Just think about it :D Jesus got crussified he took all our sins !! not all of us believe but some do and we have to respect that!! we all make mistakes but God doesn't blame us for it he forgives us! even if we don't believe god we still get forgiven!!!! but luckily some do believe God and when we do we have eternal life! Im a Christian I used to be catholic but I switched I learned this from church ! I just thank god I found this song I screw up a lot and at times I think how how can he forgive me forgive us this song helps me remember it's because he loves us and for those who accept his son as their savior truly they have life eternal I thank him always for that gift and for the constant reminders thank you God. So I've been having a really hard time for months now and I've been keeping everything in check but today things got a little tiring and I listened to this song by Skillet for the first time today and wow...why am I crying? I am so amazed how this song, which I really can't relate much too, has the power to make me break down.

I like skillet cuz their songs can be interpreted differently to different people. Like i hear this song as a friend/partner being forgiven, and you hear it was God forgiving sinners. Their a grear band cuz they can be enjoyed by religious and nonreligious people alike :)

As a Catholic, I can definitely see how this song can be out into a religious context. However, as a boyfriend, I practically consider this one of our theme songs. We may have fought, but did we separate because of it? No. We forgave, and we learned. We changed so that those mistakes and fights wouldn't be repeated. I've never been happier in my life.
So can it be about God? Yes. Does it have to be? Not at all.

John Cooper did say "this is the most overtly Christian song on the album". As a Christian that's what I get from it, but to see a Christian band like Skillet, who has been doing this forever, to cross over to the mainstream then I say let people think what they want. The songs are positive and hopeful and whether you're religious or not, that's a good thing and that's what matters.
