Not sure if it was mentioned, but the price of an RER ticket to central Paris includes a transfer to the Metro (use the same ticket at the Metro fare gate).
@@alexbaker7871 It’s the acronym for the high-speed commuter rail system operating in and around Paris (Réseau Express Régional). There are 5 lines, one of which has its northern terminus at Charles de Gaulle airport (Terminal 2).
Do you know if I go from the airport to Saint-Mitchel Notre-Dame stop with RER B and I need to change to RER C, can I use the same ticket for both rides? Thank you!
We booked our first time trip to Paris today, going on Christmas time. And your youtube channel has been such a help on planning everything. Thank you 🙂
Great video as always! Thanks for showing the way to go to the train station, not that complicated. Our routing is already planned. Get off at 2E, do the usual bag pick and going through customs. Then head for the train station, go to Paul for lunch, then to the IDF Mobilités kiosk for our Paris Visite cards, then RER B to Saint-Michel - Notre-Dame, then the underground corridor to Cluny La Sorbonne station on ligne 10 then the metro direction Boulogne - Pont de Saint-Cloud to Charles Michels and a 7-8 minute walk to our Airbnb. Salut!
Loved this, thankyou so much :-) I am DELIGHTED at how succesfull this channel has become in such a short time, couldn't happen to a nicer couple. J'adore Les Frenchies
Bonjour! I just came across your channel last night and I haven’t stopped watching since! I just wanna say that i LOVE your videos. I have watched A LOT of other travel vloggers in preparation for my trip to France and Belgium, and i can say, BY FAR, your channel is my FAVORITE! ❤ it’s my favorite because it’s informative and straight-to-the-point. Some other vloggers have too much unnecessary fluff, and for someone super busy like me, it’s a pain having to go through the unnecessary fluff. So THANK YOU for such helpful videos! Super appreciate it! ❤❤❤❤❤
Was just there. Suggest more detailed tutorial on the ticket purchase screen such as choice of language, choices.of to let's since there's more than one. And emphasize RER line B which is what takes you into downtown Paris. Should also discuss which stop to get off.
Soooo different now! I remember taking a bus from CDG to Paris - 1977. Come back nearly 20 years later and it was a bus to the RER - 1996. (I will always ❤ the RER!)
Uber was about €10 less than a taxi as of last week, both are great in non-peak hours as Paris traffic is horrible during rush hours. But Les Frenchies, this is probably the best video I've seen on describing the process of getting from CDG to Paris. 👍
I have recently done Paris with my kids for Disneyland as well. These videos were really helpful specially in France very minimal English language using in public places, thank you so much for doing this documentary videos. My only concern navigo ticket was seem to me missold, my cards didn't work on Sunday, even we pay 4 people to 80euro zone 1-5 weekend pass top up, I ended up toping up each 2 days, when I asked the questions from station team at T1 train station they said they can't see any issue 😂😂 I got even payment receipts, at the end I gave up. Please do a full video of what tickets to use and which days they valid. Once again 'Macci' 🙏🙏🙏
My wife and I are planning our first trip to Paris spring of next year. We love your channel! Trying to figure out where to stay. Based on your channel it appears we like the 1st or 7th arrondissement. We want to stay somewhere convienent to walk or short taxi rides. The dinner cruise looks great(LeCalife). We are also interested in cooking classes, great restaurants and bistro's. We are not big on museums, but it would be nice to see the Eiffel tower. We plan to stay 4-7 nights. We live on the east coast in the USA and have direct flights available. We have friends who suggested flying into London and take the train to Paris. They said the airport in Paris could take hours to get through customers and language barrier could be challening. We would love to hear you advice for first time visitors to Paris. Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for your videos. Excellent! We will be staying at Hotel Duquesne Eiffel in District 7. Is it faster to take train or taxi from CDG to District 7? Also, Being from United States, does the Uber app on our phones require anything different when in Paris?
Hi I used your link to Viator to book a private transfer into Paris. Do you know how long it takes to get a confirmation from Viator? It has been almost 24 hours.
My wife and I are going to Paris next month. How is the train for managing luggage? We are going to multiple countries over 20 days and will each have large bag, and carry on and personal bag. Can't imagine managing all the bags on a very crowded train.
I would try to pack less. It seems you will be here for a long trip but chances are, you went use a lot of what you'll bring. On the trains, there are luggage racks on either end of each car and overhead space for smaller bags like backpacks. To be fair, the storage space is open, but it's for all travelers to share.
