- A Skylit Drive: The Original Lineup presents: The Jordan Blake Memorial Concert
Jordan Blake passed away on May 1st, 2023. Jordan was a trail blazer and legend in the scene. From various projects like A Skylit Drive, Watchout! There's Ghosts, Trances, etc. he was constantly looking for avenues to create music in. His passing sent shockwaves through our hearts, and he will never be forgotten.
The Jordan Blake Memorial Concert would be announced shortly after, which featured long-time friend of Jordan's, Jonny Craig, on vocals. Once tickets went on sale, they sold out within two days. Right then and there, I realized that I had to film the entire show for Jordan's close loved ones, and fans to see. Whether it's for those who could not attend, or those who wanted to relive these memories.
The project was very much a collaborative effort, and it wouldn't have happened if I didn't have the support that I did. On that note, I want to personally thank Ayesha Fernandez for filming the show, as well as Omar Garcia for lending his footage to be used for The All-Star Diaries, Hey Nightmare, and According to Columbus. I also want to thank Red Woods for dedicating his time and resources to conceive a piano rendition of "The Past, The Love, The Memory." I want to thank the boys of the ONE AND ONLY, genuine A Skylit Drive; Nick, Joey, Brian, and Cory for giving me the opportunity to film and release this show.
I hope you all enjoy it, and that it honors Jordan in the best way possible. Thank you all so much, see you soon.
REST IN PEACE. JORDAN BLAKE STRIBLING.
1986 - 2023.

Jonny should totally do an album with these guys. A new project.
Who knows… keep your eyes peeled.
Seeing Jonny go this hard and be completely on his A game warms my heart. Jonny is living proof that people can rise above their addictions and change for the best. He killed this shit.
Hell yeah he did! Thanks for the support 🖤
God Brian screams are still so good. Thank you Jordan for all the chats we had, I wish I could have seen you and met you.

Same here brother.
Jonnys voice fits so well surprisingly with ASK I hope Jordan got to see this tribute wherever they are
*Homies screams have gotten so good, hella crisp.*
We miss you forever Jordan
Seeing Bryan crying for the last, the love definitely hit me hard. This album is one that made me who I am today. Love you guys, rest in peace Jordan 🖤🖤
Thank you for this! Crying like a baby…big love Jordan, hope you’re resting easy ❤

Rest In Peace, Jordan Blake! 💐✝️💐
The clips you inserted into The Past, The Love, The Memories made me tear up a bit. Great job and thanks for posting, brother.
Thank you so much for watching brother, it’s much appreciated.
Crazy how much justice they did to his legacy. His presence was in that room ❤
RIP Jordan. I saw ASL in Mobile, AL when they were touring for she watched the sky. Epic show and something I will remember forever.
Oh wow. I loved ASD, and Jonny when he was with Emarosa, then DGD. This is pretty incredible.
Thank you for sharing brother. Much love. Jordan will be forever missed.
No doubt brother. Thank you so much for watching and supporting 🖤
@troypatrickmccabe always brother!
RUclips wouldn't let me post my first comment, but I miss Jordan so much
I remember seeing these guys with jag years back, when they mega sold out. I was so disappointed, because i grew up with the OG ASD. Im from stockton, so im close to these guys, and have seen them live so many times. When i saw jordan was playijg with them again, and i saw they were back to the real ASK, it warmed my heart. RIP jordan. She Watched the Sky is so underrated in its importance to this genre. We need a new generation to trailblaze this genre again!
They are truly second to none. One of the greats.
Incredible. I remember the first time seeing ASD live they were actually playing with DGD at Studio Seven in 2007. Hooked ever since, Jordan was such a nice guy after the show - and Cory also hanging out before having to leave. Jordan will be forever missed, made his mark on a lot of troubled kids in a very positive way. Thank you for putting this show on, filming it. My 35 year old ass got some tears….
Thank you for the support, they’re all great people and this was the most emotional video to make.
There was always only ONE A Skylit Drive.
Agreed. And I don’t give a fuck if Jag tries to sue me, A Skylit Drive is Nick, Brian, Joey, and Cory with Jordan’s passing.
I want more people to know what Jag has done, and was strongly considering making a documentary about the whole fiasco, but I really don’t need the legal b.s since Jagmin LOVES to sue people. It is what it is, but I love these guys and will always have their backs, especially when they’re entirely in the right.
