    The 50/50 conversation was missing an element of age. The men who talked about their women holding them down and paying the majority of the bills happened when they were very young. It makes sense when you're young but when you get older, no woman wants to take care of a 40-year-old man.

    • @lyricbrutha6604
      @lyricbrutha6604 2 года назад +14

      Exactly! That was left out of the conversation. As a youth you can risk it but in your 30s and 40s, who has time to wait around for you to figure things out.

      There shld be no 50/50 in a marriage . It shld be 100/100,
      Once married there shld be no mine or hers or his . It shld always be ours regardless of aging . When we first got married I had nothing but he was there to take care of me . Now that am making good money I shld be there to for him .We are married snd we are one . What’s mine is his and his is mine . We both have access to our Money. We both have freedom to do what we want but once the other disagree about something then it will not be done . It’s love and respect .

    Women can confirm men... all she has to do is hold a mirror and compare his actions to his words. The average man's thoughts of who he is, don't match his behavior. Things like honoring their word, self awareness, good character, and being humble are a thing of the past for many men.

    So many generalizations. I like the doctor's definition of his OWN manhood. He spoke about himself, not every man, or what anyone else thinks. That takes a lot of confidence, which seemed to immediately offend some of them. He defined himself, for himself first and now he is a great help to our community.

    Both men and women have masculine and feminine energy. Masculine energy is about doing, it's action-oriented, whereas feminine energy is about being, and creative intuition.

    • @brotha_pedat
      @brotha_pedat 2 года назад

      Be careful with that. Because that might contribute to the trope that women are human BEINGS and men are human DOERS because it might devalue the humanity of both. And I'm sure you have no desire to do that...

    • @denisefrank164
      @denisefrank164 2 года назад +17

      Men, by nature, are fixers, protectors, providers etc. Those are all action words and stem from the nature of a man.
      A man operating in his masculine energy is:
      * A Leader
      * Takes action
      * Reasons
      * Is Logical
      * Adventurous
      * Strong
      * Loyal
      * Firm
      * Focused on survival
      * Confident
      * Focused
      * Proud
      * Honorable
      * Efficient
      * Powerful
      * Caretaker
      A woman operating in her feminine energy is :
      •Empathetic
      * Nurtures
      * Is fluid
      * Has a softness about her
      * Receptive
      * Open
      * Devoted
      * Creative
      * Compassionate
      * Community minded
      * Heavy on feelings
      * Supportive
      * Intuitive
      * Life focused
      * Understanding
      When men and women are in balance w/their masculine and feminine polarities, things flow vs being stifled or suffocated when out of balance. It’s my belief that until WE reprogram mindset around the stigma about what it means to be male or female, men and women will have trouble meeting in the middle and where the other is.

    I enjoyed listening to my brothers and all of their prospective on the panel. I am a successful black man who has raised 2 very strong, confident and appreciative black boys. I have nice things. When I think of all the great things I heard from this panel, what was most admirable was the brother with red Yankee hat in black. I believe his point about crying with his daughters over the hamster was most profound. That statement spoke to me as a father, a son, a brother, and a black man. My success isn't my money or my nice thing. I would trade it all. I am not willing to trade my connection with my black sons who see their dad as their hero. Thank you who ever you are in the red hat. You hit home for me. I run into so many men who are looking to have that very same relationship with their children. Often times when it's too late. Continue to cry with your daughters. God bless you sir. We as black men can learn a lot from you. I actually want to give a shout to all of the brothers in black. All of you were quiet, but you were profound when you spoke.

    I wish that this conversation was more in depth about why men have the urge to cheat so much and have multiple women. Can we discuss the toxic music and media that push men participating in degenerate behavior? Yall so willing to admit that most men cheat but won't break down the mentality of a man who can't control his urges. Yall want a pass and you want women to be okay with you spreading yourself all over creation. Then you want submission and a pillow/pillar while you out here acting a fool. Let's really get into it.

    He said we (ladies) see an idealistic man is one who provides for more than one. Lol. No we don’t. We look at man as a man who provides for his family, period. And that is doing for the community and why the community has gotten so bad is because men aren’t in the homes, not because they aren’t in the community. They aren’t in the homes. Anything he does beyond his family is extra and that’s great but a man in our view is one who does for his family. 9:55

Everybody’s into outer appearance, healthy eating blah se skip It doesn’t matter if you have a healthy body if your spirit and soul is not in alignment with discipline first and foremost a relationship with your higher power, that will keep you because you can’t keep yourself.! This is why I see more and more sisters staying by their self or unfortunately, moving on to different races! I myself wont go there, but if this is the display in the mindset of our man, what’s the point of trying with you? Thank you to the pastors. We’re trying to break it down to you but you can’t hear you think that you’re worth a lot by your physical appearance will fade and nobody’s gonna put up with your BS. When you’re shallow, everybody can see the depth of you! Smh i’m praying for your brothers and I hope that you put a panel women on here season and young ones so that we can really get a handle on the breakdown of communication and healthy relationships in the black community. get it together brothers sisters are tired of you!!! This is in response to the 44:00 min mark(roughly) in regards to Love doesn't sustain a marriage. Love is THE only thing that will sustain a marriage the problem is we really don't know how to love or what it means to love. When people talk about legacy that's a word that satisfies the flesh and the ego. The enemy would absolutely love for us to think that it's about legacy instead of love. GOD IS LOVE and when you establish your marriage on Love(God) your "legacy" building will take care of itself. Don't be deceived by the devil and have him turn your focus away from love to put your focus on "Man made Legacy". Here is a scripture to meditate on: 1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. Amen. and Amen.

    No 50/50 financial responsibilities i agree with doc. The women these days who work hard and are boss women who can more than help in the household financially were described in the bible as a Virtuous woman.

    I would listen to the happily married men on the stage & not the single guys. The married men seemed to have the most rational and level headed advice. The single guys were real weird with their comments.

    This was interesting. It was a great conversation. It would have been better without the audience. It felt like going to the movie and having to listen to people yelling at the screen.

    Interesting convo, sounds like a group of good men.
    But a few of them seem to be leading with their flesh.
    I like good men but want myself a RIGHTEOUS man.

    40:00 a teachable man is EVERYTHING
    1 Corinthians 13:6-8
    New International Version
    6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
    8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

    Are these guys pastors? There's not much bible quoting going on here in this discussion. I would advise everyone not to take advice from anyone that is not living the word of the Lord cause it's just hearsay. Be careful

    Buddy is the letterman sweater made a great point. My only concern is that many people that live paycheck to paycheck want to be Rich but don’t want to invest or do what it take in fear of losing what little they have. So it’s the Same as divorce ..many don’t want to lose what they have. Took some serious sacrifice to get rich and/or stay married . Shame people if you want to but let’s understand why
