Use a fuse tap, Connect to lights that way it'll only work when the bike is on, save ur battery!

All Battery Tender chargers come with a pigtail to attach to your batter as well as a clamp adapter. If you need the pigtail you can find it here. amzn.to/3s0VOnS

I just bought one, hooked it up and hit on and nothing, plugged in phone, nothing! Think I got a bad one. Is it supposed to tell ya the charge when ya hook it up?

I am using this to run a Garmin . Will it drain the battery while the bike is running?

While the bike is running, not is the alternator or regulator/rectifier. As long as you aren't pulling more amps than the output of the alternator or regulator/rectifier, no, it won't drain the battery.

My Samsung s5 phone won't charge. The cable is providing power. Any suggestions.

+WyOutDoors A few things to check: 1) First make sure it's not a problem with your Samsung cable. 2) If you're phone cable checks out, next check the in-line fuse on the Battery Tender charger, it could have blown. Even if it looks ok, drop another fuse in there just to be sure. 3) Make sure your motorcycle battery is actually charged (I know...no-brainer). If it's none of those, you may just have a defective unit. Hope that helps! Keep me posted!

+2 Wheeled Rider . the battery is charged, bike running. The quick disconnect battery tender cable I bought doesn't have a fuze box on it. not sure if that could cause a issue.

+WyOutDoors the battery tender wiring harness should have an in-line fuse built in. The could very well be the problem. I've never seen one without. It may be that it's not a genuine battery tender harness and it's not getting a good connection to the USB plug in.
