Hi Everyone, I forgot to mention in my video, and I am so grateful to Ruth Songer for bringing it to my attention, that you can use one embossing folder at a time for the one page and then add the second one on it's own, straight after. I apologize for failing to share it on the video, I think what most likely happened, it was the deleted section of that tutorial and therefore slipped my mind. So please read, Ruth Songer's comments below. Thanks Ruth. I appreciate you sharing this.
And in response to Ruth, and in addition to this, there were a couple of other reasons why I focused on using two different embossing folders at the one time and showing how I make adjustments. First, as I mentioned in my video, I want to get my work done as quickly as possible, so I am always looking for shortcuts. Doing two folders at the same time, is how I manage that. Once I have worked out what needs adjusting, I keep using the same system and this means, I get lots more pages embossed quickly, that way.
I have also done what Ruth kindly mentions, but even then, I still have found that I have had to make necessary adjustments with just one folder at a time because parts of the embossing is almost not existent. So as I explain in the video, it is all about trying things out for ourselves and what is best for us as individuals, playing around till you get it the way you wish. I just shared what works for me but I appreciate it may not work for others and everyone has their own approach.
The last point is that even following the instructions, thanks, Lunaspirit Beth for your comment, of how to place the pressure plates and platforms, and it could just be my machine or me, I still have to either add more card-stock or less to get results, I am looking for. So I wanted to share this with you all, just in case this has ever been an issue for you too.
Thank you everyone for all your contributions and kind support. It goes to show how much we need each other in the journal crafting community, because what I miss out on explaining can be picked up by others and they can kindly, and expertly fill in the gaps with their generous comments, of which I appreciate greatly. Thank you so much.
Best and happy wishes to you all,
    With gratitude,
    Jarf
PS: my apologies for being a bit too repetitive and long winded...lol.......please know, I am trying to work on that. Thanks so much for your patience with me. Take care.

I’ve learned some amazing tips and love the results, so creative and inspiring. Thank you for explaining your process in details. Just a tip for the double embossing folders if not the same thickness, you can cut 2 cereal boxes same size as your thin embossing folder and use them to increase thickness so as to match the other folder. You can just pilled then up and save them with your folders

Could you not have just run the paper through with just one of the embossing folders on part of the paper and then a second time with the other embossing folder on the remaining side so that you don't have to make adjustments for thickness? Maybe I don't understand.

Hi Ruth, you are so absolutely right. Thank you so much for catching that. I have actually pinned my very in-depth response at the top of the comments section....where I explain things at length. In this pinned comment, I also thank you for bringing this to my attention....it had actually slipped my mind and I am so grateful to you, because it needed further clarification...so please when you get the chance, please read it. Thank you. With appreciation and best wishes to you.
