The very first time I met and hung out with INXS was riding skateboards, inside Nassau Coliseum, during the KICK tour, August 1988. Tim, Jon, Gary, three crew members and myself. We lined up some garbage cans and made an impromptu slalom course. This was right after soundcheck around 4:30 p.m.

Oh fantastic experience, were you working there? Amazing if you just bumped into them, I assume security would have been fairly tight!

@@jemxs Yes, I was working there doing catering so I had access to everything; The dressing rooms, the stage (coolers) The sound board, the buses (they have to be loaded up before the bands depart)

@@brucechristensen2161 Melbourne Calling All Nations Tour 1988! My biggest memory of the concert was Mediate... Michael was on a stool and had a spot light on him and the rest the stage was in darkness. He appeared to read the lyrics from a page of A4 paper. After the first 7-8 lines he tore the paper into bits and tossed it in the air....1000s of bits then fell all over the stadium...I was impressed 😁

@@jemxs Nice story. Do you remember who opened for them that night? When I saw them (during KICK) the opener was Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. They had a big hit that year with 'Tomorrow's People'.

@@brucechristensen2161 to be honest I have no idea who supported them! I remember the mates from school I went with, getting the tickets at Bass Northland, but no clue who opened!
What I tell people the most is I was in year 10 at school. The concert was the night before 2 exams, Japanese and Maths. I knew dad would let me go..but mum was going to be difficult. I explained that I was going to fail both anyways...To my surprise she said ok!! Oh and yes I failed both exams...but what a night!!!😜
