      Still is...repercussions still felt, painfully, by us Newfoundlanders who had to leave the island and never to return...loss my family, and culture, gained money and isolation. I have a beautiful son and a career to be thankful for but, I miss the Newfoundland girl I was, and my beloved island and culture.

    Too bad there's no way to stop the Russian factory ships from scouring the bottom with their giant trawl nets :-(
