You'd think fans of mr bungle would get this...seems like very few in the crowd did. Like, im listening to the album California now, and it just seems like people who like off the wall music like this would understand neils set.
+Kev Craven I've been going to shows for the past 8 years(not a brag, just a fact) and I can say with certainty the majority of music fans are dumb. I'm not even talking taylor swift or nickelback fans, either. Music fans in general.
Is it me or does it sound like he had a backing track of hecklers playing through the PA? Also with the football crowd wailings.well I guess if you're expected to get heckled...drown out your hecklers with a blaring heckle track! That's kind of ingenious actually if that's what he did. If not, then I claim cred. 😬
Gregg Turkington was born in Australia, is a vegan and animal rights activist, used to hang out with dudes like Will Shatter of Flipper in the worst parts of San Fransisco, and is a super nice dude, so he is hell of a performer to have created such an alter ego, that actually has remained relevant, perhaps more now than ever when most comedians bring along fucking life story acts. He is an Entertainer, and part of the Neil Hamburger facade is trolling how dumb most entertainers and comedians are. Its actually refreshing coming back to Neil, a comedian who doesn't bring a fucking biography of their life and experience with them. The Secret Chiefs shows I have gone to in OZ are filled with fucking moronic Slayer and Faith No More fans. Most music fans are moronic pieces of hit, even the Bungle fans.
Think this is at Selina's, Coogee Bay Hotel, Sydney. I was there and remember him getting spat on and coins thrown at him. He took it like it ain't no thing haha!
This feels like a completely different act with more emphasis on him not being funny, Neil's later material is actually funny imo because of his delivery, like Norm Macdonald. I think this is hilarious too but he is butchering the jokes here, and imo he basically sells all these jokes now.
Mike Patton needs to collaborate with Tim Heidecker. You'd think with his connection to Neil Hamburger/Greg Turkington that it would have happened already.
Neil's harsh touring schedule has taken its toll on his voice over the years, but he still has the strength of 3 comedians.
This video of Neil is the greatest vantriloquist act ive ever seen! He doesn't move at all! I never knew he had this skill 😮
His delivery got so much better over time. Love the voice he does.

I was thinking the same thing! Why don't they get it?

half the crowd are probably fnm fans.
People go to shows whose bands they aren't even familiar with for something to do.
The crowd may have been full of Bungle fans, but this show was in Australia, which is far more politically correct than the USA.
He doesn't have cancer, he has funnyguyitis.
Early Neil Hamburger sounds so much like Jello Biafra.
You're right!
Was thinking tyre same thing

The Darth Vader joke killed me lol

If you haven't watched On Cinema, I'd highly recommend it. It's a completely different beast but equally as genius as Neil Hamburger, if not more so.
But thaaaaaaat's my life
Every clip i watch is him starting a riot lol

OOOooo BOOOOYYYY ......😫
🤓
haha
Love the burger so much!!!
The hecklers make it even funnier!!!
The Anthony Kiedis joke is epic.
He sounds like a smoothed-out Jello Biafra.
That's because he's wigged out on quaaludes.

Wow his 'voice' has changed over the years
I thought America's youngest comedian was Dan Nainan.
Before the throat cancer.

Freakin legend . I love Hamburger so much !
it all makes sense now.
thanks for that
SF is a rowdy town.
Pretty sure this is in Australia
Ya think?
Rough crowd.
why didn't Santa come down the chimney? because he was impotent
It took 3 seconds for that joke to kick in
nnnnnnnnnneeeilllll hambgerrrrrr
Man early Neil is terrible in comparison to his newer stuff, but I still laugh so hard.
It's all terrible. That's the whole point.
,d Au (comedy gold)
