Story time: This is the tune that really proved to 4Runazz that they were right to get me on the firm. At the time, there was this guy called James (I won't say his surname), and he was (and likely still is) a massive drum n bass head, producer, me, Andy, Lee and myself were playing on each others tunes, but very little. When James visited, Andy played him the 3 tunes, Andy's first, then Lee's, then the one that was predominantly mine (Andy did play the grand piano part)
James was bopping his head all the way through, so he seemed to like them, but when the 3rd track finished - Ice Cold Milk, he turned around and said "Oh this is exactly my kind of dnb tune". Now let me tell you what goes through the head of baby Enks when this happens:
1 - I'm vindicated in my belief that I could step away from being a devilishly handsome rock star and instead become a drum & bass producer (still handsome and devilishly, of course
2 - I gave Lee and Andy the side eye to see their reaction, because it must be annoying when the first tune I made for them gets picked over theirs when they were miles above me as producers.
3- I stayed silent, but with a cheeky smirk on my face that I was trying to get rid of. Anyone who knows me knows that I struggle to keep my happiness in when I want to smile or laugh, but I managed to hide it fairly well.
I really wanted to say "this is my track", because I like to take credit for my work, but that would have been so uncool, so I had to internally slap my ego about and just silently have a little victory dance in my head haha!
At the end of the day, it could have got us to support very big artists, and that's all that really mattered.
I know that James would have figured it was anyone elses track but mine because I met him as a massive metal head, and nobody else was going to tell him I wrote it.
At the time of typing this, that was at least 15 years ago, and I'm telling it because it still makes me chuckle.
    Never underestimate the Enks!
Why is it called 'Ice Cold Milk'? I hear you ask?!?! It's because Lee said it reminded him of Ice Cold Milk.
I always knew I'd release it one day, and that day had arrived.
