Please don’t abandon this game after a few more seasons. It’s always been fun for me but it’s so, so much better now. The story is starting to have more of an impact, especially with the most recent easter egg, and all the lore is compelling. Don’t ditch the storyline, and the game is fun. If you end support for the game, then at least make a campaign game continuing the story.
I think they heavily hinted that the next Battlefield will be set in the same world that 2042 has built. I'm guessing it's going to be a prequel set in 2020-2030ish. You're absolutely right. One of the biggest flaws of this game is that they didn't do much with the world that they've built. It's outright criminal.

More like, new people dont know anything about the engine Dice uses and they had to learn for most of the time when BF2042 was in development as well as they tried grabbing new popular things which went poorly as we've seen.
I’d still like to see a skin adjusted after map environment, where we don’t need to change our skins all the time but can save it on specific maps, like Snow skins on Breakaway ❄️
i think all skins should adapt in some way to the map enviroment... war thunder does this, you unlock enviroment adaptive skins and if you're not using a specific skin the game automatically sets the skin to the apropriate one for the map
I finally picked the game up after playing the Beta because I’ve heard good things and I’m glad I did. The game seems to be in a pretty decent place. I just hope they don’t abandon it in the next couple of months.
90% certain they’re dropping the game after season 5. They’ve already said we’re getting no more specialists after season 4. Were getting 1-2 new maps max. And then it’s a wrap. Game was a huge scam. 4 new maps in 1.5 years is an absolute joke
2042 has less population than Battlefield 1, and BF1 is from 2016 lol. 2042 is a giant failure and I hope they learned their lesson to not pump out garbage.

It's too late. There are more people playing Battlefield 1 than 2042. Anyway, I'm ready for the next Battlefield....after only playing 2042 for 1 hour and then refunding. I hope they learned their lesson.

2042 has come a long way. I'd still like to see squad management though, similar to how BF2 did it. The full Commander -> Squad leader -> Soldier structure would be awesome!
Day 1 Player here as well, hope we get enough content this Season. Since we're only told we're getting 1 New Map and 1 Rework, we might have another Season 1 on our hands and that would... definitely hurt this games playerbase a lot for the middle of the Season and would ruin the flow that DICE had going for 2042 so far. Really hoping we get some 3rd map, whether it be another New Map, a new Portal Remake, or something else.

It was really bad at the beginning but with every season its getting better. Season 3 was already a breakpoint for the game and i think season 4 will be Awesome

It's 11 in my time soo¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Also there's a lot of destruction all over this game. Not the most cinematic destruction at all times like building falling in tandem but it's more destructive than any other game besides itself.
F this game. Start over from scratch and this time do if right. Game is still bad in its core (movement, graphics, barely any destruction, bad gunplay, little to no content)
The fact that they're working endlessly to make this game better and better, even with all of the backlash they're getting, really shows their determination to make this into a game like BF 4. Hopefully some day soon it will be at that level!
I can only speak for myself when I say this but BF2042 is a blast to play now. Its actually very very well done and a lot of fun after all the patches it got! Especially the class update is amazing to a veteran like me. Finally a proper battlefield experience with teamplay!
I'm still here, from when you launched the game, hoping and cheering for you! Maybe you failed at the beginning but you're doing a great job and I've passed a lot of funny moment on BF2042 with my close friends! Thats the spirit!!! :D

The quality of the new maps compared to the launch ones is just a massive improvement - this looks again to be a step in the right direction once more. Keep it going please as it feels like BF is coming back :)

The game still have a massive downgrade in gunplay, movement, customization and team play compared to BFV (even with the classes back), and there's barely any good destruction even on the new and reworked maps. Not to mention that 128 players absolutely kills the performance for the game while looking worse compared to BFV and BF1 most of the time. We can only hope Vince Zampella leads DICE to make it right in the next title.

