Ross is honestly one of my favorite Halloween stops, they nearly always have a good 10 items that are high-end looking and unique. Lots of handmade bits, and great glass and ceramic pieces, good blanket selection every year. I like how you showed your bags at the beginning 😁 like a teaser Edit: the mushrooms are witch-adjacent. Poison mushrooms, potion ingredients, overgrown rotting woodland… it’s just gaining popularity, but it definitely leans toward a nature witch rather than the classic evil witch.
Love that RIP pillow! Beautiful plates and dishes as well. Some really nice finds here. The new thing now also is cutting boards in interesting shapes! Amazing the difference in prices from one place to another when like you said the vendors are probably the same. Mushrooms sprouting everywhere! I do love soap dispensers that match themes too. The more Halloween themed items, the better! Thanks! xx
You know…. That reminds me of a skull planter I bought from them a couple years ago. It had gold bats on it and I did indeed paint them silver! It looks so much better. I may consider that!
Omgosh I love the frankenstein mugs! I like a more whimsical halloween, most my decor is jack-o-lantern/witch themed with a few classic monsters mixed in.
Nice Walk through. @0:30. In the cart that bat went when I was at Ross. I think it may go on my mantle. I'm doing vampire and bats which is my favorite. Love the higher end look things at Ross.
Thanks for this cool video! I'll have to head on over to Ross and check out the stuff. I was especially interested in some of those different bowls. We don't get Trick or Treaters here, but I always like to keep a bowl of candy just in case.
I love Ross's Halloween items unfortunately I only have 2 near me and both have limited quantities. I've purchased many unique items from them in the past that I still love to this day. I love the bats and the plates/bowls! Never pass up what you like at Ross, it may not be there the next day. Thx for the walkthrough!
Ross style of merchandising is just a step up from a thrifty store. I bet when the new Ross near me opens it will look like the other three Ross stores near me, and look like everything was just dumped in.
Marshall's Ross tj maxx they get trucks in daily it's so much stuff they generally throw it anywhere it fits and hope it gets bought before the next truck comes lol I work at popshelf we only get 3 deliveries a week thankfully and even that's overwhelming I can't imagine getting trucks daily
@HappyHaunting when we get the stuff off the trucks which come a couple times a week they are dated we're not allowed to put it out until on or after the date our back room is full of Halloween but they are trying to get rid of the stuff out on the floor as much as they can first any unsold merch goes back to the factory they let us trickle out a lil at a time I know it sees like there's so much room there really isn't I go in at 4am every Thursday and Friday to stock shelves and finding places to put everything is my biggest problem lol it should all be out soon mostly decor plates cups candy bowls vases stuff like that we don't have animatronics blow ups costumes or anything big like that 🙂
FYI, I researched what mushrooms have to do with Halloween and this is what I found, sorry for the long post. While Halloween is primarily associated with ghosts, goblins, witches, and other spooky themes, there are some interesting connections and folklore involving mushrooms: Witchcraft and Fly Agaric: The fly agaric mushroom (Amanita muscaria) is a red mushroom with white spots, often depicted in fairy tales and folklore. In various cultures, this mushroom has been associated with witchcraft, shamanism, and otherworldly journeys due to its psychoactive properties. Some legends suggest that witches used fly agaric in their potions and ointments. Shamanic Journeys: In some Siberian cultures, shamans would consume fly agaric mushrooms as part of their rituals, leading to trance-like states and spiritual journeys. These rituals, which took place during the winter months, have some parallels with modern Christmas and, to a lesser extent, Halloween traditions. Death and Rebirth: Many mushrooms, including the fly agaric, emerge rapidly from the ground, grow, and then decay, symbolizing cycles of life, death, and rebirth. This theme aligns with the origins of Halloween, which marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter-a time when ancient Celts believed the boundary between the living and the dead was blurred. Fairy Rings: Certain mushrooms grow in circular patterns called “fairy rings.” Folklore in various cultures associates these rings with magical or supernatural entities, including fairies, witches, and elves. Stepping into a fairy ring on certain nights, including Halloween, was believed to be risky, as one might be transported to the fairy realm or become invisible to the mortal world. Modern Pop Culture: In contemporary Halloween decorations and themes, mushrooms aren’t a primary symbol. However, given the general association of mushrooms with enchantment, magic, and the unknown, they can sometimes be found in Halloween artwork or settings, especially in more whimsical or fantasy-themed decorations. While mushrooms aren’t central to Halloween traditions, the folklore surrounding them intersects with themes of magic, transformation, and the unknown that are prevalent in Halloween narratives. Happy Halloween!
Lol I love the ending! Love love the spider blanket and pillow!! Another great walk thru! 👻
Thank you! I’ve already got that pillow and blanket in the sofa! The blanket is sooo soft.

I thought there wasn’t much at first either until I looked around and found bits and pieces everywhere.
I subscribed to your channel and I'm new! Awesome Ross video!
Well. welcome! We’re glad to have you here!
I don’t like spiders but I love the blanket
It feels so nice too!

Yup
I subscribed to your channel! Also Ross walkthrough video!
Well thank you. And welcome! Glad to have you with us!
Thanks for the video 😊
My pleasure 😊
Maybe the “shroom boom” in Halloween merchandise is in response to the popularity of The Last of Us?
Ooooh that’s a good theory!
I just subscribed to your channel and I'm new!
Well welcome! We’re glad to have you!
Mushrooms are just a huge trend last year and this year. It's related to the goblincore/cottagecore thing happening in fashion and home decor.
Ahhh. I see!
@@HappyHaunting You should see all the mushroom stuff for kitchens Target had last year: sugar bowls, towels, a paper towel holder thingy...
Time to start catching up on your videos, hard to get in the mood when its 105 every day 😢
Turn the AC way low and build a spooky cavern inside!
@HappyHaunting LOL, I did decide to start a village this year. As for the ac our central air went out, been a extra hot summer ☀️

I went to my Pop Shelf earlier today! Didn’t seem like enough stuff out yet for a video.

That was really interesting! Thanks for the insight!
Would like to know what original phrase you might come up with for Halloween ;p
I need to move. All the good cheap stores are 3.5 hours away or more. Great deals for you though.
Geez! Where do you live?!
@@HappyHaunting I live in northern New Hampshire near the Vermont Canadian New Hampshire border. Even Walmart is an hour away.
