@@williambudd2850 why are you assuming that successful women are not great mothers and wives? women are not only intended to be wives and mothers..she's a proffesional
The reason why she is flying the C-130 is because she is a fleet KC-130 pilot in the Marine Corps meaning that is what she flies whenever she leaves the team and returns to one of the 5 KC-130 squadrons the Marine Corps has. All of the pilots that fly the Hornet are Navy or Marine Corps F/A-18 pilots and they will return to flying F/A-18s upon returning to fleet Navy(VFA) or Marine Corps(VMFA) Hornet Squadrons.
When you are in the Navy, you get your choices between, jets, helicopters or props. If you are lucky you get what you want and if not, you get what they need at the time. The C-130 is a turbo-prop which you cannot compare with a jet fighter. Different training and that is evaluated at the very beginning, after their basic officer's training. My son went through it and got the jets which he wanted. He felt grateful and lucky.
Olive Papyrus Not a lesser plane. A different plane with a different mission. Once again thats the media painting a false narrative. There is no lesser plane or mission and if they understood the different missions that each aircraft performs and how important each of those missions are they wouldn’t use the term lesser. The Navy and the Marine Corps both fly different variations of the F/A-18 Hornet and the C-130 Hercules and use those aircraft to perform different missions. A quick google search of keywords like EA-18, F/A-18, C-130, and KC-130 and you’ll find more information.

Everyone in the Blue Angel Demo Squadron is a Blue Angel. Unless they're out there fulfilling a mission elsewhere, they're Blue Angels. All of them. Right down to the person who pulls the chocks off of the tires. Hence the uniform. If you don't think everyone in that squadron contributes to their mission, and think the demo could go on without all of them, then you obviously don't understand the armed forces as a whole.

I agree but I think they said that because it's the first female in general, im sure even if it was a person of color they would've said female still, but i absolutely agree
Why not? If a female makes the cut, she makes the cut. There is nothing wrong with a smart, talented female. It shouldnt even be a big deal that she is a female.( ok, so shes the first...i get it) It should be a big deal that she is a team member of an awesome flight team. Welcome, best wishes and hope to see you fly! Awesomeness.
Having a lady on the team is OK, in the end the ratio is 5-7 guys to 1 woman, so they always can check on her and so. What really would be top interesting to see, is the whole team made up of women and commanded by a woman, doing sorties on certain days of the month and under the influence of certain hormones, and with all the little hatred, envy and cheap grudges women use to have at each other due to futile reasons. Then I'd love to see them performing close-sharp sorties one of those days, like the one in 0:08.

c130 is a cargo plane...nothing like the F18 nothing at all.
She’s beautifull and badass!! Real role model we need more like her blue angels 2022 👼 💙
RIP Captain Jeff "Kooch" Kuss
There is a female pilot flying Blue Angel's F-18 this year, Amanda Lee. Very excited to watch in a few hours the jets soaring in Seattle area!
RIP Kuss
My Mom and Stepdad said women couldn't do things. Women wouldnt make it in the Military.. I wanted to be a fighter pilot. Never shoot a kids dream down. This is the best proof we should never limit a growing child's inspiration and goals in life. No such thing as STUPID KIDS! I AM PROOF! I have no reason to remain silent in my fight to build any child anywhere.....DONT BEAT KIDS, DON'T HURT KIDS, DON'T TEAR THEM DOWN! BE GOOD TO THEM AND HELP THEM GROW. BECAUSE, THINGS LIKE THIS VLOG ARE POSSIBLE, IF WE BELIEVE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE..... Pardon me my words are full of pain and no it's not ok to bottle it all up inside. Thank you for sharing such a cool vlog. Please no comments or silly remarks on my post because I won't tolerate it. It's about RESPECT AND APPRECIATING LIFE! NO BARRIERS NO LIMITS. I shouldn't regret saying such positive things. I love this vlog! Good for this Woman pilot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Blesa
BLESS AMERICA
But tou dont see the media saying “white female” but when its a diff race they have to mention thier race!! Smh
I agree but I think they said that because it's the first female in general, im sure even if it was a person of color they would've said female still, but i absolutely agree
That's because she is a Marine, we only see green...
Semper Fidelis USMC.
Capt. Higgins is just too awesome for us mere mortals.
LMAO? HUH???
4:18 - A USMC Captain did that to a Major? LoL!
They are married now
In the cockpit, the ranks become blended. It's her airplane.....they are going to fly around like little bats....in weightlessness. So much fun !!!!!
@@linanicolia1363dosent mean she can treat him like that. If it was other way around you spineless idiots would be calling it sexist.
Thanks you
RIP JEFF
Rest in Peace Capt. and thank you for your service.
She also might not have been trained on that plane. Think before you open your mouth.
Exactly. Typical news media stuff.
Inspiring around the world!
Female military pilots been flying since WW2. CBS!
How cool is this amazing congrats to this female blue angles pilot here
shes an angel alright, female pilots so hottt
Noah Lindsey wtf you saying😂
Gordon Music ikr
God Bless America shoulders and female and male pilots 🙏✌️👊❤️❤️❤️ from phillipens Bernabe asid cañeta zambales
At the 4:50 mark, you do see where the female reporter's left hand goes? Wouldn't that be defined as sexual assault?
David Barnett putting her hands...in the air?
David Barnett If a man did it, probably.
Amazing Team work!!!
She wants to fly a 130 over a 18? Sorry not buying that bs. And they wait till the end to tell you she is just a cargo pilot, not a jet pilot.
She badass! So much respect for her.
Wow, is she good looking!
Well Done Marine to the first Blue Angle Female Pilot, but the second Blue Angle Female Pilot the first flew Fat Albert the C-130 for the team.
you aint a blue angel you u drive the slowplane with luggage!!
maskenmakkan You obviously haven't seen 'Fat Albert' in action. She stresses a C-130 in ways it really shouldn't be stressed.
Adam Fennich shut the fuck up, she aint a blue angel!!
+maskenmakkan Blue Angel + Pilot = Blue Angel Pilot. The team is more than just the Hornets. Plus during the show, Fat Albert flies before the F-18s.
Alexander Love i dont give a shit, she is a blue angel when she flies the f-18!!!
+maskenmakkan #8 Capt. Corrie Mays (a woman) flies in the backseat of the F-18 and does not fly in the show. So is she not a Blue Angel?
An inspiration honestly.
NO VIDEOS YET FOR BLUE ANGELS FIRST GAY PILOT????
It's the Navy...... who the fuck isn't gay...
Why not? If a female makes the cut, she makes the cut.
There is nothing wrong with a smart, talented female.
It shouldnt even be a big deal that she is a female.( ok, so shes the first...i get it)
It should be a big deal that she is a team member of an awesome flight team. Welcome, best wishes and hope to see you fly!
Awesomeness.
Hopefully she doesn't fly with her cellphone. (Just kidding people!)
5:28 Fast forward to 2023, Lcdr. Amanda Lee "Stalin" is now the 1st female F-18 pilot!
Jason Railson what a misogynist dipshit you are.
At least one of crew will be brave enough to stop and ask directions. Ha!
i love you amanda just today i went to the blue angels practice i always thought you as in wing three was the best i’m so inspired when i’m older i want to be just like you this is really the only way i can talk to you i’m 8 and this is my first time seeing blue angels fly it was so cool i went bonkers when you flew overhead and i from buffalo minnesota or minneapolis minnesota i have many minnesotan cousins