P.S:
For anyone reading this, that supports Jagmin; A Skylit Drive existed YEARS before Jag was in the band. They were a NorCal staple before becoming a national touring band with JORDAN. The only reason Jordan had to depart was due to medical issues, and the band couldn’t afford to take time off, as they had just been signed at that point with only one release (She Watched The Sky). Wires was also entirely recorded instrumentally before Jag joined, and Jonny Craig was a huge part of writing Knights Of The Round. For him to try to take credit for a band he didn’t create is appalling.
@@troypatrickmccabe You already know, man. I would love to see a documentary about that situation, but like you said, he would definitely pull some lawyer type shit to stop it.
Exactly. I’m not worried so much for myself, I’m worried for the OG ASD dudes, because they’ve had legal issues with Jag dating back to 2017. I know he’d sue them and I for the documentary. Who knows, maybe someday I’ll go through with it. There’s A LOT that people have no idea about what Jagmin has done, and if it went public, he’d be public enemy #1.
Idk man, for me it’s hella conflicting cuz I’m a big ASD fan and I love what the band did up to Identity on Fire. (Rise was ok but definitely didn’t feel like ASD)
I won’t justify Jag’s actions at all but I won’t deny the awesome albums they did together. Wires Adelphia and Identity on Fire are badass.
I of course thank Jordan for making this band while they were in high school and for She watch the Sky, Drown the City is the song that got me into ASD after all.
I personally wish there was a way they could peacefully resolve all of this but oh well…
@@thatoneguy2136 I understand that brother, I do. Trust me, I grew up on those albums too. But Wires was already recorded instrumentally before Jag joined, and all of the band members wrote the lyrics after Jordan left. For him to try and take credit for all of those albums is baffling to me.
Jags actions have shown that he’s a gross, manipulative, disgusting person, who doesn’t care about the fans or the legacy of the band. He just wants to own the copyright and prevent the CREATORS of ASD from owning it.
I appreciate the comment thank you brother.
What a great recording. It would be cool to see more live shows shot this way.
Thank you! I’m looking to do this for more bands soon!
Damn this hits home :( we miss you jordan.
Man this is simply amazing I remember going to locals shows in fort Worth at the door and also in Dallas and just man this hits so freaking hard and Jonny Craig being with them . Jordan will always be be in our hearts . Again this is amazing!!!!!! Thank you for sharing
Wow the door in ft worth?! Thats some deep cuts right there
@@ElMasBuscado157 yes indeed it is but going to local shows at the door will always be some of my favorite memories
I wish this had more comments and likes
We will miss you
Isso foi muito bom
Jonny did amazing!! Love you guys ❤️
The past, the love, the memory 😢❤
Brian’s screams also, DANG. So good.
You did a great job putting this together. I’m sure the band members and Jordan’s friends appreciate it.
Thank you so much for the support 🖤
This is epic.
Nick, bro... i need a gym buddy like you. Fitness goals.
Damn, I’m glad I found this.
Thank you for your support
I find myself coming back to this video a lot in the last couple of days and everytime i noticed another thing i love about it. it is so beautifully edited and cut together. im a grown man by now but im almost in tears watching this. ASD, Jordan Blake and Jonny Craig were a huge part in my life growing up and seeing this is so bitter sweet. thank you so, SO MUCH Troy McCabe for cutting, editing and uploading this video for all of us to see.
Rest in peace Jordan. Your legacy has inspired and will inspire so many more in this music scene and you will never be forgotten
Thank you so much for watching. Much love.
Same bro
Ya’ll sound amazing!!! Thank you for putting this video together!!! I almost traveled cross country to see this but glad I’m still able to this way!!! Rest easy Jordan we miss you.

*Jordan passed?! I've been a fan ever since he did his project with Etienne Sin. Rest In Peace my brother.*
Watching this again brought tears to my eyes😭😭ASD and Jonny will always have a special place in my heart🌹🤌🏾
RIP IN JORDAN.
Great post! This is amazing to see. I miss old skylit. I also love their stuff with Jag but wouldn't mind a new album with Jonny👍🏼
Jag is fuggin sucksssss as a human and singer lol. Appreciate the support!
I got chills a few times throughout this, but it felt like it was constant during a reason for broken wings.
The best ASD album still. Miss you guys so much. 💕
seeing corey laquay brings me back to my junior high days
The dopest drummer, truly.
