    I’m blown away at all the positive comments this video has received and can’t believe it’s been viewed over 1,600 times already!
    As I said my main objective is simply to share my ideas and thoughts with the world, but hearing that it has had a positive impact on others is truly inspiring. 🥲
    I feel like my video skills have come along a lot since then, so feel free to check out my latest video, which I’m super proud of:

    Thank you so much for this video! Definitely needed this today. I've been contemplating sharing my work online for ages but never quite got to it in a serious way, perhaps because I've always been somewhat afraid of being judged by others. But the way the book tells you to embrace the amateur mindset is a lot liberating and lessens the pressure of being perfect all the time.
    Thank you so much for such a clear and encouraging explanation of this incredible book!

    I really enjoyed and learned from this beautifully presented and informative video.
    Last week I filmed myself saying a quick message and sent it to my children. That was it! That is the stage I am at. I have begun somewhere, but it was a shock for me, a grandmother, to see myself on iPhone video that shows me as I am, age wise, not as I perceive myself. 😊
    The positive side of observing myself visually is that at least I can work on improving what I’m unhappy with. It kind of empowers me to take action. I am developing an action plan to improve my communication skills, mannerisms, appearance, how to speak to my iPhone as though it were a good friend., and especially how to forget myself and think about serving other people in some way.
    Thank you so much

    • @acuriouscreator5181
      @acuriouscreator5181  2 года назад

      I’m so glad to hear that you’re taking steps. Action is hard, especially when it’s putting yourself out there for others to see, but constant iteration is what brings improvement, and side-stepping the negative self talk we all have about these things and just replacing those words with actions. Best of luck!!

    Hey, this was awesome, congrats for starting! I went through a similar mindset shift this past year and started to have an online presence, been a filmmaker for years and did absolutely nothing for self promotion and what a huge disservice to my own work that is. Social media is not the best thing for my mental health and it doesn't come natural to me at all but I'm not giving up yet, just looking for ways to do this without damaging myself.

      Hey!
      I think I just found the subject (ie Austin Kleon’s book) and then just noted down the 4-5 things that stood out to me.
      After that it was just a matter of adding my own little spice or opinion or interpretation to each of the points. Then I thought it might be nice to start with a quote to hook people in.
      I’m very much still a beginner at all this, but I would say get started and don’t worry about making anything perfect. A few bullet points on a notepad and an iPhone is all you need to get the ball rolling! 👏🏼
