Nice video! This looks like a brutal job. I did my starter and "Y" cable on my 997 and remarked at the time that if I ever had to do the AOS, I would be in way over my head. I'm thinking if I ever need to R&R the AOS, it might just be better to go to a shop where they can drop the engine and also replace all of the plastic components, and other hard to reach sensors, etc. What do you think?

I think that you may be right. It definitely is an easier job with the engine removed. I highly recommend the UAOS since it eliminates the need to remove the engine in the future for AOS replacement. I only got 20,000 miles out of the last AOS so it's something that will need attention again

Thanks for posting this great video. Did you go with the extra drain kit? Going to order after I hear back from you. Thanks.

No. I just did an oil change after about 2500 miles and there was no oil at all in the accumulator so I don't think you need it

So far so good. Google UAOS and you can view the product. It can be purchased through LN Engineering

I’ve had UAOS since it first came out. It does put the diaphagm where it can be easily changed. The manometer readings at the oil fill cap is lower than the factory numbers but it seems acceptable to those who know more about that than I do. I had to replace the warning light after a few years with the upgraded version and I recently added the track drain after the drain plug fell out of the accumulator. I’ve never really had any oil in the accumulator but the track drain removes the need to check and empty the accumulator. The aluminum accumulator is the way to go and I think they might have discontinued the plastic (nylon?) version anyway.
