- Bamboo Bursting is a St. Lucian tradition that marks the beginning of the creole season and Christmas. The Bamboo is used to form an 'air cannon', whose sound can be heard from miles away. This young man from Micoud demonstrates how to properly burst bamboo and why he is the best.

Exactly what we do in Ghana west African but use Gangpowder in the boomboo instead of patrolling products.
I guess that's where it came from, because all the Caribbean countries do it.