You just got off the plane, hassled through Customs and just picked up you luggage. Now you’re prey, especially in the Train Station, waiting for your train. And as was noted, you are tired. Adjust your valuables, that cute 4 year old running around is a Gypsy in training!

Hi 👋🏽 I’ll be in France in about 2 weeks but I’ll be staying at an Airbnb a bit outside of Paris (Issy-les-Moulineaux). I’ve been watching your videos on the trains and so on and I saw on Google maps that I could take the n143 then the M 13 and then the t3a. But I haven’t seen you mention the n143. @@LesFrenchiesTravel so it does seem I can take the #12 metro to where I’m staying. However, from the airport I’d take the RER first right ? Then switch over ?
Just landed at CDG for the first time today and we opted for a taxi due to our luggage situation. Your video made it super easy and non-threatening, even with all the “fake” Taxi drivers inside the terminal, just as you stated. Went outside to the actual Taxi stand, confirmed the set price and that the driver would take a credit card, and 45 minutes later, we were at our hotel. Many of your videos have made us look forward to seeing your amazing city with much more confidence than we would have otherwise. Many thanks!
You two are just the BEST! I stumbled on your channel a few months ago (thank goodness!) and have enjoyed and learned something new from each video you made. You really know your audience and provide the exact info needed to ensure a wonderful visit to Paris. Love the updated look of CDG! Covid kept us away and it looks like the airport received a nice new snazzy look.
Good advice from you saved me some euros. First, just heading towards exit door 10 to get a taxi. Some men tried to get me to go to another door since there were 5 in my family. He said larger cars were in exit door 16. Second, when I went outside, I told the dispatcher I needed a larger vehicle with 5 people. We waited a minute or so and he sent me to a small mini van. We were going to an Airbnb right next to Notre Dame. The driver told me I had to pay 83 euros since there were 5 people and I had to pay extra. I saw your video and that amount seemed high. I went back to the dispatcher and he said that was too high. I didn't take his ride and he had me go to another driver about 2 minutes later. He charged me 55 euros and an extra 4.5 for the fifth person. He was surprised another taxi driver was trying to squeeze 83 euros out of me. Thanks again.
One other tip is fake taxis offered to be booked by your hotel. Huge scam and seems soo legit. They work with each other to over charge you double the price and then give each other a cut. Dont let them book your taxi for you. I got into a huge fight with my "taxi" driver who was a reckless dangerous speeding and texting and driving idiot and realized later it was she wasn't a taxi driver at all and was charged nearly 115€ for the ride
Hi Colleen and Antoine, We loved this video! When we visited France, we studied and studied the different ways thru the CDG in order to familiarize ourselves with the things to look for. We were very aware we were going somewhere large and unfamiliar and dealing with another language. My husbands skills were nonexistent and mine were from college days and only updated by watching French channels during the previous months.Luckily my reading skills were better than my spoken ones. We found our way very easily but there was quite a bit of anxious energy leading up to our arrival. This video is so reassuring even now planning our return for next year and dealing with all the regular travels challenges and perhaps more of the same still by next year. Thank You so very much for all you do!
The return trip to CDG on the RER B. can create panic when one arrived at the CDG train station and your original Metro ticket will not let you exit. Every time I take this trip to CDG I see many passengers panicking that they can't get out because thei trip originated on a Metro train using a Metro ticket which isn't accept on RER . However you can get access onto the RER with that Metro ticket but you cannot get out at the train terminal at CDG. You need to cover this topic
A couple other tips- If you arrive at Terminal 1 (United\Star Alliance) you'll need to take the free train to the RER station. Also, when taking the RER, check to make sure you get a train that goes straight to Gare du Nord. Otherwise, the trip will be much longer with all the local stops.
I’ve seen a few videos with both “fast” and local trains between CDG and central Paris-the time difference was only about 5-7 minutes. Besides, the time you spend WAITING for the fast train is time you could be on a local train. :-)
RER B has only 1 track in each direction. Trains won't overtake. So just take the first train. The only benefit of the direct train is that it has only one stop at Aulnay-sous-Bois before Gare-du-Nord. So you can take a good nap without fearing that someone hops in and out grabbing your luggage while you're asleep. That's unless extra stops are added on the fly for whatever random reason. RER B is an adventure on its own.
