After being a 54 year Native of Tampa Florida, I assumed everyone "rubberized" their roofs. I'm glad that worked out for youz and I'm grateful that you decided long ago to share your adventures! You have certainly inspired lots of others to get out there and start living. The information you provide alone is a valuable treasure! Thank you!
BILL & Deb!. That's exactly what I'm doing with my solar on my trailer!. Using uni struts and the ladder rack that was installed on my trailer from the factory!. Your way of thinking is rubbing off on me all the way over here in the mountains of Utah!.
Bill would really love to hear a follow up video addressing wind noise with the van panels. I did it the same way on mine and the wind noise was so bad I had to remove them, it sounded like a roaring, rumbling tornado jusy trying to find what I did wrong, great video BTW!!! Merry Christmas to you guys!
We've had panels mounted on top of the van in one way shape or form for over 3 years now, and never had any issues with wind noise. Maybe the light bar breaks it up.
I have since reinstalled my panels back on the roof as before and still have the same noise problem, I give up trying and removing them again. Very happy yours are quiet but I can't deal with it, thanks for replying, love watching your channel.....!!
Those are strips of Eternabond Tape. We take a 4 inch wide roll of it and cut strips about 1 inch wide off the end of the roll. It works best if you use a cutting board and a fresh blade in a razor knife. Yes. It works great. When we had the previous panels on top, we taped the wires down the same way. Lasted over 2 years, and it was a real bear to get it off.
Fun Times With Bill and Deb and Ed and Kathy Live.

Does that tape work that you've got holding your wires up on top? And what is that called? Thank you.
