Denis- hi! Your lifetime of hard work and discipline is so evident in this performance. Like others mentioned, what struck me was your choices (interpretations) for the sequence of tempos- it just felt very powerful throughout- I could really *feel* it. Also the precision of your mordants and the bars that follow your hands crossing- there was such care and concern, but also precision, in your playing. This is a real gift to us- thank you! 😊
This is so entertaining, encouraging, brilliant, inspiring, flawless perfection!!! Had never heard the whole thing! My favorite song is in the middle! 🎶🎶
Yes, the 2nd and 3rd movements are equally beautiful and fun to play. Sadly, it's only the first movement people are most familiar with. But it happens with many of the Sonatas, people will know one or two of the movements, but don't know it's all part of the same piece. Perfect example is Sonata no.2 opus 27. Aka Moonlight Sonata. People love the 1rst and 3rd movements, but it's all one piece with a less known 2nd movement in between. 😊
It has been a long time since I had fully listened to this sonata. I started to listen to you thinking this was a tutorial and you intrigued me until the end. Very appreciated you upload content of such a great musical and recording quality.
Thank you for your kind feedback! There is another video which is a small tutorial: ruclips.net/video/ZJKo49z5Cms/видео.htmlsi=8LJI3E4eqMoEsX8g and there is a more detailed course on this piece as well: pianoskillsandmagic.teachable.com/p/beethoven-sonata-pathetique-op-13-complete
I dabbled with the first movement of my favorite Sonata some time ago, thinking about picking it up again. Now I hear your brilliant interpretation will hasten my desire. Thank you very much! Keep up with the great work!!
Beautiful playing. Personally, I'd play the 2nd movement a tiny bit slower, but that's the lovely thing about interpretations :P. Currently playing the C major sonata (2/3) but would definitely like to tackle this one as well one day. Your voicing in all the mvts is sublime
Wow..... This is my fav of beethoven What an amazing choice of tenpo You nailed the dynamics Specially the second theme Could have been a bit more legato.. I feel.. And the modulation too
Amazing dynamic control and emotion...balanced with crisp technique...very inspiring and beautiful

It’s so hilarious to hear something like this from people with their own playing well-exposed for comparison.