Love this trailer! One question tho, can still a single drone with C4s on it instakill transported vehicles? Was it balanced out or any new defense measure added? Like for example that sentry would target it and shoot down.
You guys have been stepping it up. I personally have been enjoying 2042 again. Feels much more like a Battlefield now. I have those only in Battlefield moments a lot more. This new season is promising new map, 4 guns, specialist, reworked map and a new vehicle.
I don't know if I'm the only one.. but I had so much fun, when I was bored, on mobile app for battlefield 4 commander, that was very cool. Merging fps matches and commander mode in the same lobby awesome! A 360° gameplay experience
You're not the only one. I really miss the Commander Mode on a tablet. That was great fun to do... I mean you literally could play Battlefield everywhere.
Bro theres only 4 loadout slots now and its so hard trying to switch up weapon attachments in the middle of a battle now. When I hold triangle, it swaps to my secondary and brings up the menu for that guns attachments
The team on this video did an incredible job, the syncing of everything to the music was so spot on and the little batlefield theme easter egg was nice, the pacing was solid, among every other little detail they've crammed in here. Absolutely wild
I’m just glad that the devs went back to making actual gameplay trailers. It actually sells what the game is and what it isn’t. I still wish they would implement and U.S. vs Russia mode with standard soldier though.
I'm back after the initial launch flop, started playing a week ago and I love Battlefield again! Feels really decent now compared when it first came out.
These weapons look sick. I do think everybody would appreciate less portal weapons if it meant more resources for fleshing out their attachments/adding skins. Would love a little more flexibility with them! Keep it up

I completely agree. Trailers of games are so epic, but gameplay rarely is. I love the Battlefield franchise, I just wish the games looked like the CGI rendered trailers. Amazing stuff!
The game has been on an upward spiral since season 3. Better maps, better map reworks, the (somewhat unorthodox) return of the class system, and now a bigger emphasis on a grounded narrative... I hope this trend continues with season 4 and beyond!
Battlefield 2042 future content wishlist after season 5: ▪︎ More than 1 map per season post season 5 (2/3 at the very least) ▪︎ Better squad management system ▪︎ Battle pickups/squad killstreaks/perks like BF4 or BFV ▪︎ More weapons per season/mid season ▪︎ New weather events ▪︎ Better weapon camouflages that are actually nice looking (Gold, etc) ▪︎ More drones rather than just ranger ▪︎ Multiple years of support like destiny 2, no mans sky, to make up for launch. Keep up the good work dice.
The Battlefield series has been been my favorite and usually only video game I’ve played ever since Battlefield 3 in 2011. This trailer made me tear up seeing how far the series has come, and 2042 in general. Never thought they would fix this game but it’s become my favorite Battlefield

It's like Battlefield in a lot of ways, with some differences that I thought would be awesome, though the execution wasn't that great. The game felt clunky and performance was pretty horrible... along with being riddled with microtransactions. When I saw that 2042 was going to take a direction like Planetside I was so excited. 2042 had a pretty horrible launch but around season 3 it really had a shift towards the better. 2042's execution of the futuristic theme is much better than Planetside's imo. The larger playercount in conquest is great. That's just me though. Seeing Battlefield evolve over the years with all the ups and downs has been an interesting ride, and I'm happy we're at another high point once again.

Don't get me wrong, I like 2042, but to say is providing more content that MW2 is wrong. MW2 has only been out for 4 months and it has a lot of new content (including all of its modes, I know that 6v6 content is kinda low), and compared that to 2042... Season 1 arrived after 5 months? We only got 3 new maps and a couple of reworks in 1 year... That's not enough content my friend. As I was saying, I have fun playing this game, but one of its biggest problems is content.

i've been playing since launch and I'm glad I stayed, the game is so much better now from when it launched, despite the negative backlash they bounced back slow but eventually getting there, I still believe in DICE, what matters is the fun you experience and create in Battlefield. Keep up with the seasonal consent, were with you all the way DICE
I recently went back and played BF4 still a good game for its time but visually it is starting to show its age. For all 2042 faults visually it is not even close.

Anybody still saying this game sucks hasnt played it recently. Game is really good now despite some of its lingering issues. Now if they just add in a traditional lobby system with map rotation, this game would be amazing and probably my favorite since BF4.

Squad managemwnt is coming eventually, DICE confirmed that in their last podcast. They don't want to hive any dates just yet, though.
it started so low that "coming a long way" simply means it's a decent working game now
I use to love that feature in BF2. I especially liked how the commander could light of UAV's and artillery.

The fact that they're working endlessly to make this game better and better, even with all of the backlash they're getting, really shows their determination to make this into a game like BF 4. Hopefully some day soon it will be at that level!

I can only speak for myself when I say this but BF2042 is a blast to play now. Its actually very very well done and a lot of fun after all the patches it got!
Especially the class update is amazing to a veteran like me. Finally a proper battlefield experience with teamplay!

