In Nigeria, no foreigner moves around with a passport. No one even checks if you are a foreigner or not.
When i was in South Africa, I walked around with my passport and even with that, I am always stopped by the police. A lot of people were arrested for not holding their passport.

This is nothing compared to the crimes that’s happening in SA. Police took out 6 armed robbers last week and another 4 robbers 3 weeks ago. Armed robberies are very common and it happens in broad daylight.
