But what's with the fence between the field and the stands? And why it is all over the stadium? I thought stadiums in Northern Europe were safe. Is the fence always been there?
We already had them due to UEFA sanctions for European matches. Then last year, after an incident with a "fan" throwing a lighter at an Ajax player, they went up permanently. Also, there is one positive side to this. Eredivisie matches are continuously canceled because fireworks/cups thrown on the field. At least we don't have to deal with that bs anymore.
