I think you did everything right. A clean layout, merchandise that's easy to see and organized, a variety of toys, good hours of operation, visible from the road, and a cool owner who knows his stuff. I see a winner here. The only negative thing is that you don't have a location in my town, lol. Cool video.

On the off-chance I'm ever in the US and anywhere near Detroit, I'd absolutely visit and spend some money here, what a fantastic toy store.

Randy! Dude, love that shop so much. Can't wait to see more updates. I had a pretty slamming idea. I dont know if your already planning something like this but itd be so awesome to walk around the store and listen/ see cartoons and vintage commercials for toys playing. Who wouldn't want to shop for MOTU figures and hear the theme song playing in the background. I'm really happy for you man. Congratulations.

Your store is in the midst of an ocean of suburbia!
They are really fond of their grid layouts in America, arent they.
I guess it's the most logical way.
Here in NZ there isnt as many vast flat areas, so our street-plans are more organic.
Oak Park seems nice enough.. hopefully it's not one of the run-down areas of Detroit.
Your store looks fantastic, and I hope you get some loyal customers.
Maybe you could look into getting a fibreglass statue on the roof, or something eye-catching like that.
Or maybe that would be too cheesy for your nice classy storefront.

Drew Lovelyhell Thanks! Yes. Grids are common. This is a nice area and they are just finishing up a huge project of redoing all the roads and putting in pop up parks. Very nice. I got in at a good time.

First off, the store looks amazing, I really like it. Shouldn't it be GEEKOUT thought? Nerd stuff would be math and science related, maybe some calculus books or a telescope.
I wish your store was somewhere close to my area. You have a better selection then any toy store within 500 miles of me, if not further.

People don't carry change anymore! Old school change machine would take up way too much room. Those were HUGE! GoBots on the top shelf and deservedly so! Road trip is a must! Love dollar bin treasures! Looks awesome.

Hey I have an idea what about painting the ceiling tiles black and the grid green, it'll add some contrast and uniform to the store front. overall it looks awesome and if I live in Michigan I'd be a regular

How much is new stock / buying collections versus selling parts of your collection? And I take it you had another job and you quit it?
Bruman new stock is such small profit margins but it’s all part of the game
@@knerdout4601 Sorry, I meant "how much" as in "percentage of your store". Like is it 90% new stock, or like 50% of it is you selling older parts of your collection, etc.
I'm an older collector too, been selling lots of stuff on eBay the past few years, heh.
