Where are you from--some accent to your English. All in all, a pleasant enough short video. Last in Hanoi in 2019 around the New Year and was surprised, as well, at how cold it was. Scared up SOCKS (I live in the Philippines) and a knit cap at a shop near the lake. Great time. Had a great day all by myself due to a squabble with my wife so we took a day apart but still--great time. Got approached by some well-dressed beggars on the street with physical injuries they claimed resulted from the US bombings which--well, all bullshit because I know my history and timelines about US and Vietnam military involvement. I even had one father approach me to have his young son practice his English with me! That was fun.
Super informative, thank you for this video! ☺ I'm considering spending about 1.5 month in Hanoi, may I ask you a few questions? - as someone who lived in the UK, how bad was the cold in Jan/Feb, really? 😂 everyone is telling me it's bad, but as someone from a cold part of Europe too, I can't help but wonder, how bad is it? 😂 - how did you end up solving the Tet week problem? haha - would you recommend staying in the Old Quarters? Thank you for your insights!!
@@storiesofmilo Thank you 🙏🙂 I think UK will have prepared you well haha. It’s definitely bearable with a regular coat, but the humidity makes it sink in a bit more Tet wasn’t as bad as I expected. Grab food still had enough options to make it simple. And if you join some foreigner Facebook groups there should be events I think Old quarter is probably a bit more expensive and crowded. For me I preferred the calm of the lake and it’s still just a quick ride away. Also a lot of activity near Tay Ho area Safe travels! 😄
"guy kinda feeds you" 😂. Not gonna lie the food is literally the main thing making me want to go there
😂 It was a bit of a shock
Nowhere beats Vietnam for price to quality 👌
💛
🙏
