Everyone NEEDS a ranch like this. All our souls need this not just one family that was fortunate enough to be there early with lots of money.
I’m not "bitching" at these good folks...Sincerely. It IS apparent, they have been good stewards, keeping it as natural as possible and upgrading it. Helping others to have the experience and all.
I Just wishing all our souls could have had the chance to be so blessed.

One consistent thing we see in filming ranches is that the owners are all good stewards of the land. They not only wish to share the experience with their guests, but preserve the experience for future generations.

OMGosh - this took me back! Back in '06 I spent some time driving around the Rockies ... Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana; but my favorite piece of it was going through the Grand Tetons! I took literally hundreds and hundreds of pictures! My biggest regret was not doubling my time there! I wish I'd known about the Triangle X at the time!
I do hope the whole COVID thing hasn't forced them to shutter the place - that looks like it'd be *such* a loss! May there *always* be another ride to have, another cook-out to enjoy, and another batch of 'tender-foots' to train-up!

I don't care how old you are, you need to take a week er two, and treat your soul to this beauty. No place inspires the Spirit, like Wyoming! Dude Ranches in Jackson's Hole accommodate people who are content just to soak in the views and the stars at night, that are so close You feel like you could pluck 'em right out of the sky. You don't have to ride a horse or float the river. You can be just as content sitting in a rocking chair soaking up the views and the wildlife. Just do it for the experience!!! Just treat yourself.

You have the luck to life in a wonderful, awesome Country. Love it ! I am fascinated by you and your ranch. I come from switzerland and we do not have this here. I am enthusiastic westernreiter, and try to emulate the real cowboy.
Many years ago I worked on a small ranch in wheatland wyoming. Cattle drives, branding, fence work, colt starting and much more. It was hard work, but it was the best time of my life. I will never forget it, I wish I could work again on a real ranch. I never needed luxury, my jeans and boots were full of cow shit but that did not bother me. haha. This kindness, the willingness to help and the nature in USA are great. I miss it a lot. Get tears in my eyes when i look back at this time...Go ahead guys

WindyHillRanch100 - I never worked a ranch, but I traveled around the Rockies for a while, met wonderful people, experienced Western hospitality, got off the road and walked around some where I suspect people don't get to too often ... *loved* it! I drove almost 2,000 miles (from Rochester, NY), and after driving about another 1,000 miles in the Rockies, I drove back. I've always thought I should have just *stayed there!*
Yeah, I miss the mountains - and the people - so much! I wish it were possible, now, to make that move!

Well, my luck, that i met a woman in switzerland, she was in vacation here, cause she actually came from switzerland. She told me about living on a ranch now, married wirh a us rancher. She invited me then to come over. It was a private ranch, nit a dude ranch.
But just write to all ranches you find, if you can come to work for a summer. They need hard working hands. If you know about horses, maybe you can work as a wrangler. Good luck

      Butter Bean
I worked for Dennis turner who at the time was head of the JY Ranch in 75 and 76, wrangled for the ranch for the summer and helped pack up the ranch for the winter. Best horses ever! Unbelievable country! Best job of my entire life! And somehow at the age of 18 yrs, I knew it was the best job ever! 🐴🐎💪🌲🌲🌈🌼
      Memories, ahhhh

Thank you for making such a nice video on the Triangle X ranch, the views of the Teton range are amazing right out their front door.
I am amazed that no other professionally made video has ever been made of this ranch considering how long they have been in operation and how scenic the location is.
May I make a suggestion for featuring another dude ranch in your series "Great American Dude Ranches"? The Bitterroot Ranch in Dubois Wyoming, another great ranch that has never really had a professional grade video to highlight it's success as a riding destination.

Hi David...we have done about 50 ranches for our TV Series "Great Western Dude Ranches" and have talked with Bayard & Mel at Bitterroot, but they have declined to join the TV Series. We've done the T-Cross Ranch in DuBois, a great adventure for sure. What's interesting is that each ranch is different, it has it's own personality and experience, no two are quite the same. Thanks for your suggestions, always welcome!

Great scenery and a good quality of life. As a Canadian, I would like to spend some time at one of the dude ranches in the interior of British Columbia some day.

Hi Daryle- One of the ranches we filmed for the TV Series is the Three Bars Ranch in British Colombia right by the Banff National Park and St. Mary River. Simply beautiful. You can see the episode at www.HorseTVToday.com in the "Great Western Guest Ranches" section.

Does anyone remember the books. The Green Grass of Wyoming, My Friend Flicka and there was another about a stallion which I cant remember the name of. I was a girl of 10 - 12 and I read these books over and over again and it was my dream to live in the land of horses in Wyoming. Haha I live in New Zealand and always wanted a pony of my own but with 7 kids my parents just couldnt afford it.
Anyway Im 62 now, never got my pony but still dream of it sometimes. This video is my dream come true but it would cost so much money for me to enjoy it and then i may never want to come back.
Thank you so much from a former pony girl x
PS have you noticed all pony girls have long hair.

Patsy Hodge, I read those.books and was about the same age. We we're living in ranch country in Eastern Oregon. I guess I was lucky we always had horses, when I was growing up.

@@judithbeers7598 Oh you were so lucky Judith. I loved the smell of horses and all their tack. Fortunately I did do quite a bit of riding as my friends had ponies but i always longed for my own. You had a magical childhood if it was full of horses.