@@christianbarnay2499 I’ve seen direct trains stop at CDG1 and Parc des Expositions before continuing to Gare du Nord. That appeared to be during spring and admittedly the video was several years old so perhaps schedules change seasonally or have changed altogether.
I fell for the fake taxis I think, as did one more traveler I met, super easy especially when you're all alone. This video unfortunately came to me too late, although I'm definitely saving it for future study abroad students, best video describing the process I have seen so far!!!
We arrived at CDG in October 2023. Train station was in terminal three. There were workers wearing vests with the words”Can I help you?” printed on them. They were so helpful. Signs were easy to follow as you pointed out. Thank you for the videos which really prepared us in so many ways, and took away some anxiety of traveling.
Thank-you for such an informative video. After a long flight and if you've never been to that particular airport it can be a bit overwhelming, this is such a big help! It would be great if you could do these videos all over the world!😀
Thank you so much for this information! Congratulations on your first year, guys! I wish I could be there to say hello and celebrate with you. Keep up the great work! So enjoyable. 🤗 💕
Congratulations on your one year anniversary of RUclips! Thanks for this and all your helpful videos. We are going to Paris in October (finally!) and cannot wait.
Love these Airport transfer videos, so useful and very popular. Would love to see ones for Orly and Beauvais, I assume a little more awkward for you as they are a bit far out. But Beauvais sees a huge amount of British travellers with Ryanair and not much about the bus and train options on RUclips. 👍
You forgot to mention the Roissybus, takes directly to Opera. It is a bit longer depending on your arrival time but in my opinion feels way safer the RER B. Also, the fare is the same as RER B.
We did take the Roissy Bus because we wanted to see a bit more of the area as we travelled. We landed where we wanted to but the bus was generally longer, Not particularly scenic at all and took a good bit longer. Just our experience because we were timid to catch the train and thought the trip would be underground(not so). We learned that of the two, the train is more efficient and faster, and definitely not difficult
I agree. I always take the bus, even if it's a bit longer then the RER or a taxi. When you took a flight for several hours, then waited at the custom and for your luggages, 30 minutes more is not a big deal.
Warning! If I see you two I am going to yell hello like an American tourist!🤣 Just kidding. I will say hello though and thank you in person. These tips and videos are so helpful for my upcoming trip! 👏🙌❤️
Bon jour, each time I went to Paris from CDG airport I walk to a front door straight to Bus station. Look for the Bus took me to the Opera House. From here got into second bus took me Victor Hugo (my class mate friend home here.) But she likes to come to pick me up from airport. And we both took a bus to her house. Here in French the first thing I do go to small little place “sale bus ticket” & bough one week tickets. After they took my picture ID & paid for a week ticket. In French during Sat & Sunday a few main road buses running but many streets no bus running. Therefor you must use a metro. Each time in Paris the Opera House always my favorite place to start walk around Paris. I use to speak French & English very good since not speak French over 10 years & getting aging I forgot a lot of vocabulary. But still I could read so hopefully will not much get into trouble for me next trip. The U.S. fly-attendants always good & kindly with customer. Always as a tourist you must be careful with pickpocket.
Hi Les Frenchies. I’m thrilled for you to reach your one year anniversary. I actually thought you were on longer. Your content is so professionally done and always informative and friendly. Please keep up your good work. Josef.
As always very informative. Always love your videos👍👍👍 Just one thing missing you could have shown where people can drop the luggage ,at baggage du monde which close to the train station by Sheraton Hotel It's very convenient for people who are in Paris for a couple of days. We dropped 2 big suitcases there for 2 days it was a bit expensive 80 euros but it was worth it. It would have been very hard for us to carry them all the way to le Quartier Latin back and forth. We travelled in April 2022, the other luggage storage , the cheaper one was not operational. May be it is now.
