    Hi...greetings from West Bengal. Here in Bengal we eat panta bhat. Different from phakla. But I want try one time phakla. Is it available in puri?? Many times goes there but did not notice in any hotels. Also didn’t go at summer. Nice video. But Mam I like your voice very much. Can I see your photos!! Keep going.......

      Bivas Saha you should try fermented phakala in someone’s house hotel and restaurant usually don’t serve them, I never heard that. I think odisha hotel in Bhubaneswar do them I’m going to try it soon but I doubt if they serve the authentic fermented(Basi) phakahala, the way the our village people eat. I have tried panta bhat at my Bengali friends house and she was surprised to find we eat them. That was 2 decades ago still remember when my family and hers travelled from jammu to kolkata during summer holidays and we ate a lot of phakala in our steal tiffin dabbas, with fish fry and alu chutney gosh! I still remember the other passengers thought we all were some aliens. Good old childhood days!!