God, it was one of the most deep touching things I've ever seen.
Thank you all who took part in this memorial show and made this video!
A Skylit Drive and Jordan will stay in my heart forever.
17 years of listening and still never enough
Thank you so much for the support! I am actively working on getting the cover uploaded, I will send a link here once it’s posted thank you!
Crazy. R.I.P
This is beautiful thank you Jordan . 😭😭
Tearing up 20 seconds in, been waiting to see this thank you for posting 💜

Thank you for the support, it’s appreciated greatly 🖤
#RIP #JordanBlake #ASD #ASkylitDrive #JonnyCraig
It would be tight if johnny did a country album
Pleeeeeease come to the Worcester palladium!!!
Always lovee Corys style. It seems like he just gets lost on the kit.
I remember covering "Drown the City" during our freshman year in college. It was one of the most unforgettable moments of my university days. RIP Jordan.
How bad the situation between them and Jag is since a skylit drive with the guys from the OG line up would be great
The worst it could possibly be. And that’s due to Jags actions by the way.
*32:24*
i wish they had jonnys vocals up a bit more :(
Hi! Thanks for the amazing video. RIP Jordan Blake. Always loved his work. I cant wait to get W!TG to my CD collection. By the way, can you share any interesting information about what happened with ASD? You said you wanted to make a documentary, so you know something. I understand that it is unsafe to do this, since Jagoff loves to sue, but I think people SHOULD know the whole truth! Mb should you post about it somewhere? If you can share any information, please do so. At least a little. Tell me something pls if its possible
P.S. Bad English, sorry!
P.S. 2. Thank you again ❤
Hello, thank you for watching and Jordan will always be in our memories forever. Unfortunately, the documentary won’t be able to come to fruition, due to potential legal issues from other parties. I would’ve loved to get the true story out there, but it’s really not my story to tell. It’s theirs.
I’ll say this; the core A Skylit Drive members are in this video and Jordan is the heart of ASD. Without them, it’s not A Skylit Drive.
Whatever Jag wants to say or do is out of my control, but he’s made a lot of peoples lives a living hell.
I wanted to go but it was sold out
9:51 - GOOSEBUMPS
brian and corey make the band for me
What if Jonny Craig sing for A Skylit Drive and Kellin Quin for Dance Gavin Dance
Kellin would’ve ruined DGD. But hey tilian just got kicked out so who knows😂
Jonny did after he was booted from dgd the first time. It was quite an interesting time. In the span of like 3 -4 months to end 2007, Craig Mabbitt sang with ETF on a night Ronnie was ill, before he got booted from blessthefall. JC got booted from dgd and then finished a tour with ASD after Jordan got booted from ASD.
just curious why they didnt invite kyle?
RIP Jordan you will be missed
Kyle and the boys are on good terms, Kyle just didn’t want to be involved in the reunion or this show, he’s killing it in photography right now. Thanks for watching!
the hair
i bet a reason for broken wings is hard to sing live so im not surprised jonny didnt really sing the chorus
Would love to see them make new music. So much talent. New ASD sucks
Keep your ears peeled, you won’t be sorry. New music is coming. Might not be under the name A Skylit Drive, but music is coming from them.
No way!!!! I’ve been hoping they’d get together to make music, even if under a different name😭😭😭 You did a great job with this edit btw!🖤
Thank you so much 🖤
I wasn't expecting fkn LEVI BENTON on According To Columbus"....
Where is kyle simons?
Cody laquan? Drum?
Who is the current lineup for their tour this summer?
Hi! Unfortunately, the lineup you’ve seen that is going to tour is Jag and a bunch random dudes. He seems to think he has the right to do that, which is crazy to me.
That’s crazy I seen on facebook saying there touring with jag and I was like didn’t he get kicked out that’s insane ❤
@@NOMAD-_- yeah so Jag silently took ownership of the copyright “A Skylit Drive” in 2017, without any of the members consent, therefore he also took all the social media pages with the name A Skylit Drive. He restarted the band after the OG reunion out of spite, and with all random members. It’s crazy how he’s deluded himself into thinking he should own the rights to ASD.
@@troypatrickmccabelol so they had a band for 15 years and never once thought to copyright the name lmao seems dumb on their part. And you act like as if jag wasn't part of the band for 10+ years and released 5 albums. He has as much right to the name. Not Jordan who made one ep and tried to come back and take the name back from jag. That's kinda shitty of them.