Thank you for your informative videos. I haven't been back to Paris in 25 years since moving to the US. We will be arriving at CDG this time with 4 adults with 4 luggages and 4 carryons. Are larger taxi easily available that can handle that many passengers or should I reserve a larger car ahead? We are not interested in the metro/RER with luggages after an 11hr flight 😔
A really great video! My top tips for safety are: Only take a taxi from the official taxi rank Take the non-stop RER B The Roissybus to Opera is a great option
ALSO if your going to Disneyland Paris you can get a short TGV train to Marne Le Valle (DLP) or get a Bus, the Magical Shuttle bus for €23 one way to your Disneyland Hotel or Val De Europe
This is the video I was waiting for 😭😭😭!!! I want to take a taxi or Uber and all the videos I've seen only talk about trains and buses!!! (Tears of happiness 'cause my parents, husband, and I are going to Paris in September) and I also searched for videos in Spanish and French since 2021! Thank you so much!!!! 😘😘😘

Thank you!! I’m flying to Paris by myself for the first time and I was so confused by how to get to the city by public transport. I feel better know what to look out for :)
Thank you both so much for the awesome useful video. My husband and I are heading to France next month for our first visit. We are visiting for 2 weeks with 6 nights in Paris. We have binged everyone of your videos (some twice). So happy to have found you!!
There is also Roissy Bus. More expensive (16€) but it's easier than RER when you have a lot of baggages. It takes you straight to Opera Station where you can take the metro.
I’ve always hopped the Roissybus (follow “Bus” signs at and outside the arrivals/ground level at Terminal 2E, but there are stops at all the terminals) to Rue Scribe, right there by Opéra de Paris Garnier, then hoofed it to my rental usually in the 1e, 2e, 9e or 10e. Piece of cake, safe and a bargain at @16.60€ if you are staying in the area.
Bonjor mes Amis, Merci for this very informative metro pass info. I am interested in the use of the SIM card as (can't afford Verizon $10 p/d plan) I'll be in Europe 2 month. Do you have video on the purchase, use of SIM card. My (unlocked) Nokia 8v doesn't support E-Sim. Suggestion of which to look for.
Hi im visit from Canada and i plan to visit Mont saint michel in Feb 2024 its a day trip. How to get to Mont saint Michel from Paris. By train? Thank You so much.
Great videos always question we coming to Paris in first week of April In Paris can i able to buy a senior 72 years transportation discount for buses or trains in downtown we are from USA means tourists also the Navigo card you buy for 10 $16. it's for 10 one time use or buy a weekly card will be using taxi from and to airport will be April 7 thru April 12 in the city thanks
Information regarding Uber is not very informative for a tourist. Should had showed gate or how to reach there from gate 2E like they showed for Taxi. Very disappointed.
Hello! I took a taxi and the sign said 58 EUR, the taxis guy said yes but sometimes with rush hour it can increase and it ended up costing like 62 EUR. Is this legit? or is the rate flat flat, no exceptions?
Helpful but use of the train, especially with lots of luggage, is very awkward. You'll likely have to take 2 seats, dump into people, etc. Then you have only gotten to a train station and will transfer again to a taxi. After several exhausting train trips I never use the train. Bite the bullet and take Uber or G 7 (the easiest way, directly to your hotel).
I used the link you provided, to look for a Private driver from CDG, but all that came up was from Paris. Can you please let me know who you would recommend from the airport?
I have a 24 hour layover and was thinking of going out! So can I just leave the airport and come back in and go through immigration and security right?

Not sure if it was mentioned, but the price of an RER ticket to central Paris includes a transfer to the Metro (use the same ticket at the Metro fare gate).
And don't leave the station because then the ticket will be invalid; usually have to go up one level to Metro.

It would be great if you could do these videos all over the world!😀
Please!!! Its high time a vlogger tell us how to navigate inside CDG!
Congratulations on your first year anniversary! The Les Frenchies guide is everything😊😊
We are too! 😁
Love these Airport transfer videos, so useful and very popular. Would love to see ones for Orly and Beauvais, I assume a little more awkward for you as they are a bit far out. But Beauvais sees a huge amount of British travellers with Ryanair and not much about the bus and train options on RUclips. 👍
Can you do a video on getting the train form Charles de Gaulle to Bordeaux? Thank you!!!
Far out ?
Orly is nearer Paris than CDG...
You forgot to mention the Roissybus, takes directly to Opera. It is a bit longer depending on your arrival time but in my opinion feels way safer the RER B. Also, the fare is the same as RER B.
I agree with Dundee, I would like to see where to take the bus from and how to get a ticket etc😊
This is really helpful. I like to have a "roadmap" before I go (rather than wander in circles on arrival). Many thanks!
