I lost my Father and Grandfather on the same day when I was 16. Whe all have the same name. I am the 3rd. Tears every time I hear Heath mention his Grandpa.
@@dustinmartin3056 heard that song not long ago. Been listening to his stuff for a few months now and really appreciate his music. The fact that he's a singer-songwriter separates him from most.
Absolutely. I've been listening to him since Bobby Bones invited him to sing on air almost 2 years ago and even been to a show before this Corona virus stuff. Only 10 bucks a ticket to see him. He's awesome but doesn't post too many songs on here anymore so I try to keep posting everything of his I can get for people to hear. Thanks for subscribing. I'll keep the content coming.
Well I wouldn't have been so scared to ride the back of that yellow bus And that bully mighta got the best of me, but he wouldn't of got the best of us He'd a had my back and I'd a had his, when mamma got the call If I'd a grown up with grandpa We'd a spent the summers hauling hay, and cuttin' up in them fields And we'd a fished the same ol' muddy banks, with the same old rod & reel He'd a had to share the first time that Red Man hit his jaw If I'd a grown up with grandpa It ain't his fault and it ain't mine We were born in different times And for this time sake I guess it's just as well If we'd a had the same good old days There'd a been a whole lot more hell raised Neither one of us ever raised ourselves And I'd know his old stories, cause I'd a been there to live em all If I'd a grown up with grandpa There'd a been twice as many beer cans, hit the bed of that bucket of rust And we'd a hunted the same little piece of land, chased the same big buck Given half a chance man we'd a ran to town this small If I'd a grown up with grandpa It ain't his fault and it ain't mine We were born in different times And for this time sake I guess it's just as well If we'd a had the same good old days There'd a been a whole lot more hell raised And neither one of us ever raised ourselves I'd know his old stories, cause I'd a been there to live em all If I'd a grown up with grandpa We'd a ran the same ole county roads, until they ran outta dirt Me and him would a been best friends, a lot longer then we were But I'd still live my life trying to be like the man in them overalls If I'd a grown up with grandpa If I'd grown up with grandpa

Well I wouldn't have been so scared to ride the back of that yellow bus
And that bully mighta got the best of me, but he wouldn't of got the best of us
He'd a had my back and I'd a had his, when mamma got the call
If I'd a grown up with grandpa
We'd a spent the summers hauling hay, and cuttin' up in them fields
And we'd a fished the same ol' muddy banks, with the same old rod & reel
He'd a had to share the first time that Red Man hit his jaw
If I'd a grown up with grandpa
It ain't his fault and it ain't mine
We were born in different times
And for this time sake I guess it's just as well
If we'd a had the same good old days
There'd a been a whole lot more hell raised
Neither one of us ever raised ourselves
And I'd know his old stories, cause I'd a been there to live em all
If I'd a grown up with grandpa
There'd a been twice as many beer cans, hit the bed of that bucket of rust
And we'd a hunted the same little piece of land, chased the same big buck
Given half a chance man we'd a ran to town this small
If I'd a grown up with grandpa
It ain't his fault and it ain't mine
We were born in different times
And for this time sake I guess it's just as well
If we'd a had the same good old days
There'd a been a whole lot more hell raised
