This keyboard is amazing. I just landed myself one two weeks ago. I've never had as much fun playing keyboard as I do now playing the Electro 3.
@BrandonProductions1 the one for changing the leslie speed is just a footswitch e.g. yamaha fc-5
@creativelawgirl, he's playing standard double braced Quick Lok stand with an optional height adjustable second tier.
@fatcat4112 I think that it is the same... of course there might be some other stuff done to it... C2 is basically a C1 with pipe organ as well
@fatcat4112 : yes, the new nord c2 has an improved organ section. It lacks all the piano sounds, though.
That overdrive sounds so sick

Can anyone give tips where to find sheet music or books to learn these kind of funk/soul mad chords and basslines?
Can you use this to filter any midi signal?
Is it possible to have this keyboard with 88 keys? Sorry if it's a stupid question...

Does it sound exactly like a Vox?
this is THE perfect keyboard for my church
@ThatsABiggon buy some external drawbar thingy...
Leslie on a VOX Continental?? I thought I was the only one that actually ever did that! But it was a real one.

@loveatarian A Hammond is still a Hammond!!! =)
want to have the xk-1! It's good, isn't it?
greta keyboard, its important you go through the right amplification. recommend Roland KB series
I am getting one tomorow :)
who are you?!
amazing playing!
@jaileeworthy He is not really playing any songs, there are copyright issues if he plays a real song.
This guy can really play, I bet he is not sorry his parents made him take lessons when he was a kid!
@M4000D QuickLock. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's your choice...
Okay, after the organ, this guy's hands.
Where are the strings? i know they are in the library. f---
@mortyok3 ah...yeah, but only 5 sec x)
If only NORD can lower the price of their product,it will outsell its competition by a mile becoz i gotta admit,they sound good...
chords at 3:10 are cool as!