Warning! If I see you two I am going to yell hello like an American tourist!🤣 Just kidding. I will say hello though and thank you in person. These tips and videos are so helpful for my upcoming trip! 👏🙌❤️
How long would you leave to transfer between landing from an international flight at CDG and a train connection from Gare de Lyon?
This video was very helpful. I’m from Chicago and I’m going to Paris on 8/16/22. I can’t wait. I always wanted to go to Paris.
I’m super excited to for the first time in October!! Viva la France 🇫🇷
Hi Les Frenchies. I’m thrilled for you to reach your one year anniversary. I actually thought you were on longer. Your content is so professionally done and always informative and friendly. Please keep up your good work. Josef.
Why didn't you mention the bus 350? It's slow but really cheap (2,15€ per ticket)
good cheap alternative!
My top tips for safety are:
Only take a taxi from the official taxi rank
Take the non-stop RER B
The Roissybus to Opera is a great option
Quick question. The taxi said 1-4 person + baggage’s. If I have 4 person and we have 4 luggage’s and 4 carry on. Would this fit in the taxi? Thank you
I shared the same concern. Is rate diff for larger vehicle?
We always take the RER in but it is def a bit of a walk. Gets your legs moving after flying. 😁 thanks for all your great videos.
How many people can fit into a Paris taxi? We have a group of 5 of us, so I’m wondering if we could all fit into one taxi with our luggage?
Share the same concern and if rates diff? Is it better to split
Why didn't you tell about the Roissybus? It is a cheap, quick, easy option.
@@LesFrenchiesTravel Excellent! I'm leaving for Paris on Monday..Can't Wait!
ALSO if your going to Disneyland Paris you can get a short TGV train to Marne Le Valle (DLP) or get a Bus, the Magical Shuttle bus for €23 one way to your Disneyland Hotel or Val De Europe
Thank you for this video! I was wondering What do you think about the RoissyBus as transport from CDG to Paris?
This is the video I was waiting for 😭😭😭!!! I want to take a taxi or Uber and all the videos I've seen only talk about trains and buses!!! (Tears of happiness 'cause my parents, husband, and I are going to Paris in September) and I also searched for videos in Spanish and French since 2021! Thank you so much!!!! 😘😘😘
You both are so great at giving clear cut information about Paris.
I'm going to Paris in a couple of days and was researching on my options to go from CDG to my airbnb and your videos are a lifesaver!! Thank you so much
I have just returned from Paris and buying the RER ticket from the machines is so easy ..( even someone like me did it without problem.!!.)...good tip abt Navigo Card I wasn't aware you could buy at CDG ...Great Videos 🇫🇷😉
Do I need to go to a different terminal for customs and bag collection?! I will land there in two weeks time and I have lost my sleep in tension...
You did not cover the Roissy Bus, which I consider a safer alternative to the RER, bus, and taxi. Nonstop from CDG to the Opera.
Hi
Do taxi surcharge your lugguages?
@@LesFrenchiesTravel thanks! I always take official taxis but last time they charged me for extra lugguage
How to reach From CDG Terminal 2C to RER B station? Any clear video please?

You guys are the best!!!
No you're the best!!
Bonjor mes Amis,
Merci for this very informative metro pass info.
I am interested in the use of the SIM card as (can't
afford Verizon $10 p/d plan) I'll be in Europe 2 month.
Do you have video on the purchase, use of SIM card.
My (unlocked) Nokia 8v doesn't support E-Sim. Suggestion
of which to look for.
I’m taking a train from This airport to Angouleme. Never been to Paris. What’s the easiest and fastest route from the airport France luggage claim?
You Les Frenchis folks are brillliant covering almost every angle to make one's stay in Paris even more memoriable
My French ass watching these videos from Canada, like «mmh yep ! That’s correct indeed 🧐 »
😂
I think I’m due for a visit home soon 🥲

We're going the last week in March. My wife is very excited.
Hi im visit from
Canada and i plan to visit Mont saint michel in Feb 2024 its a day trip.
Roissy Bus? I’ve always liked to take the bus. Convenient and reasonably fast. Best part is that it picks up and drops off at Opéra.
Hello. I’ll be visiting in January. I don’t have a credit card will that be an issue to buy transportation tickets?
I have a 24 hour layover and was thinking of going out! So can I just leave the airport and come back in and go through immigration and security right?
I will land there on 24th May and sure to get lost somewhere. The entire layout looks confusing...
You both have done an amazing job with Paris!
