Why doing a rough pass then a finishing path in such soft martial, especially since both endmills used here appear to have the same length? One single finishing pass using the ball nose end mill should sufficient, no?
the first rough cutter will use a larger diameter,the processing efficiency is higher,in order to confirming the better surface,we will use the smaller diameter one
i still dont understand why we should use 5 axis cnc to make a composite while we definitely could make something by a cheaper way, like molding. Please elaborate.
Excellent machine but you'd have a much better finished product using extruded polystyrene or polyurethane foam instead of expanded polystyrene. EPS has too little compressive strength which makes finishing the plug and mold production problematic.

This is more acurate R&D to make a plug then pull mold from it. The you have your composite mold