The quality of the new maps compared to the launch ones is just a massive improvement - this looks again to be a step in the right direction once more. Keep it going please as it feels like BF is coming back :)
"BF is coming back". Yeah no it's not lmao. The game still have a massive downgrade in gunplay, movement, customization and team play compared to BFV (even with the classes back), and there's barely any good destruction even on the new and reworked maps. Not to mention that 128 players absolutely kills the performance for the game while looking worse compared to BFV and BF1 most of the time.
We can only hope Vince Zampella leads DICE to make it right in the next title.

You guys have been stepping it up. I personally have been enjoying 2042 again. Feels much more like a Battlefield now. I have those only in Battlefield moments a lot more. This new season is promising new map, 4 guns, specialist, reworked map and a new vehicle.

I don't know if I'm the only one.. but I had so much fun, when I was bored, on mobile app for battlefield 4 commander, that was very cool. Merging fps matches and commander mode in the same lobby awesome! A 360° gameplay experience
I literally got no work done when I had my IPad at work back in 2014-2015. It was so sick. Had close 1000 kills just off the cruise missile.

Bro theres only 4 loadout slots now and its so hard trying to switch up weapon attachments in the middle of a battle now. When I hold triangle, it swaps to my secondary and brings up the menu for that guns attachments

The team on this video did an incredible job, the syncing of everything to the music was so spot on and the little batlefield theme easter egg was nice, the pacing was solid, among every other little detail they've crammed in here. Absolutely wild
I’m just glad that the devs went back to making actual gameplay trailers. It actually sells what the game is and what it isn’t. I still wish they would implement and U.S. vs Russia mode with standard soldier though.

I'm back after the initial launch flop, started playing a week ago and I love Battlefield again! Feels really decent now compared when it first came out.
These weapons look sick. I do think everybody would appreciate less portal weapons if it meant more resources for fleshing out their attachments/adding skins. Would love a little more flexibility with them! Keep it up

The game has been on an upward spiral since season 3. Better maps, better map reworks, the (somewhat unorthodox) return of the class system, and now a bigger emphasis on a grounded narrative... I hope this trend continues with season 4 and beyond!
Battlefield 2042 future content wishlist after season 5:
▪︎ More than 1 map per season post season 5 (2/3 at the very least)
▪︎ Better squad management system
▪︎ Battle pickups/squad killstreaks/perks like BF4 or BFV
▪︎ More weapons per season/mid season
▪︎ New weather events
▪︎ Better weapon camouflages that are actually nice looking (Gold, etc)
▪︎ More drones rather than just ranger
▪︎ Multiple years of support like destiny 2, no mans sky, to make up for launch.

The Battlefield series has been been my favorite and usually only video game I’ve played ever since Battlefield 3 in 2011. This trailer made me tear up seeing how far the series has come, and 2042 in general. Never thought they would fix this game but it’s become my favorite Battlefield

@@loganheaton9213 Yup. In my opinion each one got better for the most part ever since I started with 3. 2042 was a huge creative shift in the series, and in my opinion most of those changes were for the better.

@@loganheaton9213 When I first heard of Planetside 2 I thought it was so cool and wanted to check it out as soon as I could. It's like Battlefield in a lot of ways, with some differences that I thought would be awesome, though the execution wasn't that great. The game felt clunky and performance was pretty horrible... along with being riddled with microtransactions.
When I saw that 2042 was going to take a direction like Planetside I was so excited. 2042 had a pretty horrible launch but around season 3 it really had a shift towards the better. 2042's execution of the futuristic theme is much better than Planetside's imo. The larger playercount in conquest is great.
That's just me though. Seeing Battlefield evolve over the years with all the ups and downs has been an interesting ride, and I'm happy we're at another high point once again.

Don't get me wrong, I like 2042, but to say is providing more content that MW2 is wrong.
MW2 has only been out for 4 months and it has a lot of new content (including all of its modes, I know that 6v6 content is kinda low), and compared that to 2042...
Season 1 arrived after 5 months? We only got 3 new maps and a couple of reworks in 1 year... That's not enough content my friend.
As I was saying, I have fun playing this game, but one of its biggest problems is content.

i've been playing since launch and I'm glad I stayed, the game is so much better now from when it launched, despite the negative backlash they bounced back slow but eventually getting there, I still believe in DICE, what matters is the fun you experience and create in Battlefield. Keep up with the seasonal consent, were with you all the way DICE

I recently went back and played BF4 still a good game for its time but visually it is starting to show its age. For all 2042 faults visually it is not even close.