@@JarrodF7405first of all, you’re ill-informed. the copyright was dissolved in 2017, and Jagmin trademarked the name SILENTLY without informing the other members after the fact.
It’s funny how you don’t know any of these guys including Jag, but you’re so quick to come to Jag’s defense makes me wonder 🤔
Jonny Craig is ginuine dude, where the f is Jaq?
As far as I know, Jag and these peeps (the OGs) are not on good terms. Jag has the legal right to ASD which obviously doesn’t sit well with them.
The beef is that supposedly the guys seemingly abandoned Jag and he had to manage the whole band by himself, tours paying out royalties and all that. So he says he rightfully deserves the rights to ASD cuz the rest just gave up on it. But on their side they all gave up and left cuz of creative differences and not being happy with the direction the band was going. If you remember Joey was the first one to go post Identity on fire. Then Cory and Brian post Rise. Eventually everyone left.
I know this is just my opinion but they’re kinda right. Starting with Rise, it didn’t feel like ASD. If you ask me, ASD is She watched the sky - Identity on Fire
Anyway, all of this is supposed drama, as far as I know. No one knows what really went down, Jag’s side says he deserves ASD cuz he put the effort to keep it together, the OGs say he pushed them away, or something like that.
I assume Jag obviously lets them play this cuz he doesn’t wanna seem hella scummy especially after Jordan’s passing (just pointing it this out but even when Jordan was alive they played this without any apparent legal opposition from Jag)
My opinion? This whole situation sucks. I’m a die hard ASD of both eras Jordan and Jag. Drown the City was the song that made me a fan and I absolutely love Wires…
My wish is that they could peacefully resolve this conflict cuz I would love to see Jag, Joey, Brian, Nick, Kyle, and Cory play songs from She Watched the Sky (in Jordan’s memory) thru Identity on Fire. But oh well, one can only dream.
@@thatoneguy2136 even though Jaq not a good term with orignal asd member he should tribute for a respect
Wirse felt like it was always missing something and that was Jordan jts just bot as good plus jag sucked as a front man
it should have always been this, never jag
Lol well then Jordan should've never left the band 🤣 and make a bunch of mediocre bands. 🤷 jag actually stuck around for 10+ years.
@@JarrodF7405 You feel better about yourself brother? Oh yeah, how’s “Count Me Out” doing? 😂😂😂
@JarrodF7405 i meant jonny being jordans replacement
Thought for a moment that Jag might have grown up and returned the band their name, you know considering they lost their vocalist and all, I'd have thought it could be a move he would make in good faith but instead he's still sitting on that name and dwelling in obscurity and toxicity.
This is the REAL "a skylit drive", it makes me so sad to see what a massive turd jag turned out to be
Agreed! I think it’s generally a bummer all around. Jag really is a stinker lmao
I love this video, I love Jordan Blake, but Jonny, can you please sing more and stop asking the crowd all the time to sing? Not being an asshole, just sing more.😅
Hi! Thank you so much for the support. Jonny was trying his hardest that night, let me tell you. He had throat problems going into the show and Jordan has a much higher range than Jonny, so the ASD stuff is already challenging for him to sing. The crowd was a welcome voice for sure 🖤
@@troypatrickmccabe I didn't know. Thank you.
Lol, everyome acting like jordan was the best. He made one ep and decided to dip. And then try to comeback 15 years later and take the band again. Like jag didnt make 5 albums and toured 10+ years with ASD.
First of all, it’s pretty disrespectful to speak ill of someone who’s passed. Secondly, no one is discounting Jag’s contributions to the band. People are criticizing the fact that he highjacked the copyright behind the original members backs, and SUED them for touring under the name that they (Jordan, Nick, Joey, Brian, Kyle, and Cory) created in 2005. He’s now parading around with two random dudes and a kid who’s barely 18 as “A Skylit Drive”.
It seems to me and everyone else that Signals (Jag’s project post-ASD) was failing and getting no traction, and he decided to do ASD again because no one gave a shit about Signals and to spite the original members.
While Jag was a member of ASD for 10 years and his contributions do matter, his actions over the past 7 years have been unforgivable.
RIP Jordan. I saw ASL in Mobile, AL when they were touring for she watched the sky. Epic show and something I will remember forever.
