gidle is one of the most versatile kpop groups i’ve ever seen! they’ve done so many concepts and aced every single one. i love how soyeon didn’t end up getting plastic surgery done at the end to convey the message that you’re beautiful just the way you are. i also love how they use references like kim kardashian and ariana, and hype boy in allergy

So QUEENCARD is a phrase which students used to call their school belle in the 1980s (I bet students nowadays don’t even know this phrase). But this song literally brings me back memories of my childhood and the message is so profound. Well done g-idle. Well done Soyeon!

When you look at the lyrics as a whole, this song is so powerful. As a native English speaker, if I were to have only looked at the English lyrics, I would have missed the whole point of the song. This song truly is an anthem for people, but especially females, to embrace who they are. We are beautiful just as we are. And it's amazing to have a popular group like (G)I-dle spreading this message.

@@Kpop_553 This music video is a continuation of their previous one, Allergy. In the Allergy music video, the girls, but especially Soyeon, all have insecurities about themselves. Soyeon feels as though the other girls are prettier and more mature than her and she wants to be like them.
In the Queencard mv, the story continues. Each of the girls learn to embrace their insecurities. The lyrics highlight embracing insecurities, especially about body type (size/shape) because society puts so much pressure on females to look and behave a certain way. That's especially true for k-pop idols, and Soyeon wanted to challenge those notions.
Does that explain the story well enough?
Having a leader like soyeon makes this group even more promising.

For those who are confused on the storyline: In Allergy, all of them have their own insecurities and Soyeon wants to be a queen with the other members. In Queencard, she turns herself into everyone, to every member of G-IDLE then she realizes each one of us can be a Queen, she doesn't need to change herself because she's already a queen despite our own individuality. And insecurities? we all have it, she describes it as an allergy and loving yourself is the only way to cure it. I FEEL YOU. Also these references are from the movies, music videos and people we look up to, and we don't need to be like them. Let's break the stereotype.

I really love the ending of both Allergy and Queencard..it send us a strong message if you really analyze it..at the end of Allergy the doctor says "when you wake up you will be a queen" and at the end of Queencard when soyeon wakes up and realises she's a queen just as she is...and on a personal note, whether someone had ps or not, i believe you are at your best when you love yourself

For what I understood, in Allergy she wanted to do it to be like the others, but after the story of queencard she saw that she can be beautiful as she is and then woke up before the surgery. That's why there are so many good messages in the end of the mv.
this whole new era of (g)-idle is so heart warming and comforting that it makes me cry. I'm struggling with my insecurities everyday. And this whole new era of the girls is telling me that I'm cool and pretty on my own and everything I am, even with my flaws, is my "Queencard". Soyeon's behaviors may look "excessive" to outsiders, but it doesn't matter because NEVERLAND will "dote"!
