Patrick Duffy steps Behind The Rope. Yes, Bobby Ewing in the flesh! Patrick is here to chat about the full anthology of her career and what it was like to be part of one of the most Iconic shows of all time, Dallas. Patrick reminisces about being cast, the early days on set with co-stars such as Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Charlene Tilton and Victoria Principal - to name a few, the highs and lows of Bobby Ewing, best and worst storylines for the character and how life changed as a result of Dallas. Patrick opens up about his decision to leave the show after eight seasons, returning after only one season off, the decision to bring Bobby back to life a la the “dream season”, the viral reaction from fans, life after Dallas and the positives and negatives of playing one character for so long. Patrick also opens up about his life long friendships with Larry Hagman and Linda Gray, the TNT “Dallas Reboot” that ended way too soon a few years ago, the future of the Dallas legacy and whether another Reboot is looming on the horizon. Of course, there was also that other mega hit Patrick was a part of, Step By Step. We talk the transition from Bobby Ewing to comedy, working with Icon Suzanne Somers, other parts he would love to play and finding love again with actress Linda Pearl. Thank you Patrick. What a fun trip down memory lane regarding one of the best and most iconic TV shows to ever exist!

When I was in college I was a waitress in an upscale hotel bar. Patrick Duffy came into town for a celebrity golf tournament. He could not have been kinder and more welcoming. On top of how cool he was, he gave me a generous tip. I will always remember him for this.

The problem with the dream is that it wasn’t just one episode… it was the ENTIRE season! And there were many wonderful storylines and performances from Season 9 that were erased, which was unfortunate…

What an awesome interview! Dallas was my favorite show of all time as well. I was thinking that Patrick Duffy looks very healthy, compared to when I saw him in a cameo appearance recently however he mentioned Suzanne Summers and it sounded like she was still alive, so I’m wondering how old this interview is. Regardless of the age it’s a very good interview. Patrick Duffy is doing well today.

I knew how they were going to bring Bobby back. My neighbor was related to the writer and told me.

@@behindthevelvetrope This is definitely my favourite interview this year. David on your last solo show of the year you should review the year and tell us your favourite moments and interviews, the good and the not so good. Then fill us in on your plans for 2024.

To this day I don’t get why Bobby didn’t just awake from a coma at the end of the season so at least him being run over could’ve been real.

If Bobby had been in a coma you could have had season 8 be Bobby's dream instead of Pam's, which would have made much more sense story wise.
