- On this episode of the Adventure Agents we are spearfishing for zombie eels in Maui, Hawaii. We catch some delicious fish and eels and cook some of them up over the fire. One of the zombie eels we catch is a monster that was nearly impossible to kill. We do this while playing a game we call no fish no switch.

Hi Adventure Agents. I can't express how much you mean to me. Back in 2021, my grandpa sadly passed away due to Corona Virus. His death really hit me hard. I started getting severe anxiety and trust issues after he passed; because when he was alive it felt like he was one of the only people I could trust. I lay in bed countless nights thinking about him. Just thinking about him makes me sad. He was the strongest person I ever knew. Every time he got sick, he fought it off. He was a Vietnam War veteran, and whilst in combat got shot 3 times; one of the bullets went into his head. He got medically evacuated by helicopter and had to visit countless hospitals to get the bullet out. Even when he was in his 70's he still had part of that bullet in his eye. I can't remember how many times he got pneumonia. The Agent Orange really took a tole on his lungs. I think about him every day, and every time that one thought comes to mind; "I won't see him for the rest of my life. He's really gone, forever." Anytime I'm sad, or having anxiety, I come to this channel. This channel always calms me down. I love seeing the amazing Father-Son relationship you have with Axe and the rest of your children. It's really amazing, and you must be a great Dad. Your fun family adventures, and your camping trips with your kids make me so happy. I used to hide inside after he passed, scared of the huge world I live in. But then I remembered your channel existed. You inspired me to get outside, and see nature. I never really understood how beautiful, and breathtaking the world is. The countless different species of animals, and plants touched me. I started watching more and more, and I fell in love with this channel. If it wasn't for this channel, and your family, I don't know what would have happened to me. And to leave you, I have a question: How do you guys deal with losing someone? I'd like some advice. Thank you Adventure Agents. Life is an adventure. Love is the key. 🧡

Honestly, the only advice we can give here about the loss of someone in this realm is the comfort of the fact that they are not truly and completely lost. We believe that your grandfather is an eternal being that has passed on to another dimension. And though his physical body is no longer impressing on this dimension we believe, if it is your desire, Love will give you the opportunity to be with him again at some point in the great beyond.

First off, the storytelling was top notch. The setup of "no food no switch" was also pretty funny considering you came back after your kid and he's playing the switch. I also liked how you and your son were both equally amazed with how gnarly the eels were that you harvested. I'd definitely be curious to try some kind of skull mount and tanning the skin if I ever caught one.

Be careful with putting rocks on a fire. Sometimes if the rock has an air bubble or a pocket of water in It, the rock will explode. Loved the video!

If I stabbed a cow in its neck, kept it alive, and started to laugh at it while it is suffering, would I be crazy? Nonono, I am EATING it after I tortured it. That’s fine. I could have used a gun to quickly put it down, or used an efficient method, but I chose the slowest and most unprofessional way possible. No, I’m not crazy, I’m feeding my family.
@@JuliRat He was trying to kill it but Idk if you know this a gun wouldn't really work under water in most cases which most the video resides underwater so he has no need for a gun and above water be wasting hella bullets since its squirming so much, plus bullets can be expensive, and how is beating it with a rock a better way to kill it, that seems more like torture to me.

@id6673 no, we don't know them personally. We have just been watching for years. My kids ask every Saturday morning even though it's been a few months since they have posted. I know they have taken breaks in the past which I understand. But you just never know, so we pray everything is all good!

@@mreggo8003why the tail? From experience and different blogs, sources etc. bashing the head in with a hammer is the most humane way of killing an eel.
@@JuliRat i was taught that the head and tail would kill the eel . The head being humane, and the tail safer, and it doesnt ruin any parts of the eel you can eat or use as bait. The head with a knife is not too bad, but with a rock or any blunt object is worse because it ruins the head to be used as bait

The other day I was spear fishing on the small shoreline on our property in florida, we caught a large eel that i dont know the name of, I will agree that they are scary and delicious, oh I also got bit . Anyway this was an amazing vid and your son is very brave aswell. have a blessed day yall.

The only reasons I can imagine it not dying immediately from the Knife to the brain is it's nervous system might still be in tac in some way and you were just seeing those reflexes going off for it's final few times.

So I grew up on a coastal island in Maine, my neighbor has this deep pond, maybe less than a 1/5 a mile from the shore. Water was brackish and we'd net up the biggest eels I had ever seen in person in the wild. We assumed they had gotten too big to leave how they came in, through the underground outlet.

I'm a little worried about one thing, I don't know how safe was to eat that fish that eel ate, I've heard that they have sooo much bacteria in their mouths. If you cook it well, then it's probably safe, but I don't know, maybe I'm mistaken.

Well i have to say, that was the most horrifying slow torture of an eel Ive ever seen. Your knife was in front of its brain and probably between the lobes. But more importantly, Moray and Finn Eels can be highly toxic in most countries. Morays often cause Ciguatera Poisoning which is a life sentence sometimes, it deposits mercury in your blood stream and causes sever food poisoning sometimes. The mercury stays in your mussels for decades sometimes and can cause chronic muscle spasms through out life from any exertion because this causes a release of the toxins back into the blood stream. Its a very dangerous game eating them. I have a friend who got Ciguatera poisoning over 20 years ago and still has chronic health problems, and muscle spasms as a result. She got such a bad dose she has never again been able to eat any fish due to her extremely high risk.
THANK YOU FOR BEING THE ONLY OTHER FUNCTIONAL PERSON HERE! That was an appalling way of slowly killing that eel. It’s like a slow and fatal lobotomy. He’s gonna raise one hell of a psychopath.
