Hi Leah! First, I love your stitch names, they make me smile every time. Second, as for your realization that it's YOUR quilt and not listening to that negative inner voice worrying about what some one else is going to think ... it's about time! Yup, it is your quilt and your stitches are all beautiful. Because you share your time, and talent with us, mine are becoming beautiful too. Hope you're having a great day. HUGGGGGs Laura
Thank you so much for your videos! I have been making quilt tops for decades but my machine quilting is only basic. I have been trying to do more dense quilting and your videos are perfect! Thank you once again!
thank you Leah. You got me over the fear of free motion quilting. I purchased your classes Vol. 1 and Vol 2 on line. Made the quilt and the bag and it totally changed my life of free motion quilting. Now I can't wait to finish a quilt top so I can try out everything you thought me. I am having a ball. Doing McTavish now and loving it. Keep up the good work. Hopefully more people will get hooked.
I agree with you on this one 100%.. I made mistakes on my quilting too.. then I realized that who going to know unless I pointed it out to the person.. I just let it go .. I've to tell myself that am learning, and mistakes are a learned process to better myself the next time.. oh!! I finally bought your book for beginner's quilting "from Daisy to Paisley".. Am going to follow along and do one each day for practice.. Thank You Leah for sharing.. :)
A friend of mine told me the follow story, that changed my approach when showing my quilt to others. An acquaintance was admiring her quilt. She thanked him but added, "...but I have a mistake..." He replied, "Now you've ruined it for me. All I can see is the mistake!" Wow. I can't count how many times I've done the same thing. Pointing out the errors in my quilt. That story stopped me in my tracks! If someone is complements a quilt I've made, I smile and say, "Thank you!"
I love your videos. They are such great inspiration. I actually do try them in my quilts. They aren't as perfect as yours but the recipients are always awed. Thanks!
