It doesn't matter! He is such a nice guy! I have no idea where he was going to but he stopped to have a chat with someone he doesn't know. Very friendly and very patient.

I just bought a honda NC700 today, all thanks to RJ really. I always liked bikes but never took that extra step to get one myself.
What you said about looking after the bike for the next person is absolutely true. I bought it off a guy who really took care of it, it could be put in a showroom and you'd think it was brand new.

I ran into an older chap while out for a ride in Exmoor last Friday. He was out on his newly acquired Bonneville and we just happened to end up riding the same way. Stopped at a nice spot and chatted for a while and he bestowed some local knowledge on me and pointed me in the direction of some great riding roads.
I'm not a particularly sociable person, but you do meet some of the nicest people on bikes.

I do mine every 600 mainly because it only takes 1 litre so it is super cheap, I change the oil filter every other change though.

im not a bike person, not even driven one, ever, to be honest. I dont watch bike videos but for some reason these videos are such an enjoyment to watch and I think its not because of the bikes. even though RJ's bikes sound like a wet dream I think its more to do with hes personality. Its seriously hard to find the not overhyped, yelling and screaming over edited things on youtube but this is perfect. I sit and listen to the talk about oil changes and enjoy it but I have no idea what it means. I have watched probebly all of rjs videos

RJ, do you think you could start a series where you do a search on best starter bikes and review them? If this is too time consuming could you do a non biased review on the 2017 grom compared to the older gen?
I only ride bikes when the opportunity arises, rarely on purpose unless I'm interested in buying. Next time I take the Grom for a service will try and arrange a test ride on the new one.

My 125s got changed every 1000 miles or so as they were ridden hard and the oil collected a lot of contaminants. That was thereabouts monthly for me. More often than that is just pouring money away. My XV535 did silly miles and every 2000 was the half-manual schedule but I felt still quite often. My 02 bandit came to me with 7000 miles on it, barely run in, and the oil comes out pretty clean after each 3000 (3/4 manual recommendation). I'm sure when she gets another 30000 on the clocks it might not be so clean running.
