8:34 first 3200m, 8:21 last 3200, 4:06 closing 1600. Textbook record-running.
Best race commentary I have ever heard. Familiarity with the athletes, familiarity with the sport, and pretty damn funny. Thank you ATL.
you have to be joking
Wow...I just remember when in1989 Arturo barrios did 27 and something in Berlin for a World record!! How fast these runners are now!!
I remember the time when Ron Clarke of Australia was the only 10000 m runner under 28 minutes,
Hell of a run by Ahmed! Huge PB as well. Too bad he went out a little early. Great run either way for both he and Fisher!
I really liked the commentators they break the race on kilometers and 400 m great job!
omg that was amazing!! i wanted to scream at the people getting lapped to move out of the way lol
It is usually best they don't to avoid collisions, especially in the 10000. Losing a couple of seconds for passing is better than faceplanting the track.
@@terraflow__bryanburdo4547 oh that makes a lot of sense!
It feels like not too long ago when he broke 4 in high school. He's really young still, he might have a shot at the wr if he continues whatever he's doing. Might be a while especially with Cheptigei since he might break it soon but he definitely still has a lot in him.
Idk about WR, but definitely an Olympic medal in 2024
Women's champ - Elise Cranny, Stanford grad. Men's champ - Grant Fisher, Stanford grad'
what an amazing race and great commentry. thank you
I love the announcers. I would love to give them both an honorary announcers medal like they do for winning atheletes at the olympics. Grant Fisher took it to another level. I am really proud of him. Congratulations Grant! I would love to get a teeshirt of Grant Fisher. Conner Manz, he is awesome! He has the greatest of all time in him.
The first guy that got lapped. I think he was in Luis Orta’s vid where he did a hard 2k. I recognize that form 😂
That Fisher kid, he's not bad.
I liked seeing this on US soil too. (I remember how slow some of our women's 1984 OT and OG qualifying standards were). I liked seeing how well Lara ran after enjoying watching some of his training on YT. [I know some men who ran in the Olympics yet never broke 28:00 minutes so this fast running is very exciting to watch].
What happened to Yamato after 3k? I believe he will break Japanese record within 1 year.
Fantastlc Grant Fisher
Good Luck 2022...
Lots of PRs and National records in this race as many of the runners came fit and preparedfor the race. The cool weather probably helped as well. Any idea what the temp was at race time ?
The Burrito Track Club killed it.
No fing kidding. Don't tell anyone though.
Thanks for posting this!
Beautiful relaxed arm swing great for
those bowerman PE spikes tho😳
Que resistencia la de Grant...Bravo.
Thumbnail is 🔥🔥. You’re welcome. 😄👍
Un gran deportista
Lo admiro.
Tremendo corredor
I once did 8x400 @68s and it was one of the hardest workouts I’ve ever done
Grant Fisher should have been a medalist twice in world competition. He needs to be better placed on the last lap. Great job here, though.
Fantastic💯
Almost perfect conditions.
$2,900 for 1st Place and an American Record and less than 2,000 for second place......
How is that adequate compensation for these outstanding world-class runners?
Prize $$ is based on viewership. Athletes get additional bonuses from their sponsors for hitting certain standards and even more for breaking records. That’s where the much bigger value is for the athlete
As the saying goes: Bazeball been veddy veddy good to me.
The meet workers were like “Put the hip numbers on your hips or the side of your leg” and Grant was like “Oh, you mean on my ass?”😂 all jokes of course I just noticed that
4:24 miles
This pist 400m ?
She is sooooo sweet.
GO TEAM CANADA!!!
Drug testing is standard protocol when a record is set, but what about the commentators... they were so relaxed as the record was being set. Someone get them some caffeine. Wake uppppp!!!!!
Which level tonight.....
Kenyans and Ethiopians are not able to access to a such record time.....
They are studiant???????
left when you went to interview mid usa record track coverage is so bad
She herself was 1 second off the American record and they wanted to have it live. Not like we’re missing anything. Quit whining and piss off
Terrible commentary
Too much nitrous in the sound booth.
WTF does she keep laughing about? It's really annoying.
Agreed
@@thomaswebb248 it’s bizarre, like she’s nervous. Just shouldn’t be on the air
Mo Ahmed is not a Canadian. He was born and raised in Somalia and identifies as Somalian. He got Canadian citizenship because he did high school in Canada. Since then he has lived, worked, trained and paid taxes in the United States.
who did he represent during the olympics?
What country does he have citizenship with?
And he runs for Canada
Meh. Lights.
yeah it’s so easy to run 26:33 when you have pacing lights 10 meters behind you. i bet i could do that with the lights and the super shoes. real track was run on cinders!!!
