No, I'm not an engineer. :) I have mechanical training and worked in technical jobs for years. But I think the ideas simply arise in my imagination for such buildings. ;) Best regards.

Anybody wishing to do this in the future should consider building inside a pre-existing cave
Careful, any terrane manipulated will return if it's not natural. Then you'll need to dig it back out.
Beautiful base and loved the atmosphere!
I was thinking the same thing. I've lost so many good underground bases because of terrain regeneration.
Occasionally uploading the base helps prevent that
I’ve only had that happen when I made a base during an expedition. After completing it when I comeback to regular save I have to dig the base out.
Until the land reclaims your base
I love this style. Unfortunately, it will be filled back in after 6 months or so and you will need to re-clear it all out. Well done nonetheless!
